Cusbah specializes in serving delectable Indian cuisine in a warm and charming atmosphere. For a unique and flavorful starter, try the minced lamb and garam masala keema samosa or the battered and fried spinach palak chaat. Cusbah’s house entrées include the tandoori malai kebab, which consists of marinated chicken in a creamy sauce, the simmered chickpeas chana masala and the rich goat curry, all served to your preferred level of spice. Cusbah also has a tasty variety of naan breads, such as the roasted garlic naan and the cheese-stuffed paneer naan, both excellent meal accompaniments. For a sweet end to your exotic dining experience, enjoy the cardamom and cinnamon laden masala tea with the rice pudding kheer.

Cusbah also offers an array of unique cocktails, has delivery options and hosts live music events.

Even though we made a reservation, we had to wait for over an hour for our table. They sat a large group that used every table in the restaurant. Probably not a great idea when you have accepted other reservations?

The food was really tasty. Pretty straightforward Indian cuisine. Cocktails were not bad but nothing special. Wine was good though! Overall, it's a great value especially with most places on H street skyrocketing.

The service was prompt and all around good. If you aren't familiar with Indian food though, the wait staff may not be the most helpful in recommending a dish.

Ambience is good. Not too noisy. I'll definitely be back.

The food was absolutely amazing. I can eat their everyday. The Paneer Makhni was really good, bread basket was a lot. Baingan bharta was really good. Definitely coming back to try everything else.

The restaurant does not exist at the address given in opentable.com. No-one in the vicinity has even heard of it.

The food was good, but despite requesting that the bread basket be brought with the entrees, the server evidently forgot, and the bread basket was brought 15-20 minutes after the entrees. One of our party ordered a chicken dish and said that the chicken was very dry.

What a surprise to go into a neighborhood restaurant and have terrific Pakistani food and the best Mojito I have gotten in Washington...real intense lime juice, loads of mint and not too sweet. The curries were delicious and the nan fresh and tasty. Will go again even though slightly off the beaten path.

You can have your curry "authentic" or "medium." I had the Chicken Vindaloo, very authentic, and it was good and HOT, the way I wanted it. The garlic naan and samosas were excellent, too. Service was very good. We ate outdoors, able to observe goings-on around us, since it was a nice summer day. It was just what we wanted.

Four of us shared a variety of dishes. Lamb was good. Also eggplant. Generous appetizer platter. Waiter was very attentive and friendly. Small bar. Neighborhood place, informal. Has happy hour with good beers featured. Not fancy but friendly and good food

Though I throughly enjoyed the food, I found the portions wanting. The meal that I ordered, Chicken Tikka Makhni (?), that i ordered was delicious; however, it could use some work. There was more sauce than chicken served with my dish so after awhile all I was left with was a bowl filled with tomato sauce or more like a bowl of tomato soup. If Cusbah is apprehensive about using more chicken, use vegetables. That way the customer isn't left wondering how they ended up with so much sauce. Additionally, given the amount of rice that is automatically shared with two or more customers order certain foods, I would suggest the restaurant either bring out more bowls of rice or make the bowl much bigger.

Daughter was in from New York by train. Found Cusbah through Open Table because of proximity to Union Station. Daughter was impressed with hipster-like parent's selection. Most important, the food was outstanding. The setting is informal and very friendly. The service was excellent and came with a smile. Neighborhood is gentrifying and parking is difficult.

I had a wonderful dining experience. The food and drink were so delicious!!! The menu was easy to read, and there was something for everyone to enjoy on it. I most definitely look forward to returning to savor more of the items on the menu...soon. Two thumbs up!!

We arrived a little late for our 7:15 pm reservation because of traffic. As a result, we had to wait for about 10 minutes for an open table. However, the greeter and bartender were extremely friendly and comped us each a glass of wine while we waited. It wasn't necessary, but was very nice of them. Our server was professional and attentive. Our appetizers and main dishes came out quickly. The atmosphere was lively, but not too loud. To conclude, this is a cozy neighborhood restaurant that has outstanding service and delicious, flavorful food.

This place has amazing food for a great price. We only had two issues: 1. Not enough servers so our food/drink took really long to get out and 2. The door by the front door makes the entire restaurant freezing every time you open it. But based on food alone, this place would get 5 stars!

My fiancé and I have been going to Cusbah since we moved here three years ago. My fiancé is from India and we've tried every indian restaurant in DC (no joke), and this is by far our favorite. We've recommended it to all our friends and they love it too. Bottom line; incredible food, great service, and wonderful atmosphere!

I have taken friends/parents there who have been familiar and not familiar with Indian food and have always been able to find dishes that everyone enjoys. People always ask to go back there when they are in our area. The inside of the restaurant is small and cozy but not cramped, the ambiance is good and the patio is great when the weather is nice. They have delicious vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available which are all labeled on the menu.
