Our 4th visit here, we love it! The main server Kyle is great and remembers us when we visit each time, making it a more personal experience each time. Small and intimate dining area and we love the feel. We got to sit facing the chef and loved watching the kitchen team in action. Chef is very friendly and checks in to see how you are enjoying the dishes. They make great recommendations and the food is perfect every time! Flavorful menu combinations and quality ingredients that are hard to come by in East Texas. Also worth mentioning, the playlist is always enjoyable and has me swaying in my seat. Great date spot!

Hands down this is the best food and service in Tyler right now. Would have gone back Sunday but they are closed Sunday and Monday. That is ok we have a reservation for Tuesday!

I had the pleasure of eating here a few weeks ago while in town for business and I decided I had to bring my wife and kids at some point so I did. We also purposely watch Lance's Chopped episode before coming so the kids thought that was pretty cool. My whole family loved every dish and maybe they are exaggerating but they each said that was the best meal they ever had!

The food was excellent! Started off with the bone marrow, which is amazing. A lot of the entree options looked enticing, but I went with the pork chop as usual, and it did not disappoint. My wife had the lobster which was great also.

The food was excellent. We had the cheese Flatbread for starters and the sign of a good restaurant is simple ingredients done well so kuddos for that! The service was better than last time but could still use some polish. It's a bit loud but it's a downtown restaurant so that's expected. I would like to see the decor upgraded a bit. The visual surroundings could be better- to match the quality of food but that's just personal taste. We will definitely be back.

Always enjoy Chef Lance’s deviation from the norm, allowing patrons to enjoy items you will not find on any other menu in Tyler. The blackened sea bass and rock lobster dishes were fantastic.

We started with a cocktail in the speakeasy and, as usual, they were “over the top”! The mixologists are so talented and very personable. I love the speakeasy! We then went in to the restaurant and shared several small plates; the fig burrata, the smoked pork belly and the tuna poke. All three were perfectly presented and tasted very good. We will be back very soon.

It was Halloween night, so not crowded at all; hence the low noise level. I think the concept is great, the food is outstanding and the wait staff is very attentive to you. Of course, like everything, prices are a bit high but you also get what you pay for. I definitely want to go back and experience it with a little more crowd. Who knows, I may find my way into the closet for a trip into the Plaid Rabbit next time.

The staff was very conscientious. Turned down music level upon request so we could better chat. Eclectic menu. The burrata with soppressata and lavash bread with fig was a great dish to share as a starter. Both the salmon on butternut purée and short rib pappardelle pasta were outstanding. The salmon was slightly over… but the purée and olive oil drizzle added plenty of moisture. I wish there had been more of the purée. It was so silky and delicious. We sat right in front of the open kitchen and it could get a little loud… but watching the staff work was very entertaining and they generated a energetic, fun vibe. We’ll be back for sure!

Love this place! This has become our favorite restaurant in East Texas. Brought my parents here for dinner, they were visiting from Colorado, and they really enjoyed it. Food is amazing and the overall ambiance is so unique.

What a disappointment. We had seen Culture ETX on the TV show and made a point to go when we were in Tyler. We don't understand the hype. The setting is a diner but food is priced like fine dining. Food was not good. Well, actually, the fries were good. No cocktails available. I had the pork chop touted on the "bucket list." It had so much black pepper on it I could barely eat it. My partner's steak was also encrusted in black pepper and almost inedible. We love black peppercorn but this was overdone. No manager on duty. Odd maitre d'. Server was good.

We absolutely loved everything about our dinner (except that you were out of pork belly 😜)! We can’t wait to come back. This was our very first time there; we loved everything except the “ambience”! The food was over the top; the service was very good but we just didn’t feel like we were in the right place. Not sure how to describe it. I wish the atmosphere was a little warmer. Maybe a little less “lunch cafe feeling”! But, we will be back for the food and the speakeasy.

Always an exceptional culinary experience at Culture! We love it and will return again and again. Lance and his team go to extraordinary lengths to make every dish perfect. We always enjoy bringing friends and family here. Culture is a unique establishment for Tyler and definitely not one you want to pass up. There is nothing else like it in east Texas. Went above and beyond. Made a reservation and mentioned the Duck Coq Au Vin in the comment section, but was bummed to see that it wasn't on the current menu when I arrived. Ordered the pork chop initially, which is also amazing, but after a minute or so I thought I would walk up and ask them about the duck, just in case. The Sous Chef smiled and said, "We have only one order, for you, if your name is Joel." Man, talk about customer service! Their Caesar salads are the best I have ever had. Authentic dressing with a hint of anchovies.

The team at Culture ETX made our anniversary experience one for the ages. Promptly sat at our reservation time, the staff was friendly, knowledgeable and very welcoming. The atmosphere is elevated without being stuffy, and the food was refined without being pretentious. From the Daily Bread to our appetizers (highly recommend the Polvo A Lagareiro) to our entrees (the first night, we went with the pork chop and ribeye; the second evening we had the flatbread and the beef bolognese), every single bite of food showed a care and attention that I've yet to seen matched even in other fine dining restaurants. The Plaid Rabbit was its own experience, and I highly recommend any one visiting for their first time to schedule a block in their evening for a visit to the Plaid Rabbit. The staff at both the restaurant and the bar were cordial, competent and cheerful, and it really put the shine on the evening. The level of teamwork and esprit de corps in Chef Lance's team are a model that should be emulated by other establishments. I couldn't recommend this restaurant enough. Even with all the new money troglodytes in the customer base, viciously gnawing at their own spleens, the ambience, food and service of CultureETX make it a firm landmark in East Texas. It was actually decent people watching for all these 50+ year olds who peaked in high school harder than Al Bundy to run around dressed like they were twenty years younger. Really drove home how great the place was that clientele like that couldn't screw it up. PS, Lance, you still owe me that pants off dance off.

We had a party of six. Family from Dallas used to high end dining. Chef Lance was on it…up to the challenge. Our server was on it too! Food was outstanding. We had the Rib Eye, Pork Chop (2), Duck, Cornbread, Peppers, Bolognese Pasta, Collard Greens, Mac & Cheese and all SIX desserts. We just shared everything. Outstanding meal. Outstanding experience. We went to the speakeasy afterward. We had plans to go out to other places during the night, but the food, service and drinks were just outstanding. We never went anywhere else. It’s not the fanciest place. That is part of the charm. The food, however, is best in town. Our visitors were WOWED!

The food was really tasty. Most portions were small, so you won’t necessarily have leftovers for the price, but I like that they put effort into sourcing high quality ingredients. It makes me feel better about paying the prices. We had some hiccups with service, we were waited on my 3 different people and sometimes things didn’t show up or took a while, but it was minor things. Overall it was a lovely experience and we enjoyed everything we tried.

I’ve been coming to Tyler several times for the last 5 years and I was keeping this place for a nice evening with family since I knew of its existence a year ago, however; it didn’t turned out all that well for my parents’ in law anniversary. Service wasn’t up to point. Server didn’t know the menu, so we were undecided of what we will be having for dinner that night. Don’t have wine if your servers are not qualify to serve it. Sure details are important for a quality service. When it comes to the food, I was expecting more for what they marketed it. Sure I will come by for a second chance.

We sat outside in the evening and enjoyed a sidewalk table view of downtown Tyler. The service was good, our server was busy and took good care of us. The noise level inside was energetic and a little loud for us as a couple who wanted to chat (my husband is hard of hearing) so outside was ideal for us. The menu offered a wide variety of foods and as my husband is Gluten free (not celiac), we had a good selection. Definitely recommended if you want something different !
