Everything was very good . We were just very disappointed in the fact they no longer have Glutin free pasta, pizza, bread. We have been going here for years . Our daughter is Glutin free allergy
So excited with the this newest remodel of The restaurant. The atmosphere is beautiful and more importantly, the food is incredible now. They really have stepped up their game.
This is quickly becoming a local favorite.
There were four of us. We ordered the snapper piccata and the salmon. Both were excellent. Our server was attentive and most congenial. My only negative is the multiple texts and required affirmations for the reservation. We would likely choose this restaurant again.
Yummy white pizza. Great impossible burger and Brussel sprout Cesar salad.
Disappointing. Food was very overpriced and mediocre. Would not go back.
Food was good but not outstanding. Love the new atmosphere since the reconstruction.
Great veggie pizza and pastas. Nice vibe either inside or outside. Very attentive and friendly service.
It must have been an off night for the new Cucina - 2 drinks were made incorrectly, but quickly replaced. Food was slow in coming and not hot. Will probably give it another try because we have always enjoyed the restaurant, but the new version seems to be more casual, more focused on the bar and a little less organized.
We live close by and were excited to try the Impossible burger, a new addition to Cucina’s menu. We have had it many times in nyc, at several different restaurants and love it. This was definitely the worst rendition of it, we’ve ever had.
They served it between two pieces of soft lettuce, believe it or not. It was slippery, very messy and Impossible to pick up, so we tried to use a fork and knife and the lettuce and tomato went flying everywhere, including the table. The sauce it was supposed to come with was a thin smear, the size of a pea.
The burger itself was cold (as were the very mediocre fries) and tasteless, like they forgot to season it. We asked for cheese (because it was so bland and all the renditions in nyc come with vegan cheese) and they didn’t have any, so we agreed to have real cheese put on it (replacing the lettuce and tomato).
After we finished, the server asked us how we liked them and we gave her some input, even offering to speak to the cook about his version, compared to all the much better versions we’ve had.......and she did nothing. And said nothing to the “manager”. We then got the bill and almost fell over, when we saw the burgers were $21, each, plus they had the gall to charge $2.00, for a thin slice of cheese!!!
The entire time, the “manager”, instead of walking around asking people how their meals were, was sitting at the hostess stand texting and surfing on her cell phone. As we left, we decided to mention all the above to her and she got defensive and, instead of apologizing and thanking us for our helpful comments, continued to try and justify the existence of a $21 ($23, with cheese) burger. Save your money and go to The Grill, where the food is consistently good and the manager actually is trained and notices her surroundings.
This was my second time there and the food was delicious both times. Our waitress was very knowledgeable but not too attentive.
Love the new decor! Smaller menu so weren’t sure what to expect but we were wowed!! I had the best moules frites (mussels and fries) I’ve ever had! Better than Paris or any French restaurant! My husband loved his short rib pasta so we will be back! And soon I hope.
Outstanding new decor only outdone by yummy food!!! Great service. Great vibe. I love this place!
Our waiter was as ALOOF as I’ve ever had. Completely arrogant attitude. (James?)
I like the remodel but miss the Barkley Bowl! I used to love all the big white beans in a lot of your dishes..they were very unique!
Always a great place to dine. Recent remodeling was done well. The younger folks like that it turns into a dance place after 10pm. I like dining outside but those tables are hard to come by. When they say giant shrimp they mean giant shrimp.
Enjoyed great service, lovely ambience and wonderful food! Will be back soon :)
We sat outside service was awesome and food was great
Food was very good. And our server was excellent. Outdoor seating was great tonight with perfect weather.
The place was nice and we will go back
First time visit after the “re-opening “
In a word, disappointing!
Bartender was lackluster and picking her skin, which was strange. Impossible burger an unusual experience and chicken part a mound of red sauce which looked like what would be served at a truck stop.
Evidently Open Table reservation is meaningless ! We were ushered to the furthest table, in front of kitchen. It was 6:00 the place was empty.. a few at the bar, 2 tables on terrace, 2 empty and inside totally empty. We were refused every table that we suggested and told they we’re reserved . We said we have a reservation ! We gave up and sat very uncomfortably , watched party’s of 2 and 4 get the booths that we wanted . We will not go back. We live here and we will go where we are welcomed!!! And valued customers.
Wonderful redo of space. Brought back best tuna tacos. Thanks Nick and crew
The food was very good and I loved looking at all the photos on the walls.
The noise level was terrible. We could hardly hear each other across the table. The renovation of the prior restaurant is attractive. The menu is limited but the food was quite good.
Noise level high from inside crowd & outside street noise. Service was spotty and felt rushed. Food decent, beef tartare was the highlight and Caesar dressing was good.
Our table had a wide variety of excellent food. The service was impeccable and the ambiance was tasteful and fun ! We’ll definitely be back !
Great food and service. The bolognese special was fantastic and the bread pudding dessert was amazing. Highly recommended!
Great service and excellent food. They made me into a fan.
Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. Great overall dining experience. Highly recommended.
First time we've been there where the food was awful service was great there was a big party in the back of the restaurant and all of the attention was for them. We were the only people there on a Monday night it was empty service should've been good like it always is very disappointed we were with friends who had never been there before and they will not go back
Food was delicious. The waiter wasn't very attentive.
I was worried as my companion had a bad lunch experience here. However we went anyways and we were very glad we did. Food, ambience and service were all fantastic . As it was a Friday night, they start putting away the tables around 10 ish, the DJ arrives and Cucina is transformed into a really fun bar. We didn't know this as we were visiting from out of town. We stayed well beyond the dinner hour and had a great time.
Easter Dinner with the Grandparents
Really enjoyed it
Have been coming to Cucina for 10 years and food is still wonderful and they're still bringing the fun.
Off the beaten path, but a must...Great, healthy italian food!
Excellent service, breakfast dishes were delicious and served nice and hot, and at the same time. Will definitely return to try their dinner menu!
Started off great. But then the restaurant got busy and the server became spread way too thin and no where to be found. The calamari appetizer was great, but the veal chop was bland and tough and the snapper was rather bland as well.
Used to be good...after being bad 3 times in a row over the last 2 months I'm going to give it a rest. WE had chicken cacciatori that was loaded with fat, and the chicken parm could have been a frozen store bought package...tasteless food...disappointing.
Ordered Rose wine, Miraval. Ordered another glass, they gave me another type of wine. When I questioned the wine, the waiter asked the bartender who told him that they had run out of Miraval. Should have told me that BEFORE giving me wrong wine. And they should have comped the wrong wine. Very bad way to run a business by deceiving customers. Proceed with caution.
