Great, as always.
Enjoyable atmosphere, I appreciated the owner and/mgr stopping by the table. I feel like for the price, the server could have been more attentive. We had to continually ask for more wine, ran out of water.. waited for a long time to receive anything and it wasn't even busy in there. Still would recommend, but the servers should be more attentive. We had to keep flagging her down 3+ times and we weren't even a needy table. 🤷🏻♀️
Best crab cakes and desserts. Service beyond expectations!
Amazing, delicious, beautifully presented food and fabulous service!
My favorite spot! New design and sound baffles are a great addition. Food is superb as always
My husband and come at least once a month for dinner. The food and wine are great! The atmosphere is so cozy (although I wish they’d turn the heat up a little bit). We had the ahi and the fried Avocado both delicious. There was only one server but she was fantastic and we didn’t have to wait for anything.
Best restaurant around. Doesn’t matter what I order I love it all. We’ve been coming here for a few years. The owner Dean and chef Joey are very friendly and accommodating to any needs! Plus a fantastic wine list 🍷Cheers
Only less than a dozen restaurants in SLC that provide this level of creativity and execution. Outstanding. Thank you Cucina.
Fabulous food and service! Would even impress Anton Ego!
Best food in Salt Lake City!
Get everything on the menu
Yummy and quaint!
We're always so happy that Cucina is in our hood. Great meal and ambiance. Sometimes a bit slow in the kitchen, but otherwise perfect.
THE BEST D@MN RESTAURANT IN UTAH. PERIOD.
One of our favorite places to eat! Can be on the pricy end but the food is well worth the price. The Owner/sommelier, Dale is an absolute treasure. This place is one of the best kept secrets in SLC. Never on any of the “best of lists” but easily one of the best dinners out there.
Best restaurant in SLC.
Amazing! Got the octopus gnocchi and already planning on going back to get it again
The food is excellent and unusual dishes. Experimental but usually very good. Some dishes too experimental and only soso. Ammbience is nice and the noise level low in the back room where we sat.
Mill was absolutely fabulous my wife had the bison and I had the Ahi tuna. Both were exceptional dishes. ERICA does an outstanding job Managing this restaurant and the chef is exceptional. We were grateful to have chosen this restaurant
A wonderful evening with out-of-town guests. The first surprise for our guests is that virtually every wine on the wine list is available by the glass, which allowed us all to devise our own pairings for dinner. The pace of service was great, with the appetizers arriving promptly but there was no rush to put in our mains order. Because the table had questions about the ingredients in the pasta sauce -- we had a couple of dueling dietary restrictions -- Chef Joey came to our table and discussed the dish with our group, offering up a customization for one person. Three of the four in our party ended up ordering the pasta. I also asked Chef Joey about the bison, and he sold me on it. It more than lived up to his description. This is the type of personal, diner-first service that is a hallmark of Cucina in our experience. We finished up the evening with shared lava cake -- very intensely chocolate as it should be -- and the Meyer Lemon semifreddo, which is somewhere between mousse and cheesecake and intensely lemon while remaining not too sweet. Just delicious. We have been reluctant to dine in during COVID and have been mostly outside, but, on a cold evening, we found the tables well spaced in Cucina and the personal treatment warm and genuine. It is a jewel in our neighborhood and for Salt Lake City.
We have always loved this restaurant, but it seems to have slipped a bit. Food tasted as if it had been sitting for a while before reaching our table and the restaurant was so noisy that we couldn't hear one another speak. (We didn't know live music would be inside on this particular evening (it is usually on the patio) or we would have chosen another restaurant.) The staff kept propping the front door open creating a cold draft. We (and patrons near us) all put on coats to finish our meals. It felt as if they might be encouraging us to finish up and leave quickly or they cared more about their own comfort than the comfort of those dining. We asked for the door to be closed, and it was for about 2 minutes before it was propped open again. We had visitors in from Seattle and NYC, and hoped they would really love this restaurant, but all in all, a less than satisfying experience.
While the food was sophisticated, the majority of entrees received by my group did not taste very good. Aside from the bison steak, most were bland and the Hopi maze polenta was left by everybody. I even saw the majority of customers leaving theirs on their plate as well.
The ingredients in the majority of the food were top-notch. The blending of those ingredients into the entrées served Did not serve those ingredients well. The majority of meals were bland, again other than the basin, and fell fairly flat.
The service was good and the ambulance was good. I would not eat here again.
My family, friends, and I love Cucina. The food is always top notch, creative, and seasonal. The owner never fails to greet us with genuine pleasure and individual attention. Hands down my favorite place to get together for great food and a wonderful experience.
After seeing posts about Cucina we’ve been looking forward to giving them a try. We were not disappointed! Everything from the personal greeting at the door to dessert was perfect and was enjoyed by all. Can’t wait to go back.
The octopus was the best.
Amazing as always. Can sit there all night sipping frozen wine and eating crab cakes.
Eclectic menu. Good crab cakes and an inspired salad featuring Macadamia nuts. Outdoor seating was quiet and homey.
How fortunate are we in SLC to be able to sit outdoors, under starry skies and Edison lights, dine on professionally prepared creative food, listen to live music on Saturday evenings, and toast friends with fine wines? Very lucky, indeed. Cucina fits the bill on all counts.
I'm a matchmaker and I set up a blind date for my clients here. They loved the ambiance of the patio area and thought it was a great date spot.
Fabulous meal and great staff!
great food and service
Had a date here and it was perfect. Food was excellent and the server was delightful and funny. My new favorite neighborhood restaurant.
Great service. Great atmosphere. Excellent food. Limited menu, but it is a wine bar. Will be back!
Had a great time. Food was really good. Patio was fun, that had live music which was a great surprise. Well worth it.
We went to celebrate our anniversary and were very pleased. Great live band on Saturday night. The crab cake appetizer, ahi tuna, and pasta main plates were exceptional. Both indoor and outdoor dining are available. We chose outdoor and enjoyed the band nearby. It is located in a quiet neighborhood with plenty of free street parking. One of our top-rated SLC restaurants.
The heirloom tomatoes, and the crab cakes from the small plate menu are both excellent choices, as was the octopus gnocchi entre. The octopus here is always cooked to perfection. Nice wine, and beer list. Hailey, our server, is fun, personable, and very efficient. We appreciate her efforts, along with the other staff. Most diners were sitting outside, so they had a lot of running to do!
Delicious always! Home away from home🍷
Fabulous. Laura the waitress was cute as a button.
Very definitely. Dean and the staff have been so accommodating to our requests. It's my favorite place to dine, actually in Salt Lake City.
The staff is friendly and very efficient.
Love the patios, spaced just so one is outside, with others, but has ones own space.
