In the summer season, live music is available every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. We came here at 330 prior to a concert and ordered a bunch of appetizers and drinks. The food was delicious. The service was a little disruptive, taking water glasses instead of refilling and 4-5 different servers checking on us frequently, but the food was awesome.
Food was good. Service was horrid. Waitress never read us the specials and we were never served bread despite asking (other tables had a bread basket). Our entrees came out before we finished our appetizers. We had no dinner plates (we were all sharing). I have eaten here multiple times and this service was unacceptable.
Our waiter was terrific...quick with food/wine recommendations. My wife had the scallops. Perfectly cooked, very sweet and tasty dish. My paella was good, it great. Lacked flavor, especially the sausage and wings. Thighs would have added more depth to the dish. Overall, very good dining experience
I was running late. Host was friendly and told me she would hold my table. Server was very friendly. Pork was delicious.
Dined at Cubacan for the first time on a Saturday night. Made reservations. Hostess was busy but eventually lead us to our table. Skirt steak was fine. Chicken soup was one of the best I have had in a long time. Our server Adrian was outstanding. My wife and 2 friends all enjoyed their meal. We will be back.
Did not have the AC on and it was humid outside with the doors opened. Not a comfortable dinner that night. The lighting use to be darker at night. Tables and chairs were not cleaned or wiped down-sticky and dirty.
Great place. Service is excellent and the food is delicious.outdoor space is really comfortable. Indoor space is also comfortable.
waiters didn't know how to describe food and or drinks fully that were on the menu. Drinks didn't come out with food. Tables were dirty
Our initial impression -the hostess, was absolutely horrendous, she made no eye contact, didn’t look up from her phone once and then sat us at the wrong table and when we told her we had a bar reservation she rolled her eyes at me. A nearby waitress saw how shocked we were at the rudeness we had just encountered and saved the day, she brought us to a nice bar table and apologized profusely, thank god! The rest of our experience was great- good table service, good food and drinks!
The menu is not huge but a nice selections of both appetizers and main entries. Same for cocktail menu. Service was prompt and waiter very personable.
This restaurant was fine a few years back. I returned hoping to have a similar experience. The wait staff was inexperienced, the tables were dirty, the restrooms were a mess, and the food low rate. Food arrived dried up and burnt. It was obvious that management did not have a handle on the situation. Wait staff was also doing inappropriate bantering as we entered.
Food was excellent as usual! The service was just rough. Must have been all new people. Trying to take our plates away as we are chewing our food with our forks in our hand. The waitress asked if i wanted white or red Cabernet. I never write negative reviews. But this is a pricey menu, just expect better service.

I needed to modify my reservation because we were 6 in total so I had to call the restaurant directly. I was glad I did they were very accommodating. Everything that evening was great.
Definitely going back
It was a rookie staff. They need more training. The waiter couldn’t answer basic questions about the menu. Really!?! Not too much to ask. And ....NEVER...came back to ask if we wanted another cocktail—-which we desperately did!!!
Disappointed that we did not get our open table points because we sat at an outside table. Why are they allowed to do that? Service was so so. Food was pretty good.
We had a nice meal, food was tasty. Our apps came out quickly, but waited too long for the dinner to follow. Waiter was good, but seemed overwhelmed by his tables, we had to chase him down for another set of drinks, to see when our meal was coming, and for our bill.
Enjoyed our meals. Never been to a Cuban restaurant before. Great time.
Everything was great, food, music and ambiance was bery good! Had a really great time! Only complaint was the hostess! She initially told me that the restaurant was not taking any walk ins so I kindly left and made a reservation online (which there were plenty of reservations available) and re-entered the restaurant with my reservation number. The hostess then gave a dirty look and ignored me after being asked by her co-worker to seat my friend and I. She proceeded to seat a couple that came in right behind us. Although, it was ignorant, it was not at all necessary since I did nothing wrong. Other than that, I would totally recommend!

Sat outside at the boardwalk tables. Good was great! Service was a little slow, but we weren’t rushed, so it wasn’t a problem.
Unfortunately I would not recommend. The restaurant is dirty, in I’ll-repair. It needs to be cleaned everywhere. We ate indoors. The table felt dirty. The fake plant on the shelf at eye level by our booth was visibly covered in dust. Everywhere I looked I could see dust and webs. The floors were grimy too. Granted it is on the boardwalk and sand is expected but it was dirty. Just 2 short years ago, I enjoyed a very delicious meal and the ambiance was great. Much cleaner. If the restaurant is dirty where you can see, then what does it say about the kitchen where food is being prepared. I can’t imagine. The other side of the restaurant, the newer area is actually nice. I won’t be back any time soon. Even the waitresses need a refresher course on their job. There was a gentleman who came by every once in a while, he was very nice and picked up the slack by the waitress. He checked on our food as well which came right out when he went into the kitchen. The rice and beans were actually room temperature which meant the food was sitting in the kitchen for a while. Needs a really good scrubbing and maintenance plan.

Yes it was very good and the ambiance was nice. It was a little loud at times and the restaurant was full.
However, the Cuban band paying in the background sounded very good, the service was very good and we enjoyed the food. One of our party said the shrimp was very spicy. Other than that we had no complaints.

Our service was incredibly slow & frustrating. Server took way too much time to get our drink & food order & we had to ask for check & to ask again to pay the check. All around bummer...
Food was bland & unexciting...we are local & have many other places to go. Entire restaurant needs a reboot.

Food was good but overall experience was less than what we hoped for a nice night out. Service staff always seemed in a hurry making us feel rushed. The restaurant was not as clean as you’d want and had many flies in the area we were first seated in (we had to request a different table).

This place used to be better. The service is slow, and just ok food. It's a good place for a drink and some appetizers by the bar.

Food was GREAT at Cubacan as always. Although, I haven't been here in about 2 years, and the tables and chairs are starting to look very dated and beat up. The service this time could have been better, as the server NEVER checked to ensure we were good and then forgot to put in a to go order we requested.
The food was good, substituted yellow rice for white for $3 but I could’ve kept white rice and it would have been just as good. Enjoyed a bucket of rum. No non alcoholic beer for hubs which I could’ve sworn they had last time we were there.
Made reservation through Open Table but when we arrived they did not have a table available. Fortunately they were able to sit us outside without too long of a wait. Food was very good. I especially enjoyed the Esquite. Service was very slow and our waitress was NOT very attentive. Sangria was delicious, live music fabulous!
Sat down, ordered drinks. Waitress came to take order for appetizers..still no drinks. Appetizers arrive..still no drinks. Finished appetizers..drinks finally arrive.
Staff needs to learn dining etiquette. Won’t be back.

It was Our Anniversary and just wished they recognized the occasion other then that it was great overall!!!
We arrived to find no one at the host stand, even though the restaurant was at best 1/3 full (both inside and on the boardwalk); we were finally greeted about 4 minutes later. After we were seated, I noticed what seemed to be at least three hosts flouncing around doing who knows what, consulting or chatting with each other. We had one round of drinks and an appetizer, but it was nearly an hour after we arrived that our dinners finally came to the table, and it was even less busy then than when we first came in. No apologies were offered. One young man was bringing food to all the tables; I tipped him separately as he seemed to be the only member of staff doing much of anything. Heaven only knows what the place would be like if they were anywhere near full capacity.
As to the food, we went there because we were missing our favorite Caribbean restaurant (in DC) that had recently closed. Our appetizer was a scallop ceviche in a tasty citrus sauce, which went to waste because we were not provided any means of eating the sauce (a tiny bit did cling to the scallops). The rope vieja was tough, but my lechon asada was better. One wonders how this place stays in business with service like that.

I performed at the Stone Pony that Saturday Night and I was able to make reservations over my mobile phone and they served my party and I quickly and the food was great!
