CUT By Wolfgang Puck at FS Downtown New York
Food and service were very good! You can get the same quality food for less money elsewhere, though.
Everything about this meal was terrific. The service was amazing we felt like movie stars. Everybody paid us a lot attention. The staff was fun. The food was great! The drinks were perfect. Will definitely come back!
This was my first time at CUT Downtown NY. It is connected to the Four Seasons. The ambiance was cool and the Staff was friendly. I had my sights set on steak but I wasn't sure which one (USDA Prime Dry, American Wagyu or Japanese Wagyu Miyazaki Prefecture) I wanted. After the Staff gave me a short informative history on the three steaks, I decided to share the Tasting of New York Sirloin option on the menu which includes a portion of all three steaks and I am glad I did. All three steaks were great, cooked to perfection and each had its own distinctive taste. ( I think I am a little partial to the Japanese Wagyu though but hey it's just my palette.) For side dishes, I shared Sautéed Broccolini and Yukon Gold Potato Puree which were excellent. The bread was addictive and the drinks were delicious.
I highy recommend this location.
Impeccable service. Food was top notch. It was truly a culinary journey in a chic setting. We will be back
Ribeye was great but overpriced. I can get better value at other local steakhouses.
The food was delicious. The buratta was tasty and our steaks were cooked to perfection. The server knew the wine menu very well and was enthusiastic about pairing us correctly.
Overall an amazing experience.
Cut is a full experience, from the moment you arrive , until you are ready to leave. Great steaks, gourgeos setting and amazing service.
Was an amazing dinner! Loved meeting Wolfgang!
The best food ever - eggs benedict with jalapeño biscuits forever
Steaks were good, the rest of the food was just okay. The service was horrible! Our food took forever, our waiter never checked in, we had to flag people down to get our food, bill and tab paid. It wasn’t even a busy night. Very disappointing.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at CUT. We dined there on Saturday evening, August 3 before going to our Broadway show. We were seated right away and approached by our waiter immediately. The ambiance was lovely and all of the wait staff were attentive and very pleasant. Then there's the food- beyond delicious. We loved the breads and the sides and our steaks were incredible! Thank you so much for such a wonderful dinner!
Came for restaurant week was expecting the restaurant week menu for dinner. They informed us that it was only lunch, even though their website has a restaurant dinner week menu on there. Everything was over priced for what it was.
I went here to celebrate a business closing. I had to rate this venue as fair overall due to a number of factors. While seated, the restaurant has runners/servers who constantly are scanning your table to make sure the water glasses are full or ready to remove dinner plates. They are omnipresent and it becomes quite distracting. It got to a point where I asked our main server to tell them to stop circling like vultures as it was becoming annoying! As we finished our main courses, they swooped in and removed our plates. The same happened with desserts and I finally raised my voice and told them to stop! At the food level, fair also. For the prices paid, there should have been more substantial portions. I would have to compare it to Shula's in Florida. There a boneless ribeye is rather large and enough for two, if desired. Here, not close.
I would venture to say I will not be returning here.
Consistently great! Steaks, apps and wine selection are always perfect.
Staff was very attentive and each course was delicious
Relaxing environment for our discussions
While this will not be an inexpensive night out, it will be worth the visit! The food was of high quality and exquisitely prepared. The service staff were so attentive and personable, adding much to our enjoyment of the evening. And when we were too full to order dessert (because our entrees were that good)...they sent us home with a delicious, complimentary slice of cheesecake. We definitely recommend CUT for your next special occasion and we will be back for sure!
My first dining experience at this new location. It’s located in the lobby of the Downtown Four Seasons Hotel. Good thing I confirmed the location - I was about to head to the Midtown Four Seasons. The restaurant appears small by CUT standards. But, the service was excellent, and very accommodating. I was impressed with the helpfulness of the sommelier. I was given an excellent wine for the price range I was considering. Menu selections are great. The choices for non-meat eaters is quite good, too. And, leave room for dessert.
I LOVEDDDDD IT !! Food was amazing everything tasted great, staff was very attentive and kind. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for tasty food and and an amazing atmosphere ;)
Fantastic meal. Great service. They really made my dad’s birthday special. Thanks!
Amazing tasting menu
Food was fine but the service was not... unlike my previous visits.
Hostess doesn’t pull out table for people to be seated
Waiters never once came over after taking the order
No one came over to ask if the steaks were cooked properly
No one came over to see if we required anything
Service is better in Burger King
Service was fantastic. We couldn't wait to eat here as we love a great steak. I ordered a filet. My boyfriend ordered a sirloin. His had a lot of fat. He had a hard time chewing it. Mine lacked flavor. We were so disappointed! Best steak we've ever had has been from Jeff Ruby's and not sure anything will compare. Just wasnt good tasting steak, period. Our server was great. She brought us dessert and it was really good.
This place is first class across the board. You will not find better food, and you will not find better service. The steak is unparalleled.
Food is good, bad service
A+. This place is a premier restaurant of the highest order. Both the food and service really stand out, even among the constellation of outstanding spots in Tribeca.
THE BEST SERVICE EVER!!!!!!!!
Perfection on all points! We had a lovely evening with old friends and the meal, service , noiseleves... everything waspurrrrfect
Everything was excellent.
We went with some friends for brunch on Sunday. Weve been there several times and enjoy it! Service is usually excellent and attentive. The brunch menu is great. I plan on returning!
I used to love the grilled chicken salad at CUT but someone changed the way it is done and now it is quite skimpy on the salad. Too bad, I like the place but honestly 3 leaves of Romaine does not constitute a salad!
We have been at the restaurant several times before and had very good experiences. Last night we were there with a party of 6 and were very disappointed. The service was very poor, rude actually, and the food took forever. The food, when it arrived, was quite good but management needs to take a hard look at the service and the delivery of food
I'm a regular...food is consistently good. Some nights better than others but I've noticed service has declined a lot in the past few months. Will be a while since there are lots of new options downtown now.
I visited there for my birthday, I wanted 'happy birthday' on my dessert that I saw some photos from Yelp are so good and I thought maybe my desert too?? but nothing,,, its little disappointed,,
I wrote here 'its my birthday' when I book the reservation, so I think they know it,, maybe they do only their client? Anyway not good to me.
I am saddened to say the steak and meal was just ok compared to other NYC steak houses. Seasoned so lightly and the steak was dry, this entree was just average. The appetizers and dessert were ok, but neither wow'ed me. And, I wanted so desperately to adore my meal as I have been a huge fan of Wolfgang Puck for years, but this meal just did not CUT it for me for value, food and presentation, to continue my Wolfgang Puck loyalty, inspire me for a return visit or to recommend to others for a visit.
Great dining experience. The food and service was incredible.
Fabulous service and excellent cuisine. A meal to be remembered
An as avid steakhouse patron I was very satisfied with the overall experience. One of the best! Service was impeccable, bar staff very attentive and made excellent wine recommendations. Food was fantastic. Steak was cooked to perfection. Get the macaroni and cheese and baked Alaskan!!
You don't have to be a steak-only type of person to enjoy Cut, but you certainly can be. There are plenty of other options - plus gorgeous salads - all beautifully presented in a cozy atmosphere. Dark walls and burgundy leather and velvet chairs help set the ambience. Attentive and helpful wait staff.
It was Easter Brunch and the service was deplorable. The food was average and overpriced for what it was. Small portions, dry pastries and slow, lackluster service.
