Another outstanding meal at Cypriana's! Our server, Nick, was excellent - very personable and attentive. The food was incredible - Greek salads, spinach/cheese pies, lamb shank and Greek grilled chicken - perfectly prepared and delicious! One of our new favorite go-to restaurants!

We had a Saturday evening reservation for two. The free parking lot across the street had lots of open spots. We were seated right away in the dining room which is open to the bar (but not noisy). Our server, Chessa, was great - friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. We ordered halloumi and roasted olives for starters. The cheese was a little bit rubbery and not as toasty and soft as we have had at other restaurants. The roasted olives were fine- a variety of olives simply heated up. The bread accompanying the starters is puffy and delicious. For entrees, we ordered lamb chops and a beef kabab. We were not asked about preferences for how the meat would be cooked. The lamb chops were a bit overdone but the beef was nicely cooked. The cucumber salad served with entrees was a bit tired and the fries were fine but not memorable. The wine and cocktail lists are very nice and well priced. The dessert menu looked wonderful, but we did not order one.

I can't believe I haven't been here before. The food is amazing, the atmosphere is memorable, and we had a great time for date night. THe grilled octopus melts in your mouth and the other dishes were also amazing -- Chef Maria knocked it out of the park. Not a single complaint about Cypriana, and I look forward to going again.

Recently moved to the neighborhood and were looking for a new spot to try for dinner, open table showed an opening and the other reviews seemed positive so we decided to give it a shot. Our table placement was a bit inconvenient, the waiter was pleasant, the food was great, we loved the grilled octopus and grape leaves, my boyfriend is picky about them and we probably try the grilled octopus everywhere we go that offers it on their menu, that said this was by far one of the best we’ve had, very tender and perfectly charred on the outside, didn’t even need the sauce they served with it. Definitely intend to go back to sample more of the menu.

I would have given this four or five stars across had it not been for the waiter. He started off quite nice and attentive but then he seemed to disappear. The table ordered a salad to share but the entrees arrived before the salad. The food runner took the entrees back and a salad eventually came. However, when the entrees did come, they were cool. I ordered the suggested wine paired with the entree. That was not delivered. I had to get up from my seat to ask for the wine and still it did not come. I then went to the waiter again to tell him the food was cold and that I wanted to order a different bottle of wine. He did bring me a fresh entree but I never got to order a different bottle of wine--he simply brought a full bottle of the suggested wine (the table wanted white instead). To top of it all he offered no apologies.

Went with a small group for Mezze Madness. We all shared a plethora of delicious items from the menu (falafel, meatballs, moussaka, cucumber salad, stuffed grape leaves, etc...) for a great price of $35/pp. Greek red wines are outstanding and there is a nice variety of beers. Server was attentive.

One of my go-to favorites. Excellent food, excellent ambiance. So pleased to see it crowded on a Monday night; best to make reservations. Chef Maria and husband Vassos are welcoming and circulated among the diners. The food is fresh and made to order. Topnotch place. Will return soon.

Our server Ben was phenomenal. He had an excellent understanding of the menu, knew the wines inside and out, and was overall a friendly guy. The food was outstanding as well. Chef maria’s menu lives up to the hype. Definitely check it out if you haven’t yet. A Baltimore must-do restaurant.

We had the most wonderful meal last night. Fantastic small plates of Falafel, hummus with eggplant, and vegetarian grape leaves....one was better than the next. We both had the whole grilled bronzini and loved it. But, but, but...we were seated next to where the servers and busboys congregate outside the kitchen and unfortunately this staff was loud and talking poorly about some of the guests while doing their side work the whole time we ate. I suggest you ask your staff to limit this while next to dining patrons...it was kind of unsavory and mean. Yet, overall we loved our meal and the friendly owners and will be back!!

Excellent first visit to Cypriana! After talking with our server and the owner, we realized that the Cypriana restaurant was owned/operated by the same people that ran the Cypriana Cafe that we used to frequent often in downtown Baltimore before it closed to relocate! The food and the service is at the same high level that I remember! Our food was wonderful - spinach/cheese pies, Greek salad, chicken soup, lamp shank and chicken tenderloin with pita bread were all delicious! Our server was wonderful! We will definitely be returning...often!

1st, parking is across the street in Cypriana's own lot--it's not listed on the website. 2nd, be prepared for a mark up on lamb chops, if you order them. I wasn't told that they were going to be "market price" until the bill came out, (which was a 98% mark up from what's on the menu.) Other than that, the food was pretty good, esp the mushroom bisque, and the octopus. I also had the tenderloin kabob, which was excellent, but you only get one kabob. Interestingly, I wanted the pork belly, but was told that it wouldn't be ready for another 30mins. What? Also, when I ordered dessert, was told they were already out of one---on a Saturday at 7pm? I find it odd that a restaurant that was voted as one of the top restaurants in Baltimore ran out of food on 2 items on a menu on a Saturday at 7pm. Regardless, what I ate was pretty good. Atmosphere--preppy, blue hair, but just what you expect in Roland Park/Guilford/ University area of town. Thank goodness they're not so snobby that they DO serve Natty Boh, like all good Baltimore establishments do. Everyone is pretty friendly there, and they really welcome you--the restaurant is nice looking too. Couple hiccups to the meal as mentioned, but really solid food.

I love Cypriana as a neighborhood restaurant. My last visit (Oct 9) was every bit as pleasant, but I noticed that the food is saltier than I remember. I generally eat a low sodium diet so it's fair to say I do notice salty food, but this time it seemed overdone, the kind of salty that stays in your mouth afterwards. For everyone's health, young and old, I would suggest that Cypriana be more conscious of this with their food preparations, and ease up on the addition of salt.

Thank you for being here!
