It was spot on all the way . Food, service, ambiance. We just loved it and can’t wait to go back. So many interesting things on the menu we want to try. It’s obvious a lot of thought, care and talent goes into the planning and preparation of the food and when the Chef comes out and brings it to your table, which in itself is amazing, he is visibly proud and excited to present it to you. The waiter was professional, recognized us as fellow restaurant owners and did an outstanding job in every aspect. It’s refreshing to see a server enjoy their job as much as he did!
The service was great. I was impressed that the server knew everything about all the items on the menu. The ambience was nice although the noise level was a bit high. We had a wonderful cheese board as an appetizer. I had wagu ragout on handmade pasta. My date had a grass fed New York strip which she thoroughly enjoyed. We will be back.
Great food at a more than fair price. The fusion of flavor profiles was unexpected in this small town
Fantastic food, service, and music! We will be back soon
Dinner at Culture ETX 09/14/19 simply blew us away!
We started with oysters on the half shell. So fresh!
Executive Sous Chef David Blackwell told us that they had some beautiful chops saved back if we were interested, so... ya. We were interested.
~ Steamed Mussels: pei mussels in ETX brewing co beer, n'duja, toasted artisan bread
~ Heritage Pork: local heritage pork steak, charred onions, harissa
The broth alone in the mussels was enough to make us swoon. I usually don't fill up on bread, but I couldn't help going back again and again with some bread to soak up that broth.
And then there's the pork chop... cooked to perfection. We oohed and aahed and turned the plate so we could both have a bite of each section. I don't mean to be braggadocious, but our pork is incredible.
And Chef Lance McWhorter and his team make it incredibleR!
We finished with dessert, a stuffed French toast. We were not prepared to moan about it, but we did just that.
Breakfast for Dessert: ricotta stuffed french toast, sorghum syrup
The outer texture was crisp, and the inside was luscious. The sorghum syrup with a dollop of butter and powdered sugar made this an exquisite dish.
As a featured farm and friend, we are extremely proud of what Chef Lance is doing in Tyler. The elevated yet unpretentious food and fun, relaxed atmosphere speak volumes, allowing his bold, seasoned and unapologetic style shine through. Thanks for everything, Chef!

Great new place. Hope it stays and thrives. Will be back!
Our dinner was outstanding! We will be back.
Nestled in Tyler Texas downtown Culture ETX provides a unique dining experience for the area. Chefs from around Texas have converged here under the fever dream of Lance and Bailey McWhorter to bring locally harvested ingredients to a locally owned table. Relaxed atmosphere where you can enjoy the almost Bacchanalian experience. Kudos to these hard working chefs and their staff.
Awesome food and great atmosphere! Couldn’t ask for a better place for a date or social gathering.
Two couples catching up with each other. Great quality, atmosphere... Reasonable price. One of Tyler's few noon franchise restaurants and the top of the list!!
As usual everything was SPECTACULAR! Lance and crew spiced up the chicharrones a bit for us and it was out of this world good (highly recommend you try it). Service was wonderful Casey is always a pleasure. Will definitely be back soon.
Excellent food, service. Camradarie in the kitchen felt throughout the place. It’s family here y’all. Wonderful experience.
They literally put love in every single dish!! Serious deliciousness!!
The food was super delicious. We had mussels cooked in beer and they were sublime. The menu was pretty large and I love that they have daily specials too! Our waitress was great and we will definitely be back!
Great food! The atmosphere is awesome and music is on point!
Culture ETX is taking Tyler, Texas dining to a whole new level!
The food was amazing! Pork skins still popping while they got to the table, super fresh. The brick street board was delicious, the fun facts about all the meats and cheeses was really cool.
Great experience! Chef and staff were terrific and food was wonderful ! So glad to have this in Tyler!
We enjoyed our dinner very much. I love the creative menu that the chef is offering. The octopus with black eyed peas small plate was a treat as was the Caesar salad. And the wagyu steak was outstanding. We will definitely dine here again. But not when we are looking for a nice quiet evening.
Incredible food, flavors, and presentation in a casual open-kitchen environment. GM Haley helped me pull off a great birthday surprise and Chef was delightful to talk with as the kitchen experience and dining experience are so close. We loved it and will be back! Everything tasted brilliant and it felt like we stepped out of Tyler and into NYC!
It was a bit disappointing- we thought we would have a nice quiet dinner, but very loud 90’s grunge music was playing. We could not have comfortable conversation. After asking if the music could be turned down and being told no, we decided to go somewhere else. It was fine. If that’s the crowd they want to cater to it’s really ok. We just won’t be going back. The cheese board was really good. I hope they make a go of it. They were working really hard!
The food and service were excellent. However, the name is a bit of a misnomer - I was expecting a nice, relaxing atmosphere, however they were blasting 90s alternative and eventually expletive-laden rap. We asked a staff member about it and were informed it was quite intentional. It’s fine if a restaurant wants to do this to appeal to a certain crowd, but it’s absolutely not my thing.
