Our server Elijah was AMAZING!!!! He made our party so much better!!
Everything was excellent:
We went on a Friday and sat in lounge area. Cocktail was perfect, small bites of food were beautifully presented & music & mood was killer!
Great meal. Great appetizers. Great sangria. We really enjoyed the evening
Great location, perfect views and the food is a delicious are always !
Always a fave of my family.
Limited options and doesn’t taste like Cuban food
We got to the restaurant and were promptly seated! It did take a few minutes for our server to get to us but we didn’t mind. The food was delicious. It was my girlfriends birthday so I made a special request to write on the plate in chocolate, but when I ordered tres leches that didn’t happen. We also requested a song but the staff was busy and the wonderful hostess was able to sing to us BEAUTIFULLY!
Very authentic Cuban menu. Staff is very friendly. Cuban music sets the mood. Stylish decor and conveniently located on the Asbury Park Boardwalk. Great for people watching.
Great food and service. Good price point for what was included.
Will be back! Try the white wine mussels
Very good place!!
In front of the beach!!
Service was excellent. Food was not good.
Slower service, so don’t go if you’re in a hurry. Food is overpriced for what it is - flavorless and small portioned. Music and ambiance was great though.
They were out of bread and also plantains. Last 3 visits. Poor management
When we arrived for our reservation- the host sat us at a table that was not yet cleaned. She said they would be over to clean the table in a second... 8 minutes pass and we still sat with a dirty table and no menus. While we are waiting for our table to be cleaned, a large party of 8+ people are being kicked out of the restaurant. They were intoxicated and cursing /screaming slurs.
We asked the waitstaff for assistance and they cleaned the table and provided menus. When our server came to take our order, we made it easy and ordered our drinks, app and entrees at once because we saw the restaurant was busy.
After 5 minutes of placing our order, we receive our waters and our waiter comes back and says that the appetizer we ordered is out for the night. We chose another appetizer.
Appetizer comes out and 10 minutes pass and we still did not receive the drinks we had ordered. The waiter then came back and said they no longer have the wine and we had to pick a new one. We picked a new wine.
Food came out and it was good. Overall this was an extremely mediocre dining experience. Very unsatisfied and will not be coming back.
Good food. Service was excellent. Could use outdoor heaters.
Excellent Mojito and average taste for the food.
Good Cuban vibe and music but I would expect a more tasty food.
Overall good experience.
Went with a group of friends and it was great.
Service was very bad. Waiter was nice enough, but had not tried one of the entrees we asked about. Asked us for a drink order when we were barely seated. When we were finished he did not clear the plates. Food had been sub par at best. He dropped the check and then we sat with uncleared plates and with our credit card out for a very long time. The dining room was empty. Hostess walked by- no clearing of plates or taking our check. Finally another server picked up our credit card to run and cleared the plates. As we were leaving, our original server came up to us and asked us if we were all set. Our check was very expensive and the service was disinterested at best and the food was not great. The one saving grace was the other waiter. We tipped well just in case they pool their tips. Both my husband and I have worked in the food industry, so perhaps we have high standards, but this was not great considering how expensive our meal was.

The food was pretty good. The service was atrocious. Our server left in the middle of his shift, which happens, I understand. Not a single person came over to continue the service for our table or the other tables he was taking care of. We sat there for over an hour with no one checking on us. We finally got up and went inside to pay, angrily, and then left. Not good!
Service is always terrible, food was cold for a 12-noon brunch.
The waiter was fabulous as were the drinks, but the food was just mediocre. Shrimp had a very fishy smell, which means it was not fresh and the paella had no seasoning or taste to it. However I would try it again, I’m going to assume they are short handed and training new people because of Covid, and they were very busy which businesses are not ready for.
Food was slow to come out. Empanadas were flavorless, rice and beans were mushy and tasteless. Yucca was cold.
Horrible, will never go back!
Pollo y tortilla soup flavorful! Perfect start - sadly not completed before the shrimp arrived, flavorless, beautiful presentation just absolutely flavorless. An appetizer serving of mussels met every expectation and then some! A side of potatoes made for one half of the table to have a delicious experience and the other half f the table not so much...
We had a reservation fir 5 on Mother’s Day . We arrived on time and we’re seated right away . Service was slow but we didn’t mind the food was great and it was a holiday. The problem was when the check came the server said oh by the way we have no internet so we can only accept cash . After speaking to the manager we learned that it was down most of the day. It was now 7 pm. She suggested an ATM in the deli across the street. What choice did we have. But the Little ATM across the street was out of cash . So we had to go get the car to drive elsewhere to get cash.
We should have been told when we walked in. We could have run to the Bank then . Very bad. Not sure if I will go back 😕
Not authentic cuban food..Food lacked flavor... service was slow. Our waitress was good.. Music kept stopping. VERY expensive
The service is always very good - servers are attentive and helpful. The food is also delicious - I have had multiple meals (salmon, chicken, brisket, short ribs) and always very tasty! The red sangria is very good - not too sweet.
Small portions, cultural music too loud, good not excellent food.
The food is not authentic Cuban food - did not taste good. The sangria was delicious. I would not recommend the food if you want authentic Cuban cuisine. I would definitely recommend going solely for drinks. The ambience is beautiful. The service was good if you like the waitress and busboys constantly checking on you - every 15 minutes. I wish the food was better.
Wine tasted old. We didn’t even finish our salad and our food was out. The busers kept trying to clear our table before we were done with everything.
Lots of service workers looking to clear plates and help out- Food can be small portions but entrees are big enough to share
The food was awful! The staff were very friendly! The value was fair. I would never go back! It was not the same as the Cubican from Main Street.
Food was very good. Good service music was a little loud
Great afternoon outside watching the kites topped by fantastic food & service!
Great. Servers were all polite, food was delicious.
Hostess was young and horrible, overwhelmed. Ambiance was a level higher than cafeteria ... my friend had a steak that was very good. I had a salad ... and honestly the worste salad I’ve ever had.

Pretty expensive for what it is. Overall my steak was great, but the paella wasn’t too great.
