Food was tasteless, service was poor.
Wish there were more dietary friendly options, such as non-diary/low carb entree options on the menu, however the day's special of Brisket Poutine was delicious.
Our very first visit and we were swept off our feet by the great food & drinks and attentive service. Thank you so very much! From New Mexico. ❤️
Waited at the door for several minutes before even being acknowledged, while we watched several worker behind and around the bar area not really assisting anyone. Then after being seated, took almost another 10 minutes before even being acknowledged. During which time we were being baked by the overhead heater. Once our server engaged with us, she did a good job, and the food was good. Seems like the restaurant was a little understaffed and/or some lackadaisical employee behavior. At these prices, should have better service.
It was ghastly. Our waiter was thoroughly unprofessional. The food was overpriced and not prepared well.
Stood at the host desk for 5+ minutes before someone greeted us. We were shown to a table on the patio. It took the server about 10 minutes to bring us water, and another 10 to come back for our drink order. Food came out unevenly. My meal came out almost 20 minutes before my husband's (apparently it was not correctly communicated to the kitchen). The server said the manager would comp the drinks, which they did. The food wasn't horrible, but for the price, I expected it to be better. I had the BBQ bacon wrapped shrimp, and the shrimp were so overcooked they were like eating pencil erasers. The truffled fries were fairly good, but the fries were cut so large that they were mealy and undercooked in the center, which was not appetizing. My husband got the fish & chips, and he liked it, but the portions for 423 were tiny. Also, my cocktail (the mermaid) was overpriced and had about 1 cup of ice in it. We only went here because we were seeing a show at the Chapel. There was nothing special enough for me to return.
Good for happy hour and nice spot for brunch, with the only caveats being that the food was kind of pricey for what it was (the burger doesn't even come with fries?!) and the service was very meh. We would've probably ordered more if our server actually came to check on us more.
The food was worth the wait, but the noise level was annoying and the service was not attentive and very slow.
Excellent food of the fancy steak and shake variety. Good happy hour specials. Loud at night because of The Chapel nextdoor. Service was just okay, and not a great selection of non-alchie beverages. I'd go again.
Awesome on Fat Tuesday thank you🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
An excellent Fat Tuesday at Curio! My family and I had a great night dining at curio for Fat Tuesday. Made it there for happy hour oysters and other treats and also for the second line band that played during our meal. Good food, good drinks and a really fun celebration.
Yum! We arrived early so our service was done before the place was crowded.
Our server was working a few different rooms so there were delays in being able to catch her eye and asked for additional things, but that’s was small.
She, the hostess and the other staff were friendly and professional.
The food was tasty, not a bad dish between the 5 of us. The drinks, like most bars, consist of 95% ice (though they use some trendy “pebble ice” in one of their drinks.) the concoctions were varied and fun, the rest of the alcohol was unique and offered one a chance to soak up some exciting flavors.
The connection to The Chapel concert venue is a big bonus as the staff came through and offered early check-in tableside.
It's a convenient spot if you are catching an event next door at the Chapel. The deviled eggs are surprisingly a level up from the normal fare. Service was a little sluggish at times, but the staff was friendly and helpful.
Pricey, and my steak was undercooked and tough, arrived somewhat cold, and gave me an upset stomach. The truffle fries were good, as were the drinks. Overpriced for what is pretty much bar food. Server Ellesbeth was fantastic. Great location next to The Chapel, where we saw a Tom Petty cover band, Petty Theft. Excellent concert.
Food here is fantastic!!
Amazing French toast and smoked burrata! Server was sort of MIA but all in all it was nice. Heat lamps in the patio were nice as it was a chilly day!
Great for reserving brunch with groups. Just a couple days before I was able to snag a reservation for a group of 5 at 11am Saturday brunch. They have tasty standard brunch foods like french toast, benedicts and breakfast sandwiches. Also, a very large cocktail list.
My boyfriend and I enjoyed the food especially, the fried burrata cheese. It was really good. They have a good selection of food and cocktails on the menu. I recommend this place for a date or a night out with a group of friends. There is a heated outdoor patio eating area.
Service almost felt intentionally poor. Good drinks. Food very fried.
Restaurant's week menu was not amazing , although I've had brunch there in the past and really liked it.
Great food and excellent service.
Dinner before a show at the Chapel worked out great, great service, terrible cocktails w little or no alcohol...ordered an extra shot which cost almost as much as the cocktail.
Hard to find something that wasn’t deep fried.
Coconut cream pie was a big pile of mush.
Our server was great!
It took 30 minutes to pay the check and this made us late for the show in the chapel.
Very nice vibe, friendly people and good food! Enjoyed it.
I thought the food was quite interesting and good but the service (at the north bar)was not very friendly.
The brunch at Curio is really great. They're not just doing the same old things that everyone else is. We really like the Black Magic Bloody, the Buttermilk Biscuit Benedict, and the Hush Puppies.
The cuisine was excellent
Really enjoyed this place! We had show tickets at The Chapel and it was SO convenient. Great server, and nice ambiance. Will return, for sure.
Meh. Better options abound. The drinks were excellent – Jackalope and Chupacabra. The beer can chicken’s skin was like leather and totally inedible, but the meat fine. The sides were forgettable. The truffle parmesan steak fries were strong, but if that is your thing, rock on. Deviled eggs are a winner. The special fried mushroom sandwich was almost good, just too heavy on the pimento cheese. The service pleasant, but slow. Given the quality of food in the neighborhood, it is best to just skip Curio for food. The bar is lively and fun so, that is your way better bet.
Went here for convenience due to location next door to The Chapel concert venue. We were pleasantly surprised by the novelty and quality of this “pub fare”. Playful ingredients across cocktail, appetizer and sammies. Our waitress was very attentive and gracious - offered great suggestions based on our likes.
May never go out to the city just to go here, but an absolute no brainer as dinner spot before a show at The Chapel or Elbo Room.
Fun for family dining
Came with a large party . If I would do this again I’d make sure we were provided that could handle a party of 12 plus. Delays in drinks were unnecessary , service person was experienced with large parties and he didn’t get much help from the rest of the team
Rather disappointed with the service we received. We were a large group, and it seems from the moment we sat down we were getting the "You have to pay us 20% gratuity regardless, so we're not going to pay attention to you or fulfill any of your requests in a timely manner" service. No place is so busy that coffee should take nearly 20 minutes to arrive. And, if you're going make us order down one by one down each side of the table, then I expect that when our food arrives it actually arrives in the same order you mandated. Very poor and sloppy service.
We sat inside, but it was freezing!
Probably warmer in the patio.
The table next to us that came in after us was served way before us. Even our drinks took forever.
Food was tasty though!
Would be willing to give it one more chance.
The ambiance is beautiful. The patio is gorgeous. The service was slow, maybe they just don't want to rush people. The food did not live up to the hype or the time it took to get it. My eggs Benedict did not run. It was almost totally cooked which was a bummer because the bread it was served on was dry. For the price, hype, and portion I was disappointed. Though I would give it a try again because it was so pretty and there were so many options on the menu.
Excellent food, fantastic cocktails, and friendly, if slightly disorganized, staff. Great for a pre-concert bite!
The food was tasty but the service was very slow and inattentive. Also, very few options for vegans or gluten free diners. I really liked the Vestry so hope Curio improves!
first time to curio. had an interesting brunch menu. everyone thought their dish was quite good. I'd like to see a few more breakfast/brunch choices. service folks were friendly, gracious and helpful.
Had a quick meal before heading to the chapel for a show. Food and service was amazing. If you were going to a show at the chapel and grab a bite to eat at curio , you can get into the show 10 mins before the general public!!
