Amazing French toast and smoked burrata! Server was sort of MIA but all in all it was nice. Heat lamps in the patio were nice as it was a chilly day!
Great for reserving brunch with groups. Just a couple days before I was able to snag a reservation for a group of 5 at 11am Saturday brunch. They have tasty standard brunch foods like french toast, benedicts and breakfast sandwiches. Also, a very large cocktail list.
My boyfriend and I enjoyed the food especially, the fried burrata cheese. It was really good. They have a good selection of food and cocktails on the menu. I recommend this place for a date or a night out with a group of friends. There is a heated outdoor patio eating area.
Service almost felt intentionally poor. Good drinks. Food very fried.
Restaurant's week menu was not amazing , although I've had brunch there in the past and really liked it.
Great food and excellent service.
Dinner before a show at the Chapel worked out great, great service, terrible cocktails w little or no alcohol...ordered an extra shot which cost almost as much as the cocktail.
Hard to find something that wasn’t deep fried.
Coconut cream pie was a big pile of mush.
Our server was great!
It took 30 minutes to pay the check and this made us late for the show in the chapel.
Very nice vibe, friendly people and good food! Enjoyed it.
I thought the food was quite interesting and good but the service (at the north bar)was not very friendly.
The brunch at Curio is really great. They're not just doing the same old things that everyone else is. We really like the Black Magic Bloody, the Buttermilk Biscuit Benedict, and the Hush Puppies.
The cuisine was excellent
Really enjoyed this place! We had show tickets at The Chapel and it was SO convenient. Great server, and nice ambiance. Will return, for sure.
Meh. Better options abound. The drinks were excellent – Jackalope and Chupacabra. The beer can chicken’s skin was like leather and totally inedible, but the meat fine. The sides were forgettable. The truffle parmesan steak fries were strong, but if that is your thing, rock on. Deviled eggs are a winner. The special fried mushroom sandwich was almost good, just too heavy on the pimento cheese. The service pleasant, but slow. Given the quality of food in the neighborhood, it is best to just skip Curio for food. The bar is lively and fun so, that is your way better bet.
Went here for convenience due to location next door to The Chapel concert venue. We were pleasantly surprised by the novelty and quality of this “pub fare”. Playful ingredients across cocktail, appetizer and sammies. Our waitress was very attentive and gracious - offered great suggestions based on our likes.
May never go out to the city just to go here, but an absolute no brainer as dinner spot before a show at The Chapel or Elbo Room.
Fun for family dining
Came with a large party . If I would do this again I’d make sure we were provided that could handle a party of 12 plus. Delays in drinks were unnecessary , service person was experienced with large parties and he didn’t get much help from the rest of the team
Rather disappointed with the service we received. We were a large group, and it seems from the moment we sat down we were getting the "You have to pay us 20% gratuity regardless, so we're not going to pay attention to you or fulfill any of your requests in a timely manner" service. No place is so busy that coffee should take nearly 20 minutes to arrive. And, if you're going make us order down one by one down each side of the table, then I expect that when our food arrives it actually arrives in the same order you mandated. Very poor and sloppy service.
We sat inside, but it was freezing!
Probably warmer in the patio.
The table next to us that came in after us was served way before us. Even our drinks took forever.
Food was tasty though!
Would be willing to give it one more chance.
The ambiance is beautiful. The patio is gorgeous. The service was slow, maybe they just don't want to rush people. The food did not live up to the hype or the time it took to get it. My eggs Benedict did not run. It was almost totally cooked which was a bummer because the bread it was served on was dry. For the price, hype, and portion I was disappointed. Though I would give it a try again because it was so pretty and there were so many options on the menu.
Excellent food, fantastic cocktails, and friendly, if slightly disorganized, staff. Great for a pre-concert bite!
The food was tasty but the service was very slow and inattentive. Also, very few options for vegans or gluten free diners. I really liked the Vestry so hope Curio improves!
first time to curio. had an interesting brunch menu. everyone thought their dish was quite good. I'd like to see a few more breakfast/brunch choices. service folks were friendly, gracious and helpful.
Had a quick meal before heading to the chapel for a show. Food and service was amazing. If you were going to a show at the chapel and grab a bite to eat at curio , you can get into the show 10 mins before the general public!!
Visited prior to a seeing a band ( Band-Maid) at the venue next door ( The Chapel ). Food was great as was the service. Reasonable price and great location. Highly recommended.
The fried burrata was very delicious, the staff was nice.
Need more vegan/vegetarian options. Would like hush puppies without shrimp.
Hubby and I enjoyed appetizers, entrees and drinks before taking in a Big Data concert nextdoor at the Chapel. Agreed that we both loved everything! Will come back....
The restaurant was closing at 10pm but from the minute we sat down at 9pm, we were rushed to make an order. Even though she mentioned kitchen closes at 9:30 - another detail that they forgot to mention to us. The waitress kept rushing us, and asking us to order everything and then they also closed the bar on us at 9:30. why is the bar closed at 9:30 when place shows open till 10pm?
We were visiting from New York, and our friends were coming all the way from san jose to meet us. We made them trek to this place and we trekked as well. Because I was excited to try this new place as recommended by sf eater.
Utter waste of time and money and even though food was good, service was horrible. The waitress urged us to pay the bill at 9:40 as she had to leave. So we had to shove the food into our mouths chug our drink be out of the place asap.
Super no good!
Do yourself a favor and if you really want to go here, just dont go after 9pm.
Deviled eggs were awesome and the oysters were clean, fresh and salty, really outstanding. The roasted cauliflower appetizer was a bit of a miss, I want some good char on it but mine lacked any char. The cauliflower would have been better cut up in smaller pieces then roasted and served with the pimento cheese either on the side it was a little overwhelming. The cheese was reallygood but would have been better on the side. I will be back, the people next to us had roasted chicken of some sort that looked great and the brunch/breakfast food looks amazing.
Great spot for happy hour oysters, delicious deviled eggs, and so many things you
want to order from the menu it's hard to choose!
Good recommendations by the waiter to complete a yummy meal.
Fun ambiance and decor.
Only minus as no chocolate on the dessert menu!
There are some really nice things about Curio. Loved that they checked us in to Chapel SF while dining. The menu is interesting. The fries were good.
Negatives are that the portions were small for the money. The burger was mushy and lacked flavor. The bun was soft and absorbed the moisture. It is difficult to ruin a burger but they managed to. The steak sandwich was good. I liked the blue cheese and the steak combo. There was very little meat in it and again the bun was soft and absorbed too much moisture. Maybe they should change where they get their bread.
The service was efficient. The ambience was very nice. The tables were too close together.
Delicious brunch! Went with a big group and they were very accommodating
The menu was confusing. It either needs to go full-on tapas or get more entrees. It was hard to build a meal
Food and drinks were delicious! We took friends who were visiting from out of town, they were very impressed.
We had no expectations going in, but we’re so glad we tried Curio! Great menu with the right balance on familiar & creative. Wonderful, friendly service. Heaters make the large patio seating really enjoyable for dinner. Cocktails and dessert are on point. Don’t miss the deviled eggs and the hush puppies! Can’t wait to go back.
Great outdoor patio option with heat lamps for those cold SF nights!
A fantastic menagerie of house cocktails! The food and service were superb as well! Really enjoyed ourselves and can;t wait to come back!
Food was overpriced and tried a little too hard in terms of southern food. Service was terrible, waitress was MIA for most of the meal and wasn't friendly or even audible when she was at the table. Had high hopes as a southern transplant, won't be coming back.
