My favorite place!
We love their back patio - so comfortable and fun to be outside with the roaring fire and overhead heat lamps. The service is always impeccable and we always feel very well looked after!
Delicious tomato soup & grilled cheese sandwich
Cultivar was the perfect spot to go wine tasting in the city! Even on a cold, almost rainy, day we sat outside with the fireplace and the heaters and enjoyed a flight and few glasses and even chatted with other folks who sat in the back with the dogs! :) Everyone there (customers and employees) were so kind and sweet. The wine was also so delicious! 10/10 would recommend!
I like this place, but what happened to the Steak on the menu? Please bring it back, goes pretty well with this Cabernets..... :-)
very nice wine bar - love that they offer an actual happy hour and there is truffle popcorn
I introduced a friend to Cultivar. It was his first visit. We arrived in time for Happy Hour. We drank Cultivar Chardonnay from Oak Knoll. It was good, very generous pour and extremely well-priced. We ate the hummus, nicely prepared and delicious served with an assortment of fresh vegetables and toast, absolutely delicious. We also enjoyed the toasted cheese sandwiches with a bowl of excellent tomato soup, absolutely delicious and very fresh. Best tomato soup I've tasted in San Francisco. We will both be back.
The wine flights are a great deal- good selection and amount of wine for the price. Food wise, I’d stick with the basics/comforts (burrata, grilled cheese). The salad was average and over dressed.
Food and service were great for our daughters birthday!
Excellent food and service, will dine here again. The grilled cheese was fantastic.
Breakfast was great, and the staff was friendly. Would return in the future.
Great backyard space. Delicious brunch options. Well worth trying out.
Just when we thought it could not get any better, we arrived for an early dinner and discovered the menu had changed and some absolutely delicious seasonal dishes had been added. The charcuterie plate, is the best in town. The newly designed olive dish was fresh and warm and delicious. Cultivar has become a favorite for us. The friendliest, best service from: Taylor and Nick. We will be back.
Loved the salad, the salmon/ risotto, prawns and peppers. Tge service was excellent, reasonably priced, and great wine...of course.
My last review rated Cultivar as outstanding, because it was. Expectations are high when this happens? I took a visiting academic from New York there last week @ 4:00 p.m. She was blown away. The staff, Nick, Barbi and Kevin were extremely attentive and knowledgeable about the food and wine as usual. We both has a great experience, and loved the food, which I have come to expect from Cultivar. Thank you!
Way overpriced and nothing memorable.
Cultivar has become the neighborhood favorite for me and my friends. We know we can expect a friendly atmosphere and fine dining experience, great service, good pours of wine at a reasonable price! It has become a neighborhood gem.
We ate a late weekend lunch here on their lovely patio. It was a beautiful sunny day in the Marina, which helped, and the food was really good for a winery-based cafe. I wasn't terribly impressed with their featured Rutherford cab, but then I'm a wine snob. However, the tuna ceviche and Heirloom tomato salad were quite nice. The Caesar dressing was a little too creamy. We'll go back.
Love being out on the back patio under the heatlamps and with the fire to keep us warm. Food and services were excellent as always - this has become a firm favorite!
Love the back patio to enjoy their great food, service and wine. They are super friendly and the whole experience is enjoyable. Take a sweater if you are out on the back patio as that wind still whips around there! The food is delicious - now they just need some irresistible desserts too!!
We were there on Monday night and the place was pretty full. We got there before 6 pm so we took advantage of Happy Hour deals and glad we did. I highly recommend that. The dinner menu and wine flight were excellent. Service was attentive. We will definitely go back again.
We truly enjoyed our experience Amazing service wonderful food, great wine.
5 friends and I celebrated a birthday on the back patio. Really enjoyable night with great sharing plates and wine. Highly recommend!
This was my first time here and the food was delicious! Yet not sure if I would go back because the noise level was off the chart and I could barely have a conversation with my friend, sitting across the table.
I loved the outdoor patio with the fireplace and heaters. The wine was lovely and the salmon was wonderful. I definitely recommend!
Inventive and tasty food. Great service. Perfect for happy hour.
We had a wonderful meal and the wine and service were great.
surprisingly great (I didn't know what to expect). Went for brunch and will return for sure
The maitre d'/general manager and the waitress were amazing. Very knowledgeable about the food menu and the wine list. They recommended us to a Chardonnay from Gentlemen Farmers in the Napa Valley. Superb and just to our taste. We ordered small plates, including the Caesar Salad and the Charcuterie Plate. Best Caesar ever and interesting, the Charcuterie Plate was extremely attractive and delicious, with great salami, cold meats and cheeses. The olive plate was even warm with good olive oil. We will definitely return and recommend Cultivar to all our friends.
Group celebratory dinner- it was great we all sat outside on the patio and it was a lovely ambiance. The food is great for sharing and everything we ate was delicious! Great wine selection. Alil pricey for the serving portion
This is a great place to enjoy outdoor dining fireside at a decent price. The wine selection is great and the wait staff are very helpful. It's a great place for small plates to share with a group.
We love every experience at Cultivar. It’s an amazing wine bar with great wine AND it’s so much more. The foot is incredible, service is excellent, it has a back patio, and it’s got a great ambiance. We have become regulars here!
The PERFECT neighborhood place! The patio is amazing, with a fireplace & landscaping creating a
terrific cozy atmosphere.
The menu is not long-- Cultivar does a few things, and does them VERY WELL. I applaud that.
No one needsanother Cheesecake Factoryt. Every member of our party was thrilled with our choices for our Mothers Day brunch. Oh, and the Moms got there Mimosas comped! Free! That was a lovely and unexpected touch.
I can't recommend this place highly enough. Good ingredients, good food, great service!
You can’t beat the service
Huge fans of the wine club
It was a perfect spot for lunch/brunch on a sunny weekend day. The food was great, and the back courtyard was very sweet.
The food was wonderful and amazing wines! The service was very good and you really felt that he knew everything about the foods and the wines on the menu. They also have a wine club and beautiful wines and honey and oils you can purchase. The outdoor patio is lovely.
We love this neighborhood wine bar. The service is exquisite, the seating options so diverse, the food yummy delicious. Oh - the wine: great choices!!!
Made a reservation at Cultivar on a whim without knowing anything about the restaurant. Enjoyed the space & food & service and would definitely return.
Eveything we ordered was excellent, especially the crab penne and the asparagus and burrata cheese appetizer. The only downside was the service for the evening. There were only 2 people running the restaurant for the evening (one behind the bar and one server). I think they were just short-handed for the evening and tried to make the best of it. It just took a long time to get our food, but it was worth the wait. I would definitely try this restaurant again.
It was our very first time here. Very good selection of wine. But i think that Ceasar salad and truffle oil is incompatible. In generally all was great
