the waiter was not knowledgeable on the menu and condescending. He said items were not available which were on the menu and we had at that restaurant many times in the past. then he came back and said they had the item. he wasn’t helpful or correct

Delicious ahi tuna salad. I ordered the half size which was perfect for lunch. Exceptional wait staff. Very attentive. Decor is so charming and the Italian music was fun. I’ll be back!

Eight of us dined in this warm and welcoming restaurant on a late Sunday afternoon. The group included our adult children and their spouses. Due to logistical questions associated with when we would all arrive, I needed to speak with a staff member on a number of occasions prior to our arrival. I have never experienced more thoughtful, flexible and responsive personnel. The meals were served at the pace we had wished and was delicious and the service was wonderful. I offer a full-throated hurray for the experience the restaurant provided us as well as their fine food.

The food quality seems to be dwindling. Some of their signature dishes are different and makes you wonder if the chef has changed and also consistency in recipe.
The portions too are different.
The corkage is atrocious at $30 and unfortunately they don’t demonstrate any flexibility.

We went there for our first anniversary dinner. We were seated as soon as we walked in, no waiting at all. We loved the ambience of the place. Make sure you ask for the seating preference while booking, as our request to be moved to a different table further away from the main entrance door was not successful as all the tables were booked already.
Overall, the food was amazing and the service was great!! One of the best pastas I've had. Some choices might be on the pricier side.

It was my daughter’s birthday. The place wasn’t as packed like the weekdays. It was quiet and the food was really good. It was so good, my son ordered a second angel hair pasta.

We felt that the wait staff could have been more attentive. There was only one other table with customers and the staff seemed to be spending more time socializing with each other. We kept having to flag someone down for what should have been normal items to check- refills, parmesan cheese, etc.
Most of the food was very good, but the shrimp did not taste at all fresh.
We have been here multiple times and this is the first time we were a little disappointed.

We booked a table for 3. When we arrived, we were shown to a table with 4 place settings and 4 menus. The excess place setting and menu were not removed, which seemed odd. I then noticed that I needed to swap out my dinner fork since it was dirty - not a good start. We ordered the octopus and sizzling shrimp appetizers to share. When the appetizers arrived, my wife asked the server to remove the excess place setting to make more room. The server condescendingly informed my wife that he was responsible for delivering food and it was not his job to remove dishes. We would have to ask someone else if we wanted the extra dishes removed. The place setting just sat there for the rest of the meal. As for the appetizers, the sizzling shrimp wasn't sizzling, but was quite tasty. The octopus was overcooked and tough.

When we ordered the entrees, I asked for my salmon to be cooked medium rare. The server informed that that the chef probably couldn't (or wouldn't) honor my request because the fish had to be diced to include in my dish!! I was speechless.

When the food arrived, it turned out that the chef actually did fix my fish the way I wanted it and it was quite good. We all 3 had pasta included in our entrees and the pasta was cooked perfectly.

So bottom line, it was a mixed bag experience. Although the entrees were good, they were not good enough to offset the negative parts of the experience.

We love this restaurant! It’s a hidden gem. The food is delicious, the ambiance inviting, the service exceptional, the noise level is low so you can enjoy conversation. It’s our family’s favorite place to celebrate birthdays, the holidsys or a nice evening out.

The ambience is appealing though when you enter there are tables immediately in front of you. Tables are too close together. Our food choices were served very quickly and yet weren’t very hot. While our server was fine, the bussers were very aggressive. When they removed my plate my guest was still eating. I don’t like that to begin with. Then he took my guest’s bread plate, the basket of rolls and the butter. When he was finished I asked for decaf and cream. The waiter told me they have never had cream - milk only Okay. Then he said they don’t brew coffee but could make me a decaf Anericano with milk. Okay. Then he came back to tell me they were out of decaf espresso. So no after dinner coffee. As we sat and chatted the bussers removed the salt and pepper shakers from our table as they stripped tables that were empty and piled the chairs on them. Besides our table there were at least twenty other guests in the restaurant. At 9:30 they turned on bright lights to clear the restaurant. I would never go back there.

Nice place and good food. The problem is that they started mopping up around our table at 9:30 pm and putting chairs on tables, I assume to get us to leave? I've never had wait staff mopping the floor while still eating at a restaurant. Didn't make the dessert taste good.

Arrived and our table was no longer available as Open Table booked an outside table. The maître d’ was on it and pushed two tables together instead of turning us away! Food and service 5 stars! Will definitely be back!

We arrived and we were able to choose our favorite table. Danny, our server was thoughtful regarding our wine choices and made selections based on what we seemed to like. I had a Hendricks gin and tonic, perfect! Each of us enjoyed our meal, so very yummy. We had my daughter's energetic son along, Danny did not seem perturbed to have this exuberant 8 year old to contend with.

Cucina Venti is a long-time favorite. the menu has changed a bit but our favorite dishes liked grilled salmon and short ribs are still there. the heirloom tomato and burrata salad was yummy too. on a warm night we sat outside and it was lovely. the service is quick and efficient and we appreciated the timely attention given to us by the wait staff.

They were nice enough, but felt like they were missing wait staff. Service was so slow, we actually didn't even get to dessert because we were so ready to go.

Food was pretty average, beet salad and canelop with prescuito both had so much lettuce that you couldn't find the core ingredients. The bolgnese pasta had NO meat...

No vibe at all.

The food here is very good but the prices are not commensurate with the neighborhood and the service. First courses are excessively expensive: $17 to $20 or more. The extensive wine list is also overpriced even by San Francisco standards. One should not have to pay $17 or more for an avererage size glass of non-premium wine. On Friday night the place was out of two of the most popular Italian reds. The young man who served us was amateurish and the bussing was neither prompt nor consistent. It appears that no experienced restauranteur manages the floor. If you care about value when you dine out, think twice before committing $150 or more here for two courses with wine.
