About
Such a wonderful place with a unique festive vibe and charm. So so sad it’s closed.
Everyone was friendly but I felt like the servers didn’t come to our table very often. We asked for a dessert menu at the end of the meal and she brought us our check instead. The food lacked a lot of flavor and needed some salt.
Had such a great experience! A true hidden gem. Drinks were fabulous. Highly recommend
Fabulous as always
Fun, lively atmosphere and nice, attentive, knowledgable service. The food was interesting, creative and tasty.
Great vibe and food. But they were incredibly unprofessional and rude, considering that we came to celebrate a birthday, the return of our bill saying that we hadn’t given enough tip was frankly rude. There was no suggestion of rates, or consideration that we had bought a substantial amount from the menu (above $100). We tipped what we deemed was a fair amount, as students, and non–natives of the US. They challenged us twice regarding how much we had tipped. The food was great, but very expensive for what we got – three scallops were $14. Something to consider if you visit the restaurant, but if tipping, polite service and money isn’t an issue the place is a great night.
Food here is excellent. Such a wide variety of interesting tapas. The cocktails are amazing, but they come out reallllly slow. The front of the restaurant is gorgeous and welcoming, but our table was all the way back next to the kitchen, so we got bumped into by servers all night (not enough room to move in the chair).
Great ambience, feel, a treat for the eyes and ears, and certainly a memorable experience.
My Watermelon Cocktail was as delicious as It was beautiful.
We ordered from every course sharing each plate from appetizers through desert.
Everything was nicely presented and delicious.
Thank you for having vegan options!
Awesome as always!
Fun, eclectic, delicious. Many tasty dishes from around the world to share. Great gluten free menu featuring most of the dishes with slight alterations. Thoughtful as well as satisfying. Love this place!
We absolutely love this place! Unique and delicious food options, fantastic cocktails, and consistently wonderful service. The decor is a mess of vintage and it makes the place feel eclectic and homey and the servers wear 20s costumes. Highly recommend.
Love this restaurant! So much fun to dress up too, speakeasy style.
I came here for my birthday on a whim, and it was fantastic. The food was delicious and interesting--small plates from all over the world, so there's a great selection and an opportunity to try new things. The duck l'orange crepes were fantastic (and I've never ordered duck before), as were the pear, parm & bacon bites, the baby back ribs, & the skirt steak. There's something for everyone on the menu. Cocktails were inventive and tasty. The servers were fun and helpful, and very nice. Can't wait to come back!
Enjoyed the international small plates and the art deco decor.
Our waitress wasn’t the friendliest. Waited for a drink for over 20 min and by that point we were finished.
Grear plates, they nailed everything. Delicious cocktails too. Loved the atmosphere, it was very theatrical and different from many of the generic type restaurants that populate the city.
My friend and I went for dinner and it was outstanding! The atmosphere was perfect and had exactly the type of feel I was going for. The food was pitch perfect and the staff was also very accommodating and welcoming. Can't wait to go back! The octopus was amazing, too!
Best place to celebrate Special occasion! Everything was top notch!
It was an enjoyable dining experience overall. The only area of concern was even though we knew it was tapas like dishes the amount of food was small and the prices high. Our only critique, otherwise a good experience
Cuchi Cuchi was excellent! Loved the bacon/pear bites
Amazing....as always!
This place was amazing! Food and drinks were awesome! Have recommended it to all our friends and family
Great place, eclectic food, and great service
The waitress was not a good waitress at all.
She asked to bring us a second set of plates and then forgot until we were done with the entire meal and we asked her and she didn’t even say “that’s my fault”. She asked how things were the first two food drops and barely came over again. I waited 30 minutes to even have the change to ask for a coffee and it was because her manager took our coffee and dessert order. I specially put birthday and special occasion and they did nothing for it, but I heard everyone else having special songs sung to them. She didn’t really seem to want to be there or share with us suggestions. When we asked about things she seemed to shrug her head and not care for it too much. She took our silverware at one point too and we were sharing one fork.
Excellent food
Beautiful decor
Great cocktails!
I love this place! Such a unique vibe and great food!
Best food I've had in the Boston area and I've lived here for 10+ years.
Cuchi Cuchi is one of my favorite places to take people visiting Cambridge/Boston area. Does not matter if they are from Europe or Indiana, they are impressed with the unique ambiance and food offerings. I never get tired of the Cornets of tuna, the cuban cigar, the Indian lamb. However, I am still finding dishes like the Mexican tomato which are outstanding. Great people and atmosphere as well.
We spent our 1-year anniversary at Cuchi Cuchi and couldn’t have been more impressed. The ambiance was beautiful and unique, the food was DELICIOUS and the wait staff was prompt and helpful with the menu. Definitely will be returning - seriously such a great experience!! We talked about it the whole car ride home.
We live outside of the city but one look at the menu and their cocktails menu in particular was all it took to convince us to take Uber and leave the car at home.
Great decision!
The cocktails were amazingly good. We especially liked the vintage ones. We never ordered the same one twice. My choices included the Vesper Martini, The Avenue, and the Corpse Reviver. We shared the Espresso Martini during dessert.
Food. Their garlic shrimp (gambas al ajillo in Spain) was exceptionally good, and I would say the best I have tried outside of Spain. It was so good in fact that we ordered a second helping later in the meal.
There is nothing bad on the menu.
Our server was Max. Very good service. Very polite and friendly. Very knowledgeable about the menu.
Wonderful as always. Our favorites were the artichoke dish and banana bread dessert. Amazing cocktails as well. Everyone had different eating styles (vegetarian, pescatarian, meat-focuses) and we still found a lot to share and enjoy.
We went there on my husband's birthday and it turned out to be a good decision. We loved the food and the birthday celebration done by the restaurant team.
The food was incentive and wonderfully delicious. The ambiance was good. The service was outstanding - such a great waitress. But the noise level got ay too high.
Really great food and drinks in a fun atmosphere!
great small plate menu and excellent bar in a warm and comfortable space. Very good service and reasonable value. we'll be back.
Great decor, huge cocktail menu and delicious food! The portions are small for the price, but the menu has great choices for sharing.
We were seated in the very back of the restaurant, next to the dish washing section despite over 10 empty tables elsewhere. Our server routinely walked past us with empty dishes and glasses on our table. While the food was very good, everything was overpriced for the quantity we received. We frequently go out for small plates but ended up leaving earlier than we would have otherwise and went to Craigie on Main for more food at their bar (much better value and service).
Christmas Eve tradition with my spouse. We explode a restaurant new to us with a special menu. Cuchi Cuchi did not disappoint. The flavors from around the world in larger than tapas servings were great for sharing and filling up!
The atmosphere and service were great! We’ll be back!
