Cultivar San Francisco is a farm to table restaurant by Cultivar Wine that now featuring craft cocktails. The menu is inspired by locally-sourced seasonal ingredients including from our culinary garden at Caspar Estate. The menu complements hand-crafted wines from our Cultivar Winery and boutique wines from California and beyond.
Our back patio has a fireplace, heaters and festive lighting, perfect setting for a private dinner or a celebration. Sidewalk tables on Chestnut have heaters, great for people watching and guests with dogs.
Seasonal dishes and Cultivar Wines available for take out and to go. We also offer off site catering.
Our location is near the Lyon St. entrance to the Presidio, near the Palace of Fine Arts and in the Marina District of San Francisco.
Mo-Sat: Food until 9pm, Wine until 10pm Sun: Food until 8:45pm Wine until 9pm
Sat/Sun: Brunch: 11am-3pm

The back patio was great for our group of 12! The service was great and we enjoyed the ability to move around and stand up to allow for folks to chat with everyone.

The food was wonderful. The warm Greek olive appetizer was a great start. We asked for bread which we never received. The servers was inattentive. We were there for 2.5hrs for three of us.

This was extremely pricey for a very lackluster experience; the wine was alright, the food was fine though the best thing we had was the grilled cheese(?) when we ordered a large variety of the menu. But the charcuterie board was the final ode to mediocrity that truly pushed this into a bad meal, 36$ for something I could have bought at Trader Joe’s. There’s a lot of great winebars in SF, this isn’t one of them.

We ordered the grilled cheese, tomato soup, sweet potato with aioli, and black and blue salad. All were delicious. Service was great. We sat beside the roaring fire on the patio. It was lovely!

The restaurant is very attractive. On a nice day you can sit outside. The food was very very good. We ordered steak to go on a white truffle salad (salad was worth every penny) but the steak was unfortunately mostly fat. The Benedict has smokey Canadian bacon so beware if you do not enjoy that flavor. The mushroom Benedict is absolutely gorgeous. There are lots of great choices; it was hard to pick. As well, we tried Cultivar’s own sparkling rose’ and it was yummy. We will definitely be back!
