   I had eaten there a couple years ago. The interior was beautiful and the menu so different, with delicious dishes. Mexican dishes and interesting cocktails. It is now a Tex-Mex sports bar. Very disappointed 🙁

   We went on a Friday night the band was amazing, kept the energy blazing in the room. The drinks are great especially the mango margarita and the dance floor was lit and never empty.

   We celebrated a friend’s birthday. The service was good, nothing extraordinary and the food as well. It was only 2 tables at the restaurant and the kitchen was a little slow. I would give it another chance in the future.

   If interested I would think twice about choosing this place. Not like how it looks at all, place is so dead and quiet, which ruins everything. Service was ok , so was the food. Overpriced spent 100$ for 3 drinks 2 entrees. Which is just outrageous. Wish I could get my money back , wasn’t pleased at all.

   My chair broke while sitting in it and I fell on the floor. No one acknowledged the point I fell… We received the wrong food order but they did correct that… Also they upgraded our $11 drinks without our consent and changed us $19 each, it wasn’t worth it…….

   El lugar tiene buen ambiente en cuestión de música, Pero la comida está cara y con sabor horrible, pedimos unas cheese birrias que eran imposibles de comer por lo salado y mal sabor del consomé, las margaritas el menú tiene precio de 12 dólares y te cobran 20 dólares por que en el sistema les cobra diferente! Aparte la propina que ya va incluida no importa si es mesa de 4 personas o menos, pagamos alrededor de 40 dólares por propina en mesa de 4 y 40 dólares por dos margaritas. No lo recomiendo.

   Food- I liked the parrilllada for 2 but my husband said the meat was too dry for his taste. Margaritas- good. They will sneak up on you. Service- meh. Waiter was always in a hurry and didn’t let us complete our order. We felt rushed. Ambience- good. They had a band setting up and started playing around 9p. They were good. Got the crowd dancing (Saturday night). Owner/manager seemed engaged with his customers. Might need to do some retraining with his staff.

   We really like the restaurant, but there were only our table and one other and we had to ask that the music be turned to a level to where we could hear us talking to one another.

   Love that El Merkado is back at its original location! Food and drinks are even better!
