Super fun and eccentric. My out of town guests LOVED it and couldn't stop talking about the experience, tasty food and cocktails. Only issue was our server was MIA for about 20 minutes and we received our food before our drinks. This seems to be an isolated incident. I've had fine service before.
Banana bread extravaganza and the rest of the food is always amazing, but we were ignored for 20 minutes at the beginning there!
Took a long time 20+ minutes for our first drinks. But after that everything was good
Cuchi Cuchi is an excellent restaurant with superb food and top-notch drinks. There are only two complaints: the service is rather slow; this is partly due to their focus on bespoke cocktails. Complex cocktails require much, much, much more time to make than say, a gin and tonic. Consequently, bars that focus on them (like Cuchi Cuchi) leave patrons waiting quite a while to receive their beverages, especially on busy nights.
Our waiter was hit-or-miss; it seemed like he got more attentive as the evening wore on. Part of this was the aforementioned time lag between ordering a drink and the bartender's completion of it, which was beyond his control.
The food is absolutely exquisite; only the vegetable spears were a bit "meh;" and the server's recommendation for two of their small plates per person was right on target.
Interior is cozy and kitschy, and the overall experience was a positive one.
I was recommended Cuchi Cuchi by a friend and I was not disappointed! Our server was attentive and kind. The atmosphere was romantic and fun! Great cocktails and even better small plates. The octopus was the best thing we’ve had recently! Thank you Cuchi Cuchi for a great experience.
We enjoyed our Friday dinner- atmosphere was very romantic and food was very good.
Reconnected with a Fraternity Brother after 40 years who I discovered lived just outside of Boston. As I had become familiar with Cuchi Cuchi via their website, I picked it as the spot to catch up with him over dinner. Definitely a unique dinning experience. The restaurant is modeled after a 1930s French bistro complete with the female servers in period customs. The menu is a "small plates" style menu with items from all over the world, and identified as such. They are proud of the long list of handcrafted cocktails they offer, all made from scratch by expertly trained bartenders. We dined for over three hours and each and every dish was delicious. I would definitely recommend Cuchi Cuchi to everyone. One note, due to its location on Main street in Cambridge parking is a problem. Fortunately Cuchi Cuchi is a 5-10 minute walk to the Central Square subway station. Otherwise, take a cab or Uber.
I had a wonderful time at Cuchi Cuchi and would come again!
The ambiance, especially in bar area, is Parisian-cozy and wonderful spot for a winter evening. The dark-wood bar, glass lamps, and classic stain-glassed windows are magnificent, and drinks are good though a tak pricier than they should be. Food: the small plates are tasty (the mushroom risotto and eggplant Napoleon were our favorites), but the service was so-so. Our party of three ordered six plates -- all good, but they were delivered slowly in a slow-ish sequence we wish our server at told us about; we never knew which plate was coming out next. After we had finished all of our food we ordered coffee and tea (and no dessert) -- and it took the server 15 minutes more to bring the coffee & tea.
We did my 30th birthday party here, which also corresponded with New Years EVe. The place was very festive and the bar scene are perfect for the countdown.
The worst service. Food is made in the morning for dinner service.
Really fun vibe, great food and great cocktails! Works for a group outing or for a date.
Amazing food, great service!
Food was great , full of favor and beautifully presented . The service not as attentive but their attire was very pretty we loved the Bar and the drinks . The ambience very attractive and entertaining. Love to comeback and try other menu items
Went here for my spouse birthday and had a blast. Service was great, food was great. My wife is a somewhat picky eater and there were still plenty of items to choose from. The ambiance is so fun- staff members are dressed up from a costume closet the store has and provided fantastic service. We will definitely be back.
This is a remarkable restaurant and bar. The costume characters i.e. waiters, wear 30s vintage café Society clothing, while they tend to you. The service is impeccable, but the food quality leaves a bit to be desired. The garlic shrimp is a stand out but most of the other dishes we ordered were mediocre especially the risotto and stroganoff. The cocktails are outstanding and probably the best in the city. Definitely worth a visit!
Not the first time here, and certainly their menu variety of small unique plates continues to impress. Great place
We arrived for our 5:30 resevation at 5:25 and was asked by the hostess to wait in the bar area for 5 mins until the kitchen opened, which we were happy to do. From the bar we watched other patrons walk in and get immiadately seated which confused my wife and I. Considering that this meal was to be our special Christmas Eve dinner, as well as show our 5 year old daughter where we celebrated getting married 10 years ago, we had high expectations for this evening. Come 5:45, we were still standing in the bar area, and by this time, at least 6 parties had been seated, with no actual reservations. I finally approached the hostess and asked if we would recieve quicker service if we simply sat at the bar for our dinner, in which she replied,
"Oh, are you ready to sit at your table?" Her response was infuriating to my wife and I, ruining any chance of having a good time or enjoying our meal.
Once our waiter approached our table, his inappropriate outfit of wearing a leotard with his genitals on full display and thong, just capped off the evening. The food for the most part was very good, but some dishes were over cooked. The Steak was very dry and the garlic shrimp was hard to keep down.
My wife and I have always enjoyed our years of meals and found memories at Cuchi Cuchi, but after this last experience, there's no reason for us to return.
A fun and eclectic little tapas restaurant.
Service was a bit slow and we were seated in a cramped little table in the back, but the food and drinks made up for it!
We had 12 plates to share among six guests and the quality and variety were excellent. Service was outstanding also. Thank you Sarah.
Out of this world! Everything was fantastic from food to decor to service :)
Loved everything about it! The food was delish, the waiter was very well versed in both the food and drink selection. And the drinks OMG they are amazing!! Can’t wait to go back.
Food and desserts were amazing passed my expectations. Service was amazing. Drinks were amazing. Overall great experience.
Celebrated a family birthday with 3 teenagers. Great spot in the Alcove - very private in an otherwise busy set-up. Food variety was excellent and all dishes were tasty. Big smiles all round.
First: great cooking. Food -- when it arrived -- was very good. Service was not. Waited over 20 minutes for first round of drinks, one of which was incorrect. I would have thought 4 was not too many to be remembered correctly. Served blamed the bartender being "backed up." One entree was also extraordinarily delayed. No explanation. Atmosphere is very loud with what I call "woo hoo" tables of shrieking folk. Go for the food, but be prepared.....
Insane! Sight, smell, taste, everything was perfect. The costumed (cabaret era) staff made the experience. Food was great, even decent vegetarian and pescetarian options. Garlic gambas was a standout. Cocktail selection was outstanding...something for everyone, or everything for someone.
Reasonably priced, reasonable portions, really great cocktails
The service was outstanding!
This is one of our favorite places! Great food, cocktails, and ambiance. It's our favorite date night place.
Fun atmosphere, great drink menu, food good, with nice variety of small plates. Unfortunately our server disappeared on us several times so the meal was poorly timed and took much longer than we wanted it to. I hope that is not typical for this restaurant.
We had a company holiday party at Cuchi Cuchi. The tapas style menu was great for our group of 8 - everyone ordered an item or two and we all got to share! Everything I had was delicious too!
A unique atmosphere that makes you feel like you’ve been transported to a new land beyond the busy city streets. Service was impeccable throughout the entire meal. The small plates are like a world tour through interesting cuisines, some with a new twist. The drink menu is very inspired and has something for everyone. Make sure that you do a prohibition-style shot at some point during your meal. Highly recommend.
Maybe they were having an off day, but our dining experience at Cuchi Cuchi was terrible. The food, which was mostly fried was either tasteless or just odd flavored. The sauces were sweet for savory dishes, just bizarre. The decor of the place is eclectic in a bad way. Looks like their decorator went on a yard sale shopping spree. The service was also bad. We didn't receive our drinks until the meal was half over. And to top it all off, it was about 90 degrees inside the dining room. We will not be back.
Great concept / 1920's era concept (restaurant staff costumes) combined with a great tasting / sharing menu (not tapas). Bar, drinks and scene are great.
It was an okay dining experience.
The best restaurant in town! We love Cuchi Cuchi so much! The food is excepcional, the service is the best I’ve seen around New England and the environment it’s so energetic and full of details. 💓
I love Cuchi Cuchi! The wait staff is so nice and accommodating and the food is always fabulous.
It was a great time
Ambiance was unique and fun! Food was delicious! Highly recommend.
Food was outstanding, varied and great for sharing. We had two kids with us and they loved it too.
