CUT always impresses. My guest on this visit commented several times during the meal on his exceptional steak, the standout sides, and the outstanding service. The variety of the dinner menu makes this a perfect place for non-steak lovers as well.
Prior to the ordered meal arriving, the chef sent to my table a square of seared sirloin with chimichurri sauce and a waygu beef slider, foccaccio bread and a salted pretzel roll. My entrée was pork belly with suckling baby pig and it was delicious! Although French fries were served early and cooled, the chef sent another order over to be hot together with the entrée! Excellent!

Wow, CUT has really stepped up their game at this location and the results are notably different. It was a very busy Thursday night but our meal was expertly prepared and the service was excellent this time! We live nearby and have dined here many times and usually there is something that goes wrong - either extremely slow service, cold or burnt food, steak not prepared as requested, etc. Something has changed .... and it’s so good that I’m taking time to write this review. Please continue whatever you did on Thursday, that team is a winner.
I came in with no expectations, but this was the best filet I've ever had in NYC, and I've been to most of the great steakhouses. Tender like butter, absolute perfection. Came with an array of mustards, sauces and salt on the side to experiment with, which was fun.
The starters and dessert were also excellent - creative, flavorful, well presented. Lastly, a good cocktail selection. I'll be back, with colleagues.
Very enjoyable meal for a special occasion. Several staff members tended to us throughout the meal and offered guidance and recommendations on the menu. The steaks were well flavored and cooked perfectly and the pasta was unexpectedly a stand-out favorite.
All the staff was amazing and the food prepared by the chefs all came out perfect.

This was my first time at CUT Downtown NY. It is connected to the Four Seasons. The ambiance was cool and the Staff was friendly. I had my sights set on steak but I wasn't sure which one (USDA Prime Dry, American Wagyu or Japanese Wagyu Miyazaki Prefecture) I wanted. After the Staff gave me a short informative history on the three steaks, I decided to share the Tasting of New York Sirloin option on the menu which includes a portion of all three steaks and I am glad I did. All three steaks were great, cooked to perfection and each had its own distinctive taste. ( I think I am a little partial to the Japanese Wagyu though but hey it's just my palette.) For side dishes, I shared Sautéed Broccolini and Yukon Gold Potato Puree which were excellent. The bread was addictive and the drinks were delicious.
I highy recommend this location.

The food was delicious. The buratta was tasty and our steaks were cooked to perfection. The server knew the wine menu very well and was enthusiastic about pairing us correctly.
Overall an amazing experience.
Cut is a full experience, from the moment you arrive , until you are ready to leave. Great steaks, gourgeos setting and amazing service.

Steaks were good, the rest of the food was just okay. The service was horrible! Our food took forever, our waiter never checked in, we had to flag people down to get our food, bill and tab paid. It wasn’t even a busy night. Very disappointing.
We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner at CUT. We dined there on Saturday evening, August 3 before going to our Broadway show. We were seated right away and approached by our waiter immediately. The ambiance was lovely and all of the wait staff were attentive and very pleasant. Then there's the food- beyond delicious. We loved the breads and the sides and our steaks were incredible! Thank you so much for such a wonderful dinner!
Came for restaurant week was expecting the restaurant week menu for dinner. They informed us that it was only lunch, even though their website has a restaurant dinner week menu on there. Everything was over priced for what it was.
I went here to celebrate a business closing. I had to rate this venue as fair overall due to a number of factors. While seated, the restaurant has runners/servers who constantly are scanning your table to make sure the water glasses are full or ready to remove dinner plates. They are omnipresent and it becomes quite distracting. It got to a point where I asked our main server to tell them to stop circling like vultures as it was becoming annoying! As we finished our main courses, they swooped in and removed our plates. The same happened with desserts and I finally raised my voice and told them to stop! At the food level, fair also. For the prices paid, there should have been more substantial portions. I would have to compare it to Shula's in Florida. There a boneless ribeye is rather large and enough for two, if desired. Here, not close.
I would venture to say I will not be returning here.

While this will not be an inexpensive night out, it will be worth the visit! The food was of high quality and exquisitely prepared. The service staff were so attentive and personable, adding much to our enjoyment of the evening. And when we were too full to order dessert (because our entrees were that good)...they sent us home with a delicious, complimentary slice of cheesecake. We definitely recommend CUT for your next special occasion and we will be back for sure!
My first dining experience at this new location. It’s located in the lobby of the Downtown Four Seasons Hotel. Good thing I confirmed the location - I was about to head to the Midtown Four Seasons. The restaurant appears small by CUT standards. But, the service was excellent, and very accommodating. I was impressed with the helpfulness of the sommelier. I was given an excellent wine for the price range I was considering. Menu selections are great. The choices for non-meat eaters is quite good, too. And, leave room for dessert.
I LOVEDDDDD IT !! Food was amazing everything tasted great, staff was very attentive and kind. I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for tasty food and and an amazing atmosphere ;)

Service was fantastic. We couldn't wait to eat here as we love a great steak. I ordered a filet. My boyfriend ordered a sirloin. His had a lot of fat. He had a hard time chewing it. Mine lacked flavor. We were so disappointed! Best steak we've ever had has been from Jeff Ruby's and not sure anything will compare. Just wasnt good tasting steak, period. Our server was great. She brought us dessert and it was really good.

Ich war zuvor im Cut in Beverly Hills und war sehr angetan. Die Qualität ist hervorragend, der Service könnte etwas besser interagieren. Das ist immer etwas problematisch, wenn verschiedene Kellner verschiedene Aufgaben haben und der Master-Blick ein wenig fehlt. Ist aber eher ein landestypisches Problem als speziell hier. Auch wenn der eine mal von einer Bestellung beim anderen nichts wusste, lief es insgesamt rund und das Essen war wie geschrieben fantastisch.
