Very pleasant event.
Creative, delicious foodie-worthy creations. We skipped the entrées and ordered lots of appetizers and small plates instead. Well-crafted cocktails and selection of craft beers, and pool tables etc to play after dinner!
We were there to spend time with friends from out of town and to celebrate a birthday. The vibe at Culinary Dropout was great hey didn’t mind that we hung out long after our meal was over. The food was wonderful.
We were seated by our hostess promptly for our reverastion for Sunday Brunch. We sat in the main dining room that had live music which was awesome. The food was very good and our server was outstanding and we were not rushed at all even though it was very busy.
The food is excellent. This restaurant knows how to do two things well. Make amazing food and provide bar none service. If you are in to the energetic scene look no further. If you are looking for a quiet place to dine, it is not this place.
Great as always! Love this place and eat there frequently. Good for dates night, business lunches and family brunch... great energy and good Seevice
The band was too loud! We couldn't talk without yelling!
Excellent meal. Not ordinary. Great ambiance for our end of day meal for colleagues traveling together
We love the ambiance at this location. The server was fantastic. My husband had the burger, always tasty and I had the steak salad and omg I am addicted to it now!
The reservation worked well, the food was wonderful and the service top notch. We have been there for dinner which was nice but we had an even better time for brunch so we will be returning for brunch.
Place was noisy and service spotty. Food was ok but not amazing. Don’t think I need to go back - just too many other options.
Great meal and service. It was perfect for my son’s eleventh birthday celebration.
We were very disappointed with the food. 2 in our party ordered short rib beef stroganoff. The noodles were either soft and mushy or uncooked-in the same bowl. There was very little beef, and the presentation was visually unimpressive. The fried chicken was good, but the other 3 entrees were very average. It appears the Culinary Dropout is living up to its name.
Had reservations @4:30, seated promptly. Service was excellent. Food was great. Jalapeño drink was so so... other than that great experience and will come back.
Brunch service on a Sun was a bit slow with the refills and food, and I had to ask about one item that I never got until we left, but they didn’t charge me for it, which I appreciated. The food was delicious as always!!! I’ll be back!!!
Had a great time at Culinary Dropout. Kind of noisy, but still a good time. Food was good, not outstanding. Service was excellent. Steak was average, at best. The ribs were outstanding and highly recommended. The salmon was good. Had the peanut butter carmel brownie for dessert and it was awesome. Would go there again.
I was pretty disappointed with all of the food. We started with the tuna tartare, not good. Had a Strange taste that no one at our table could figure out. We are major foodies. I had the steak salad, not good. Absolutely no taste. Interesting first time I’ve ever had blue cheese dressing with no blue cheese taste at all. My husband and the other party had meat loaf, that was good, but mash potatoes on both plates were ice cold. Not a good experience, not sure I’ll ever go back. I’ll keep my $250 I spent.
Hubby ordered the fried chicken, which the menu said it’s worth the wait. We got it within 5 minutes and it was very dark in color. No doubt they already cooked it once then threw it in the fryer to heat it up - dry and not worth the $$. Fish & chips very greasy and salty. Took the batter off and fish was moist but too salty - fries cold. A friend sent his fries back... Cole slaw was decent. Chardonnay was very cold, which was great!
The food was excellent. We came in 20 mins before closing and still were sat and served. Service was prompt and attentive. Our server, I can't recall his name, went above and beyond to make sure we were pleased. We ordered a third entree to take home for our son and he made sure to give us a to-go drink and silverware for him. Fantastic dining experience that we will absolutely recommend to friends.
Food was pretty good, but service was lacking... I kept running out of my beverage and had to flag down the server several times for a refill.
Great as always! We will be back
We had to wait 20 mins past the time of our reservation to get our table which was super annoying. We ordered apps thank goodness because the entree I ordered ended up coming out as a soup (not as advertised) which filled literally only 1/4 of the dish. If it was on the menu as a small side soup that would have been fine but not as an entree!! Unbelievably overpriced! I had to order the salmon entree as well so I didn’t go home hungry.
I was very disappointed in our experience at Culinary Dropout in Gilbert. I like trendy and lively restaurants, but the music was so loud it was actually blaring to the point that we couldn't even recognize songs. The noise level made it very difficult to have any sort of conversation. I was very disappointed with the braised short rib stroganoff! It literally only had one descent size of meat with a few little bits so basically I had noodles. Would have a difficult time justifying spending money on this type of experience again,
The meatloaf was very good. The shaved prime rib dip had a large roll and maybe a tablespoon of prime rib. Way too much bread, could hardly taste the prime rib. The braised short rib stroganoff was very mediocre. I always give a restaurant 2 tries, especially with the excellent service we received.
Awesome service by Matt, delicious food and a fun time playing corn hole!
Great food and service! We came in 30 minutes earlier than our original reservation time and they were so accommodating. I like the live music as well.
Amazing experience at the Gilbert location.
After being seated we didn't have service for 25 minutes. Food was cold, service was bad. It wasn’t even that busy. Just awful!
Rang in the new year right!
Going out is difficult for us as we are doing Keto. I ordered a pasta & seafood dish and committed to eating around the pasta. When the server asked if I wanted a box for my leftovers I explained this and she indicated that I should have asked as the kitchen would have accommodated me by substituting grilled veggies for the pasta. Good to know - this will bring us back!
New Years Eve dinner. The food was delicious and our waitress was very attentive.
eceryone in my party agreed the food was pretty average all around, yet the price was gourmet. Service was excellent; too bad the food didn’t measure up.
Have tried this spot 3 times. Just gets worst each time staff and Hostess are some of the most uncaring and unprofessional people I’ve seen in the valley.
Do NOT waste your time or money here!!!
Good service and great food as always- a little loud- but for live music- tolerable for conversation. Parking is simple nearby- and downtown gilbert has a lot of post meal venues to enjoy. Great restaurant concept 0 good drinks- zero complaints.
A great evening with some friends. The whole evening was a great experience. Our server (Bailey) was awesome. The food was great though some was a bit cold, didn’t say anything or send it back. The place was hopping, music was good...and though the environment was noisy we enjoyed the whole evening. We look froward to going again.
I had the pub burger on first visit, and it was so good I just keep getting it. My wife loves the prime rib dip. Both are delicious but what really ties it together are THE BEST FRENCH FRIES I HAVE EVER TASTED. Service is always excellent and the only negative I have is noise level. I am hearing impaired and struggle to hear my wife. We will be back soon.
