Food was exceptional and service was excellent. Highly recommend.
The dessert was great but our entrees were only so-so in our opinion.
Keith was our waiter.
He was vet attentive and was very patient. This was our first time and his recommendations were spot on. The fried chicken dinner was the best. Pretzel cheese fondue was outstanding!
Culinary Dropout in Gilbert, AZ is worth a drive and a try
Just moved here & thought we would try & we loved it !!! Will definitely be back. Thx
Love the food and the entire ambiance of this location. Our server was amazing! He had a great sense of humor and was fully engaged. He new the ins and outs of the menus and had excellent recommendations.
Because of the live music, it was very loud and not good for “intimate dining” or conversation with a group. I wouldn’t bring my dad or a work client on a weekend. For date night or a fun evening, perfect!
We’ll be back!
I had the fried chicken and biscuits. The gravy was so spicy I couldn’t eat it. Maybe I missed the fine print that said spicy but no one at our table would eat it. The chicken club was good but nothing exceptional. The metal chairs are hard and uncomfortable. The service was not great. Definitely a big disappointment.
Great food as usual. There was a live band playing so it was kind of loud. Really hard to hear one another to have a conversation. Also, it is always hard to tell who works there since they don’t have a uniform on. But the food was delicious.
Excellent venue! We sat on the patio! My favorite restaurant right now!
Always an awesome time! The food never disappoints and neither does the service and atmosphere! Good live music, too! One of our favorite spots!
Sat outside and fans were a bit noisy, but otherwise a great visit and would highly recommend!
We love Culinary dropout, sadly they were out of our favorite fried chicken :(
The waitress was great. I was a little disappointed that the fish and chips were out, but it made me try something new. The burgers were great! The Mac and cheese was a little bland. Loved the mashed potatoes and the green beans. I like the Gilbert location a little more as it is quieter so you can hear each other talk. We always get the pretzels when we go because that is one of our favorite things.
Very nice experience. Food and service was great!
Arrived at 7:25 for a 7:45 reservation and was told to wait for a text that our table was ready. I did note that there were 6 or more empty tables that would accommodate my party, but understood that we were a bit early and the restaurant was busy. However, at 7:50 I inquired with the hostess table as to when our table would be ready, noting that at least half of the original empty tables were still empty. Hostess stated that table had been ready for a few minutes, but couldn't elaborate as to why they couldn't meet our reservation time (nor seat us when we arrived). Once seated, we waited 10 minutes for a server to acknowledge us. Food was marginal. They didn't seem to care that our experience started poorly. Wouldn't go back to this location. Try Tempe if you're going to Culinary Dropout. Subpar for a Fox restaurant, maybe the Cheesecake Factory culture has taken hold?!?
We love the Tempe location and thought we’d try Gilbert . Love the venue and location. Our server never did tell
Us her name or I’d give her a shout out. Ribs were way too saucy . Fried chicken excellent. We were celebrating our friends 60th and thought we’d be offered a free dessert . Couldn’t tell if it was complementary and she wasn’t very forthcoming with the offer so we decided to go down the street for ice cream. Your employees need some more training .
We loved everything about Culinary Dropout. The food was fantastic and the service impeccable. We will be returning for sure.
Food was delicious, server was really nice, atmosphere was awesome. The only thing I would reiterate to the servers is stagger putting in appetizer and entree orders. It took a long time to get pita bread and hummus, we were two bites in and our entrees were close behind. It was a little awkward because the server came back to ask how everything was and ended up asking how everything looked because we were still eating our appetizer.
Had 8pm reservations. Pleased we were seated immediately and welcomed by our friendly server. However shortly thereafter things went south. 10 minutes to get drinks and 45 minutes later to take our food order. Sitting in “special VIP” room according to server not so much. Before our food even arrived they began closing curtains and doors to our area. When finally done we couldn’t even get someone to take our money. We had to go up to bar to pay for dinner. Very disappointed especially since we had brought friends from out of state based on others reviews. Food was good, but not looking to go back anytime soon and will not recommend. 🙁
We celebrated my wife’s birthday. Food and service was great.
Food was good although the kitchen told our server they were babble to make my selection - the grilled chicken club. Don’t know why ? Had the chicken club salad instead and it was very good. Service people were very friendly and attentive although service was pretty slow. Will try again to see if I can get my “1st choice” item
Our bday celebration was a great success! Table was ready upon our early arrival. We got top notch service, and the food was delishes.
Fabulous as always. Service was top tier.
Our server was Garrett and he was AMAZING! Handled our crazy girl night like a champ with quick service and a friendly smile.
Service was wonderful! The mgr came to our table more than once to see if we were satisfied. Celebrated our anniversary there and signature dessert given as complimentary dish was excellent!
There were four of us and the food was very good including the appetizers and main courses. We would definitely go back again.
This is a really unique restaurant. It is fun and the food is very good. Our server was one of the best we have had in a mid-range restaurant. We'll be back
Food was so good! The only thing we didn't like was the sweet corn ravioli. It was recommended previously but we were in the mood for something a bit heartier so we got to Meatloaf and Fried Chicken. SO GOOD! We also got the peanut butter toffee rocky road thing and that was amazing too!
Band was good but just too loud. Out with my wife for brunch not a concert.
Culinary Dropout, in Gilbert, had a lively atmosphere with live music yet we were able to have a conversation without yelling. Our server was on point, attentive but not annoyingly so. We had great beer and we are still talking about how delicious our food was. We will definitely be back.
Table wasn’t ready they said it was ok to wait ok but they never called us had to keep checking if table ready was weird
Table was great liked the music good food
Based on the type of venue, I had not expected the variety and quality of food. It was a pleasant surprise and I’ll be back. It is quite a noisy and energetic place, so don’t expect quiet and intimate.
1st timers so we went for restaurant week. Very big, loud, and busy place, we had reservations at 4:45 since they were booked till after 8 pm on Saturday. We shared a salad and the anti-pasta plate and both were really good. I had the meatloaf and my wife had the vegan curry and both were pretty good. The service was excellent our waiter was very tentative and gave us time and answered all our menu questions; we plan on going back during the week.
The food was really good and the service was outstanding! Our waitress was so attentive and personable.
We were excited to try this restaurant based on many positive recommendations from friends. Unfortunately, only our appetizer met our expectations. We ordered a hot sandwich that came cold and a cold sandwich that was just so so. The atmosphere is great and the drinks were delicious, but we do not recommend for a true “foodie“ experience. With so many top options available, I cannot see us returning.
Ambiance and food was great. Outdoor patio very nice. Excellent service.
Had a business lunch there and everyone was pleased with the service and the food!
The food was great, the service very attentive and I did not have to wait with my reservation on here
