CUCINA Colore of Cherry Creek Ratings and Reviews
I have not visited Cucina for some time. Was pleasantly surprised - food was better than I remember -- menu as well.
Both of really enjoyed the meal. Service was solid.
Will put it back on my list of regular - go to spots in Cherry Creek.
Cherry Creek has more and more options but fewer solid choices - Cucina Colore should be on the list of top five options in the area.
In the he past, I have enjoyed Cucina Colore, however, my experience on Thursday night was a disaster. I met 3 friends for Happy Hour at 4:30 P.m. The restaurant and bar were almost empty. I advised the hostess that we were there for Happy Hour. She seated us in the dining room. The server advised us that Happy Hour was only available in the bar. We asked for seating in the bar. It took him 10 minutes to find out that the bar tables were reserved for a large party coming in at 6:30. He advised that a community table was available, as well as, seating at the bar. We moved to the community table only to be advised that Happy Hour was only available if seated at the bar. There were 4 of us and seating at the bar was not conducive to conversation. No one was in the bar dining area or seated at the community table. The bartender finally agreed to serving us at the community table. She took our order for food and wine. She brought the wine, but our food order was lost. Forty five minutes later, we asked about our order and it was promptly placed a second time. We were served in a timely manner. The effort involved in meeting for wine and snacks at Cucina Colore was unacceptable. We had a reservation for 4:30 p.m. The seating wasn’t resolved until after 5:00 p.m. I have dined in crowded restaurants all over the world and never experienced such disorganization by the staff. I cannot understand why a restaurant and bar cannot seat 4 people for wine and snacks at 4:30 in the afternoon when the restaurant is not overly busy.
We had a wonderful lunch sitting outside on the patio. The service was excellent as was the food. Two of us had the salad with a cheese encrusted artichoke (I added shrimp) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our friend had an intestinal problem and asked for a grilled cheese (not on the menu) and they were able to make her a delicious sandwich.
Great restaurant with a nice atmosphere. I highly recommend.
Our waiter at Cucina Colore was very friendly and knowledgeable of the menu. We didn't feel rushed to order so we were able to really enjoy our dining experience, which included appetizers, entrees, cocktails and dessert. Even though the menu wasn't large, there were so many good options we had trouble choosing! In the end, everyone loved everything we ordered.
It’s my goto spot for lunch whether with local friends or out of town visitors. The food and service never fail to deliver. Having their own parking lot is also a big reason I keep returning as parking in Cherry Creek in general in a total pain. Keep up the good work.
There's a reason Cucina Colore has been in Cherry Creek North for decades...they do a great job! Friends from out of town were impressed and we definitely enjoyed our meals...pasta with shellfish, veal piccata and pasta less lasagna were all delicious and all were more than generous servings. Service was very good and attentive. We need to go back more often than we do and will make a point of doing such.
A Cerry Creek classic - lovely and lively surroundings, great food, a parking lot and you can actually have a conversation! It's one of our favorites and never disappoints. They can get busy around 7PM especially Thurs. through Saturday (like all good Denver places) so call ahead for a reservation or go early or late.
Cucina Colore has been consistently good for nearly two decades. we love it for Italian-inspired fish dishes, gluten-free bread, gluten free pizza, incredible brussels sprouts, consistent cocktails, great wine list. Our server was fantastic, manager was very personable and engaging, patios are lovely.
Sunday evening we were exhausted and needed a break. Cucina never disappoints. We sat on the patio and enjoyed the lovely Colorado evening. Everything was delightful; drinks, appetizer and of course dinner. Thanks for always coming through with a relaxing enjoyable experience.
We consistently have had highly satisfying meals at CC and this occasion the result was again outstanding. Chef Luis has a great hand in the kitchen. The arugula salad with artichokes was superbly executed with adept flash frying that adhered just the right amount of grano. The truffle dressing dripped on the side was potently flavorful without being overpowering. Calamari appetizer was also perfect - not greasy, very tender, not salty, and abundant. The special, swordfish with a subtly spicy cucumber salsa was also highly enjoyable, and was accompanied by a surprising side of perfectly sauteed diced potatoes, which I like to include in a meal that includes a bottle of wine. The wine, by the way, was a reasonably priced rose from Southern Rhone, something you don't always see at an Italian restaurant. CC is still on top of its game after 20 years.
We really enjoyed our dinner. Started with calamari, which was delicious. Both our entrees were very good and the service was excellent. Only downfall, not the fault of the restaurant by any means, was the loud mouth customer several tables away, apparently she thought everyone wanted to hear what she had to say. Looking forward to our next visit.
I was very impressed with our hostess, who was pleasant, accommodating and helping even before we took our seat. The waitstaff was attentive and we did not feel rushed throughout our entire dining experience. The choices in salads and pizzas made for some great opportunities to taste a number of different flavors.
It was the first time we'd been there, and we had a great time. Angelita looked after us really well, and the food was fabulous. We had the enormous serving of calamari, plus an entirely unnecessary baked goat's cheese for appetisers, but so glad we got it anyway - was delicious. Then my husband had the mushroom ravioli and I had a pizza, both were great. Next time, we would sit at the bar, since that looked like great fun.
