Lovely place, food and service. Such a loss for the area.
We had a Christmas dinner together with my mother, sister, our two daughters and their family which totaled 11 people. Derek was our waiter and (AS ALWAYS) he treated us like royalty. The food was fabulous as it always is and of course I made everyone order BREAD PUDDING for dessert. It was a wonderful evening and everyone was very pleased!

I am obsessed with your bread pudding and MAKE people try it....to date I have converted about 20 people to your bread pudding and have now made it my goal to convert more. Your staff is awesome! My crab cake was just okay. It had a sourness to it. Maybe too much lemon mixed in? The risotto wasn't as creamy, as it was sticky. The vegetables were limp and overcooked. I didn't eat them any more than to taste them. The quantity of food was very good. The peanut butter porter was outstanding!! Great little waitress. Very friendly. I liked what the menu offered; American fare, nothing unapproachable. The soups were good. The pimento cheese spread was good and a nice free starter. I'd go back. Although the food wasn't brag worthy, it certainly was good. A decent, friendly, clean, moderately priced restaurant in the Haymarket area. The name threw me off, though. Culinary, to me, meant it would be unique and maybe high end style meals. Underground also, to me, said something unique and maybe even so good I'd want to keep it a secret so the place wouldn't get so crowded and I could always get it. The food was more on a par with Applebees. Still. A decent place downtown.
The service was great. We asked to be moved and there were no issues. Our server was very attentive. The food is good. A of options and decent pricing. Definitely a not a quiet environment if you're looking for that.
we went to sunday brunch buffet we are vegetarians , nothing means nothing at all is there for vegetarians ... ther charge for oranje juice also .. we didnt had much still paid 40 bucks waste of money . too small buffet
The first-time visit was enjoyable with a very decent meal. Good enough to go back, but not quite great enough to stand out on this night.

This is my favorite place to eat. I take all of my friends here and make them try the Bread pudding dessert and so far have converted 15 friends who now LOVE bread pudding. The wait staff treats me like royalty and I tell everyone about the amazing food! The chef makes some amazing dishes and the vegetarian meatballs and pasta, Chipotle rolls, the Gnocchi pasta are three of my favorites besides the bread pudding. My family loves the Sunday brunches as well! BEST PLACE IN LINCOLN TO EAT!!!!
We were in town for an event so we had a limited menu. My boyfriend was looking forward to the meatloaf but it was not available. The food we did order was great though. Great chicken salad, Mac n cheese, and mango chicken sandwich. They had a good beer selections at a good price for the event as well. Service was just okay. Our waiter was slammed with a big party and never was able to check on us. The whole staff looked to be a little frantic every time a new table showed up. We were happy to get out in time to make it to the show.
Food was just okay but it took an hour to get our food.
We ate here on an event night which may have contributed to the low score. An event menu was in place, presumably to speed service, which in actuality was still notably very slow. We saw our server infrequently and had to flag her down when we needed something. The ambiance could have been appealing however the lack of any sound dampening materials in the restaurant required one to nearly shout across the table in order to be heard. If the restaurant had been half full perhaps service and noise levels may have been acceptable. The food was fair at best. I had the ribs which were tender enough but somewhat bland. The fries arrived on the cool side of warm. I can't recommend and likely will not return unless I hear better experience from others.
Brought the family here after the Nebraska victory over Illinois. All four of us thought the food was outstanding. We ordered, Tacos, Salmon and Burgers along with a couple appetizers bruschetta and chipotle chicken rolls which were incredibly tasty. When in Lincoln go "Underground" and enjoy ride. #GoBigRed
This was a terrible experience. When our party of 8 arrived all together at 7:30 we waited a few minutes until someone greeted us. No other parties were standing at the host stand and multiple employees had walked past us. When we were greeted we gave my name and the host said she didn't show as having my reservation. There were open tables outside so we asked if we could take those. We were told to wait. 5 minutes later the manager came and said he'd seat us outside. We helped him push together 3 tables and he left us 4 menus for 8 people. 10 minutes later a server came and we gave him out drink, appetizer and entree orders. 2 in our party just wanted water and we asked for waters for all of us, even for those who ordered drinks. 25 minutes later the alcoholic drinks came. No water. Then the server brought us water. We arrived to the restaurant at 7:30. At 9pm we received out appetizers. No silverware had been brought to our table yet. The fried green tomatoes where not green tomatoes and tasted like pure grease. They were awful. The chicken rolls were a temperature above cold. Another 15 minutes went by and we didn't get our food. We asked for the manager. He came out and explained that the kitchen was under staffed and out food would be out in "2 minutes". He did not ask if we needed more drinks , the water glasses were empty and he did not clear 1 appetizer plate. When 5 minutes had passed we all got up to leave. As we did so the food was brought out on trays
The manager said he was paying for our entire meal and we might as well soy down and eat it. The food was cold. We were famished so we ate what we could. The ribeye steaks were appalling. So much for a good steak in NEB. Even the bowl of soup that someone ordered was ice cold. I chose this restaurant to take my coworkers to and it was a complete bust. 2 and a half hours to eat cold amd greasy food. The one thing that was hot and delicious: the Mexican street corn that came with the steak.
Delicious! We started with the egg rolls and they were fabulous. My daughter had the ribs which fell off the bone and the sauce was very good. A side of delicious Mac and cheese. I had the shrimp and grits. They did this right! Absolutely delicious! Even the herb balsamic salad dressing was yummy. You won't be disappointed '
