I celebrated my birthday here Jan 1st, and celebrated my girlfriend’s birthday here today as well. This is one of my favorite restaurants and they make customers feel so special whether it’s your birthday or not. Service and food are both absolutely outstanding.

The female bartender that worked Sunday was not pleasant. Demanded a credit card before she would take our order without explanation. We eat here often at the bar and have never had such an experience. No one else had to give their cards while we were there, perhaps it was because my husband isn’t from here? Either way if she’s working we will not be dining.

NEVER order their pizza. It was the worst I have ever eaten and that includes cheap frozen ones. The crust was tasteless and had hardly any sauce or cheese. The ribs which I usually like there was way too salty, the fries mushy from being served underneath the ribs, and the coleslaw seemed like it was made at the time of my order and was raw and crunchy without any flavor. My server was the only bright spot.

Staffing was a serious issue. Took 30 minutes to get seated at table that we had reserved. Took another 30 minutes to receive our drink order. Place was crowded and loud and our server was overworked and couldn’t keep up. Food service was slow and meal was just over cooked and mediocre. We have enjoyed plenty of meals at Culinary Dropout. This time was a complete disappointment.

Food was cold. The restaurant is huge lots of energy. The pink pong game was right at our table. Many times. Waitress was nice but had too many tables. 36 hour ribs were tender but no flavor. Fish and chips were served cold. Meatloaf was ok, not great. The culinary dropout should have stayed for a few more courses before going out on his own.

The staff was great and friendly. We had a special request for seating arrangements due to a broken arm and they found the perfect place for us out of the way! Food was delicious too. Everyone left satisfied. Definitely would go again!

Recommend: steak frites, meatloaf and turkey pastrami. Butternut ravioli too sweet and heavy to eat more than about a third of the serving. Our server was really positive and attentive. Desserts selection not great. Very attractive restaurant design, but way too noisy for any conversation.

Service, Ambiance, Food; I really can’t pick an order of which of the three should come first, but this place is 🔥🔥! CJ treated us like close friends we hadn’t seen in years. He walked us through the menu and gave us the list of customer favorites. We chose the Little Gem Caesar and the Detroit Style Pan Pizza (pepperoni and sausage). The salad was spectacular, made with baby romaine leaves (whole), which was different and delicious!! The pizza was charred in spots and tasted terrific! The sauce was magnificent!! This place is a must-stop if you are in the area!
