We went last night for my daughters birthday. After we were seated it took 15 minutes for our server to come by. Long story short we arrived for our reservation at 645 and didn’t get our entrees until 830. Way too long!!! Waters were empty and while server was nice and energetic he was working too many tables and was spread thin. Super loud music—could hardly hear one another talk. Won’t be r returning to this location.
Unique dishes, tasty food.
Cheese board were pricey for what you got.
It’s a great place for drinks and appetizers. Our dinners were not good. The short rib stroganoff was mushy and way too salty. The fried chicken reminded me of banquet frozen dinner. The shrimp pesto was good but way too salty. The trout was good. The potato chips appetizer was very good but very greasy.
Food was terrific, service was a little slow, but overall a great experience for a birthday dinner!
Incredible food, service and atmosphere! I will definitely return
Great bloody mary's and brunch.
Ambience was very nice.
Went here on a girls night. The night was okay. Our server came to our table maybe 4 times in the 3 hours we were there. Our Cocktail drinks were taking more then 15min to come out. I've been to this location multiple times and this was the first time this happened.
Great comfort food, great drafts, nice friendly atmosphere, good service.
Great place to eat and hang out and people watch.
Fantastic meal and atmosphere
Attended an early Saturday brunch - everything was excellent: service, creative dishes and cocktails. Will be back for sure!
Our waitress was very polite but service was very slow. Drinks from the bar took around 20+ minutes - waitress apologized for the bar being slow. The Italian Grinder was not worth $12 - at this price Subway is better. The beer battered fish and chips for $16,50 was nothing special either - kind of bland. The SHAVED PRIME RIB DIP and SOFT PRETZELS & PROVOLONE FONDUE were excellent. Not worth a return visit for the price.
Noise level is VERY loud due to the bad playing. You can not talk when the band is playing so if you want to have a conversation - don't go there. Otherwise, it is a fun place to go and the food is very good.
Met my friend at 4:30 pm. for drinks and dinner. Service was attentive and well timed. Appetizers & drinks were great: shrimp ceviche and salmon bruschetta. She had kale salad and enjoyed it. My steak salad had mostly romaine spines and huge chunks including the end of a head which was inedible. The steak was well seasoned but very little of it and the avocado was ripe but again, very little of it. The other add ins were sparse, corn, beans and pickled onion. It was mostly lettuce. I wouldn’t order it again but the service was great. Ambience was nice until the music ramped up and we could barely hear one another’s conversation. Probably won’t consider it for our family celebration in April for 15 people because of the noise.
The food was well presented. The vegan curry was VERY salty and the pasta dish was very heavy. The asparagus was excellent
Good food but the patio area was very noisy.
Excellent food! Excellent service! Loved the vibe of this restaurant. Appreciated that there is a parking garage nearby. Will definitely come back.
So fun! Great food!
Why is it necessary to create an atmosphere where I have to scream and go hoarse just to talk to my dining companions?
Very happy we love going here!!! Bar tender was a little slow seemed to avoid assisting us which was a little frustrating but our table service was amazing she was quick and checked on us frequently!!
For what u get it a bit pricey and noisey and i wont return.
This is a great place if you love food! Nikki our server was very knowledgeable and help us make some fun selections. She made sure our drink were full which is a big deal to me. As I was people watching I noticed many other staff going above and beyond this is great to see right here in Gilbert.
Love this place. Service was a little slow to start but he made up for it by bringing out free pretzels. After slow ordering it was great.
i love this restaurant so much and i want to work here so bad and i wouldnt choose a better restaurant to eat at
We came here for our valentines date and were very sad because there was a live band that was so loud. We had to almost yell to talk to each other. Very disappointed. We had eat quickly And didn’t order dessert so we could leave and go y’all somewhere else
Too loud. Way too loud
Great Service would highly recommend
We LOVE eating at the Gilbert Culinary Dropout! We made special reservations for Valentine's Day this year. A couple of "things that could have gone better..." We asked for a booth - the hostess stated that they were only for parties of 6 - although they had place settings for four. And, when leaving there were 4 people sitting at the booth we inquired about. Not a problem, they sat us next to the band - so noise level was a higher than normal. Another "things that could have gone better..." Our food came out within 5 minutes of receiving our appetizers. Overall this visit was good - just a couple of hick-ups.
We had such a great family valentine date. Food was delicious as usual. Only complaint would be i would love more veggies with our meal but otherwise. All perfect.
Great service and a friendly staff made for a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner. Our food was prompt, delicious and our server was very helpful and attentive. The reservation through OpenTable was a breeze and we were seated right away. Will be back again!
We went for Valentines Day dinner. Asked to sit inside and was sat in the patio. Patio seating was set up so tight (to get extra seats in) that we felt like we were eating with the parties on both sides of us. We asked to be moved and they said they couldn’t accommodate us. Highly recommended NOT to go there for a special occasion. Food and service was great.
Really nice atmosphere with good beer selection and live music.
Food was very tasty it was my first time in Gilbert location, we ordered the happy our menu. Only wish you had a gluten free menu which I believe would attract many more patrons..
Totally unremarkable. Pub food. No real reason to return.
While the food was very tasty, it was odd that the Rainbow Trout entrée did not include any starch, vegetable, or salad. Their offering of anti-pasti was strange and a simple cheese selection was miniscule in quantity.
We sat at the bar at lunchtime on February 14th. There was one bartender initially and he was quite busy filling orders for the servers. It took awhile to get his attention for a drink order. Shortly after receiving our drinks, we asked for an appetizer. About 5 minutes after ordering, a man sat next to us and was trying to get someone to take his order. By now there were a few more people behind the bar. It was about 10 minutes before the man, with our help, got a bartender to take his order. After about 30 minutes, our appetizer had not arrived. We asked the new bartender to check on our order and he came out with it right away. Overall, the service was slow and fortunately, we had time to spare. All the people that attended us were very nice, they were just overwhelmed at times. We assumed the mayhem was due to preparations for a busy evening. I am confident our experience is not typical and we will certainly visit again.
The fried chicken plate is amazing. Best cole slaw ever. The chicken was a bit too salty for my taste but I don’t use much salt in my diet so probably just overly sensitive to it. The mashed potatoes and gravy have me thinking about them still!
I went with 2 girlfriends who were visiting from out of town. We all loved our brunch cocktails and entrees. We especially loved the deviled eggs and roasted brussels sprouts that we started with. There was acoustic live music And they were phenomenal
Food is prepared creatively and has terrific flavors. We enjoyed the steak dinner & beef stroganoff, absolutely delicious! Service was outstanding!!! There was live music the evening we enjoyed dinner, not too loud and many folks joined in with singing, a lot of fun!
