Cured Tap & Table
From the list of exceptional craft beers, to the creative cocktails, to the satisfying menu, CURED is all about crafting a laid back experience while still elevating the pairing of comfort food and thirst quenching drinks. Our goal is for every guest who visits us to feel as relaxed as if they were at their grandmother’s house (assuming their grandmother makes amazing craft cocktails and delicious food).
So if you're looking for a great place to meet up with friends, heading to a concert at Merriweather Post Pavilion right next door, or looking for something uniquely different but still wonderfully familiar, we'll make sure to save you a seat.
The restaurant is beautiful - a modern combination of wood and warm tones. The food was excellent - creative, well prepared and well presented. The food was some of the best we have had in the area. I love hamburgers and theirs is one of the best I have had. My colleague got the Cobb salad and it looked and tasted amazing according to him. Given the atmosphere, quality of the food and taste of the food, it is well priced. Lunch for two was under $40!
We went for brunch so the menu was very limited.
since my son had been there already he had asked for something on the regular menu, they were great about it, and fixed the cheesesteak egg rolls for us. Very nice staff.
They are trying to be a bit more upscale nouveau american in the Columbia MD area but fell short. People seem to love this place but we will probably not go back. Very bright and not particular special ambiance/seating area. Services wasn't great with our waiter being 20 min late to table, the appetizers and entres coming out to close to each other and they just put them on our small two person table without any apologies etc. The selection of wine, cheese and "cured" meats was basic and the menu pretty mediocre. The upshot were the venison steak (cooked nicely) and the crab cakes.
Our expectations were high, but we were very disappointed, mostly because of the quality of the food. Service was good, we liked the layout of the place, but out of the six main courses our group ordered, only two met our expectations. The others were substandard, for any type of place. The highly touted french fries came out cold and seemed like they were originally frozen fries, cooked in the oven and sprinkled with a little seasoning. Our waiter made sure we got a better batch (we opted for the sweet potato fries which were served hot and tasted better). The burger was just poor, essentially lost in the bun. Two other dishes were "ordinary". In any case, we'll give it another try, but for a high end place in Columbia, MD, it should have been better. Maybe we caught them on an off day.
Excellent food and service! Tables a bit close together
We went to Cured for a belated Valentine's dinner. While the food was very good and significantly better than average, it was the service that really stood out. Our server, Jana, was fantastic. She was prompt when we need drinks, ordering, and the check, but did it in a way that wasn't "hovering" as many servers do. She also provided great food and wine recommendations. We will return to Cured again and bring friends!
Sat at the bar and the bar tender was rude . Food was average
Great new place! Like having DC come to us instead of us having to go to DC to have a great restaurant experience.
Exceptional service. Try the Salmon with sweet potatoes and maple flavored greens and you'll be surprised. Will def return once more!
We went for Valentine’s Day and it was wonderful. It was our first time there and the food was amazing! Definitely recommend the Philly Steak Eggrolls! 😋 The tables were a little too close for comfort, but if you focus on your date it’s no problem. A good place for date night.
A nice first visit. Food (charcuterie, chicken salad sandwich, beet salad with chicken and bacon) was terrific. However, the service was friendly but very slow.
Great Service, very accommodating and knowledgeable
From the initial greeting, to the exceptional service by the staff. Just what a quick lunch us supposed to be. Good food selection. Amazing fresh interior.
I liked the oysters; however, the entre that I had left a lot to be desired. The combination of vinegary collard greens, sweet potato tots, and salmon (which looked like it was poached) didn't seem to go together.
My first time here. I will be back.
Food and service were fantastic. Nice atmosphere. My only suggestions is dim the lights in the bar area. Too bright. Ruins the cool bar like atmosphere.
We love sitting at the high top tables on the bar side. It’s casual and lively. Venison, fresh mushroom soup, sautéed chicken livers and pork belly...all perfectly cooked.
Our waiter was a little combative so I that is the only reason I would not give it a 5 Star Evening, but all and all I recommend Cured.
My coworkers and I had a meeting and lunch at Cured. Everyone enjoyed their meals and experience. The ambiance was lovely and the food was delicious. We are already planning a repeat.
Brunch was good
I’ve been here several times and the service and food have been inconsistent. Wasn’t impressed this last visit
It was my first time going, and I will be going back. I couldn’t give it 5 stars for two reasons. One, the place was packed, which is a good thing for business, but horrible for the wait time on drinks and food. Two, although I LOVED my food, no one at my table liked the waffles that came with the airline chicken an waffles (I had the beef ribs, and they were excellent!).
Great place! I would definitely choose brunch over dinner. Bread pudding is to die for!
Best food and best service around, would definately go back
Our sandwiches were good. French fries tasted like they were cooked in "old" oil, almost fishy. Caesar salad was less than good, especially at the price. We requested condiments and were half way through the meal when we requested them again. We felt like we were ignored. Way too expensive for what we got. We will not be returning.
Great food. Great atmosphere. Great service.
Great birthday brunch
We took out of town family for brunch. It was fantastic! We were able to enjoy more dishes than we had anticipated thanks to the small plates/sharing style of the menu. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The Short Rib Hash, Avocado Toast, Chicken & Waffles, and Breakfast Pizza were among our favorites. Definitely save room for the bread of the day (which was fresh strawberry bread topped with house-made strawberry cream cheese). Only regret is forgetting to order bottomless mimosas. Guess we'll have to come back again soon.
As always, we had a fantastic date night! We brought our mystery envelope back and won a free appetizer, so that was a nice surprise. This was our third time visiting Cured, and every time my fiancée and I have tried different items on the menu...we haven’t been disappointed yet! Can’t wait to come back!
Cured is a great new restaurant in Columbia, MD. Food and service is wonderful!
Cured had hit its stride! The food has always been delicious, and the service now matches it. Vince is a super host. Especially enjoyed the chicken and waffle, the charcuterie, the dulce de leche empanada and the cocktails. Perfect for a birthday dinner!
They were out of many things on the Restaurant Week menu. Main menu items seemed overpriced. Waiter was friendly and gave us a tour at the end.
High top tables uncomfortable. Kitchen slammed so service very slow.
Staff is pleasant.
We've dined at Cured for several special occasions: birthdays and our 35th anniversary. We always feel special and the food is outstanding! They have some unique and delicious starters... my favorite being the PEI Mussels, but the Pulled Pork and Cheese TaterTots are yummy.
We really wanted to like this place. Sean our waiter was very nice and attentive and extraordinarily accommodating. One of the bus boys was also particularly helpful. However the kitchen failed to send out several dishes in a timely way and even missed one completely. Beer selection was outstanding. Food was just ok. Most importantly we overheard several inappropriate and negative comments from management staff about the item we asked to have taken off our order that was never received. This was a $6 adjustment on a $200 bill. We also heard negative comments about the mess left by our toddler under his seat despite the fact that we apologized profusely and offered to clean it up ourselves. The kind busboy said he would be happy to take care of it. Disappointing experience from management staff of an owner whose other restaurant we love.
Brunch food was excellent! Lots of choices and excellent price. Can’t wait to go back!
Was offered a free toast for our anniversary! Food was delicious and quick.
I thought service was somewhat slow. It was a busy night, so I am not sure if the kitchen was backed up
My water glass was never refilled. The meal I had, which was Salmon was good, not great. There was very few choices for any gluten free dessert other than ice cream , creme brulee or panna cotta. They were out of vanilla ice cream. I will come back to try their burgers which looked amazing. But there is no gluten free bun, so will have to get it without the bread.
The food was very good and the atmosphere was terrific. We had some confusion around seat and were offered a high table with backless stools. We chose to sit at the bar which was quite nice. I would certainly recommend Cured to friends.
