The Curious Café opened in November 2014 and is located in the heart of Kelowna's cultural district. Since then, The Curious has been serving both quality interpretations of classic dishes and daring new ventures into the uncharted territories of food.
The Curious interior, designed by proprietor Luigi Coccaro and designer Rhonda Lebedoff, reflects the hip sensibilities urban area's while also paying tribute to Kelowna's storied past. Adding to the mystique of the setting is the location's history, as it used to be a run-down tobacco shop, now transformed into a warm hang out.
The multi-room restaurant offers the choice to eat comfortably on the café side where one may watch the art of cooking as it occurs in the open-kitchen room or sit on the community table side where 24 beers flow from our rotating taps.

    We were quite dissappointed with our experience. Our coffee's were warm, not hot, although our waitress was kind and got them replaced. There were 4 of us and only one person enjoyed their dish. The food on all orders was luke-warm. We used to really enjoy the Curious, hadn't gone for quite a while and this time were not impressed with their breakfast dishes. At this time I would not recommend this place for breakfast.

    Spent $84 on a dry burger and a barely topped pizza. Quality has gone down in many restaurants, while prices and expected tip out increases. It’s frustrating. It’s insane 2 people go out to eat a basic meal for that price. The server was friendly but she interrupted us too many times it seemed… I went even comment on that but it was excessive. lol. For a “pizza” place they were quite disappointing.

    Thanks for your feedback — I'm sorry to hear your burger was dry and that the pizza didn’t meet expectations. That’s not the experience we want for our guests. We source our beef from a local butcher who works with nearby farmers, and while we’re proud to support local, we don’t control the rising costs of quality ingredients. I also appreciate your note about the service — our team aims to be attentive, but it sounds like we overdid it. We’ll share this with the staff to help us improve.     Absolutely loved the wood-fired pizza at Curious Café! Crispy crust, fresh toppings, and bursting with flavor — definitely a must-try in Kelowna!

    I love Curious Cafe! The food is amazing and the service is great. I brought a group of friends and we ordered the pizza party...it was the perfect amount of food, super tasty, and affordable for everyone. If you're looking for a fun spot for your next night out, I can’t recommend Curious enough!

    Great food, great vibe. Metal chairs and wooden benches are comfortable for a little while so don't plan to linger to long once your meal is over. Otherwise a very relaxing e perience.

    We were seated right away, and eventually someone brought us waters and menus. Our waiter finally took our drink order and we ordered an appy as well. When the appy cake, he dropped off with no utensils or napkins, and I had to catch his eye to ask him for them. Our mains came quickly, but it wasn’t that great. No one asked us how our food was or if we needed anything. We waited and waited. We finally flagged down a waitress and told her we’d been abandoned by our waiter and could we order dessert right away and pay our bills. We were there just before 5pm. Don’t think we will go back.

    Overall a great restaurant. Grateful food, service and atmosphere. Reasonably priced. My husband had the chicken parmigiana…said one of the best he’s had. I love the Korean flavours! Highly recommend.
