Excellent Cuban food! The mojitos were some of the best I have ever had! Try to get a seat downstairs- great ambiance! Will definitely be back on our next visit to Greenwich Village!
Food was amazing like always
Way too loud! Food and service were good! Couldn’t talk to the person sitting next to me though.
We were visiting NYC from Philadelphia. We picked the Cuba restaurant at random based on online reviews. The food was really good. My granddaughter is a pescatarian and she eats salmon all the time. The salmon dish at Cuba was really a hit with her. She said it was the best she ever ate. My daughter got the Pollo Guajira ( chicken stuffed with plantains and cheese) and she was equally happy. I had the Solomillo de Cerdo, roasted pork tenderloin. It was tasty and moist. The green apple puree was a perfect companion. The location also great right off Washington Square. The only suggestion for improvement would be that the basement table was tight and the room noisy with so many diners. I'm not sure if the upstairs tables are better.
Great restaurant. Little bit of a wait but that was fine. Less than 5 minutes while a table was cleared. Food came fast and was delicious.
It's 108 decibels plus in there based on my app. Loud!
My first time there. It was excellent. brings me back to Cuba.
GREAT. Downstairs a better seat !
Had to wait 30 min with a reservation however the host and food and experience made up for it!
Great window seat. Very tight quarters. Very loud. A creative menu. However the four different dishes served at our table had one thing in common. Very little taste. I will most likely not go back. Our server had a bit of attitude. Needs to be more welcoming and friendly.
Seating is poorly managed.
I have tried a variety of dishes and they were all very good. It is rather on the pricey side but the portions are very generous and most importantly the quality and taste of food is great!
Dinner was fantastic like always and the mojitos were awesome.
Cuba is one our favorite spots. We love the food, the ambiance, and the cocktails. The host and servers are kind and attentive.
I love coming to this restaurant. I'm never disappointed by the food, service or ambiance. I highly recommend this place for a fun happy hour, romantic dinner, or delicious brunch!
Had the duck with mashed plantains and key lime cake for dessert - both were out of this world! My daughter loved her chicken with rice and plantain and molten lava cake for dessert. And the live music was authentic, lively, and perfect! Service was great, too!
I'm torn about reviewing this place: on the one hand, the food and cocktails are exceptionally good and the staff are friendly, on the other hand, I (very selfishly) don't want them to be too popular and packed. This place is sensational!
The empanadas....so good. Seriously. Their pollo con arroz is pretty fantastic. They put sweet plantains and avocado in it and it's just ridiculous. My only criticism is that their tables are stupid small. If you have 3 people and they have waters and order a drink each, you barely have anywhere to set a plate down. I get it, it's NYC but even for NYC their tables are ridiculously small, almost to the point of uncomfortably small. BUT you make do because the food is fantastic, the servers are attentive and the pineapple mojito is delish.
Great ambiance and service
Our visit to Cuba was absolutely perfect. The service was friendly, the food was tasty and the ambiance was just right for our date night. We will definitely return our next time in NYC.
Absolutely Superb! We came here to celebrate my girl friend's birthday & everything was outstanding.... the drinks, the food, the privacy we had & the service! Julio our server was very attentive and so friendly & professional---wé Love him! HE EVEN took photos for our group, he was Great.
My wife and I had a fabulous anniversary dinner at Cuba. Fun atmosphere, delicious and interesting appetizers, entrees and drinks.
It’s small, crowded and loud. The brunch drinks were bleh
This is one of my favorite restaurant a in Manhattan! The BEST mojitos around!
First time to Cuba and it was great. Authentic Cuban cuisine, great drinks and the service was impeccable.
Came for brunch with
Had a great time with good food and live Music. Met som great guests and staff !
Will be back! La noche estuvo buenísima // Ninni, Sweden
The place was very cozy with great live music. The staff were very nice, no waiting time. The food was so tasty. Would definitely return to try more food and drinks.
One if my most favorite spots. Great for a date or a night out with friends. Amazing food - as always. Never disappoints. Worth the drive from Brooklyn.
Amazing food! We got to ropa vieja and ceviche. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. The food came out fairly quickly too. The cocktails were strong and yummy as well. And the flan is a must try. Lovely experience overall. There was also live music which was a nice addition, but I think we got lucky with a table not close to them. We felt the music was too loud for the size of the restaurant and felt a little sorry for the people sitting right in front of it. I suggest either getting rid of tables around live music when it's on, or reducing the volume. Otherwise excellent spot for Cuban in the city
Great place to go and enjoy a good meal! I went with my boyfriend for my birthday and despite other reviews I had read it wasn’t too crowded. We had a late reservation so I’m hoping that helped. The drinks we very good! He had mojitos and I had the margarita Cubano. The appetizers were also very tasty. We did not have any of the entrees but I can safely assume since the appetizers were great the entrees will be too. This is definitely a place I would recommend and go back to again!! Things do add up quickly though so if you’re on a budget be mindful!
The food is exceptional, very tasty and delicious. Space is a little tight, but overall it’s a nice spot for friends and couples.
My Brazilian girlfriend says this Cuban restaurant has the best flan she ever had. That is a feat. Every dish was delicious and more than affordable.
Love the place! Frequent date night location and Tony really takes care of us!
Very good food, service was great, place is a little bit small but overall had a great experience and I will be returning with friends and family. Oh and the cigars were excellent.
I was on a date we to drive from Philly for dinner. This was our first time dining heree. However, were running late so we called and they gave us a 15 minute window. When we arrived they sat us quickly and we had a fantastic time. The ambiance was fabulous, the food was delicious , and the mucis. The server could improve on listing and slow his pace when taking orders.
OMG please whatever you do doNot order Churrasco, Vaca Frita, Pargo En Guayabera Horrible chewy crusty raw! Couple next to us returned their dinner twice! Go for drinks music empanadas but please your mouth, stomach will thank you if u eat dinner anywhere else.
sorry just not worth it! the chef needs to taste his/her food
The restaurant is very small and every inch of space is used. Tables need to be maneuvered in order to get into or out of one’s seats. There was a live band in the corner, inches away from diners. All of this can be good or bad depending on your mood. The place was packed and there was never an empty table. The food was good. We shared an order of empanadas as an appetizer and we each ordered a seafood entree - paella and the casserole - and a pitcher of sangria. The value was very good. Based on other reviews, we did not order dessert. Overall, it’s a good place to go to if you are in the neighborhood, but not a destination spot.
Second time at this authentic gem. Having traveled to Cuba, the vibe at "CUBA" took me back once again to a time in my vacation history that was quite memorable. I really like this place.
Wife and I were in town. We ate dinner and we loved it. Great place. Good food. Nice restaurant
