As usual food, service and drinks were great. They accommodated adding another customer after making reservations through Open Table would not. # kudos. We'll b back 4 sure!
We went on Mother’s Day. It has a nice ambiance with open, atrium like, dining room. For being Mother’s Day the place was not crowded, plenty of open seats. We ordered the tropical chips with 3 dips. Was good but not enough chips came with the dip. The waiter seemed to be rushing us and picked up the dips before we were finished. I had the Vaca Frita , the meat was tougher than beef jerky and super dry. My wife had the Cuban Sandwich, it was bland. The other two people in our party enjoyed their meals. I fell this place is priced for quality food but falls short
Always great eats, service very nice, keep coming back
Perfect date atmosphere
It’s always a pleasure to visit and the food is consistently good. Very authentic. I absolutely love the atmosphere. Can’t wait to return with my guy.
We celebrated my daughter's birthday at Cuba Libre this past weekend. Our waitress provided GREAT service!! I did add a note in the on line reservation advising we were celebrating a birthday and expected Happy Birthday to be sung but that did not happen. Not a big deal. Maybe they do not have the staff sing like other restaurants. No big deal since I'm sure my daughter did not want the song sang to her 🙂
The vibe is so fun and the food is incredible!
I went here for lunch with a friend and it was great in every way. The ambiance had a real Cuban feel. The service was great and attentive. They offer a wonder combination meal of various Cuban fare and it was all delicious. Looking forward to a return visit.
Our server was exceptional! The food and ambiance is consistently good. We dine here often and will continue to.
Good food and atmosphere. Our meal was served warm, not hot, but didn't want to complain about it and have it reheated. Overall good meal, would go back again but wouldn't be a top choice.
Food and drinks were absolutely amazing!!!
Night out with the girls. Great pomegranate mojitos
The seafood was flavorless and tasteless. The appetizers were good. Chef needs to add more spices to give food a better taste
Food was great!! I like the environment.
We've been to Cuba Libre several times for brunch. The brunch menu has changed so this time we went for an early dinner and once again thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The food is fantastic - Pineapple Cubana Guacamole is the best ever! The Spinach and Manchego Bunuelos were excellent. My husband had Mama Amelia's Empanadas for his main course and gave it a top rating. I had the Churrasco a la Cubano (skirt steak over a potato hash) and it was perfectly prepared and totally delicious. Banana Bread Caramelo with Cuban coffee topped it all off. I'd like to add that the service was also excellent. Rebekah was appropriately attentive. She knew details about the food and its preparation which provided a comfort to us in terms of what we would like to eat. Her recommendations were spot on and very much appreciated. We continue to rate the great food and excellent service at Cuba Libre at the very top of the choices of restaurants in Philadelphia and we will return!
The food and the service was great. Unfortunately, the bathroom was not clean and since it’s a unisex bathroom the seat was left up. I had to touch the seat to put it down. The bathroom made it a 4 star instead of a five star experience.
Really cool ambiance. Great service. The food was amazing. Every entree we tried was amazing. Recommend the pineapple guacamole, empanadas, crab croquettes, the vegetable paella, and the chicken!
Birthday was unforgettable. We will be back! Amazing food! Amazing atmosphere! No complaints!
Caught them on a bad night- very busy. They tried to get as many tables into a small space- we were pretty much sitting on top of each other. Food was delicious so make the night worth it.
Overall BEAUTIFUL atmosphere and experience. Drinks were delicious from coffee to mojitos. Some dishes were better than others. I would suggest asking what the waiter or waitress recommends on the menu or what is the freshest for that particular day. I would definitely return
Didn’t meet expectations. Wasn’t bad but not what I expected.
Apollo was Great waiter/server....Our first visit everything great and will not be our last Chef Entree is worth the price and drinks were magnificent.
Flavorful food, elaborate Cuban theme, good service.
Felt like I was in Cuba! The food was incredible; best black bean soup I’ve had in years! Great place
Great atmosphere, good food, amazing drinks. Our waiter disappeared mid-meal, and the menu is on the pricy side, but definitely a fun place.
Terrific! Just like Old Cuba. Great service, too.
Great food! Natalie, our waitress, was phenomenal as she explained all the dishes perfectly and helped us make great decisions. Great drinks and great food.
Birthday celebration for our sister.
Great experience! Beautiful restaurant!
our first time for brunch/lunch. only complaint is there should be no charge for bread!!!
Our food and waiter were amazing; the hostess not so much.
The food was excellent and the service was great. Cuba Libre is one of my favorite. Always good food.
Made a reservation for a time they were “no longer seating”
I don’t feel like the price we paid for our food was worth it, steak was underdone and the mash potatoes came out ice cold. By the time we received new mash potatoes we were already done with our meal. The dessert took forever to come out we actually thought our server forgot to put it in. For a first timer, I will not be back.
Unfortunately we were seated at a small 2 seat table in the back of restaurant next to a party of 14. We could not hear each other speak and it took quite awhile for waitress to come to our table as she was attending to the large party.
This is a great place to have a drink and split some plates. We brought my boyfriend's family here for his grandma's birthday and they brought her dessert totally unprompted! I know there's other restaurants around the country but it feels local when you're there. It always creates a space for good conversation!
Food was great, definitely worth going. I would dine here again.
We waited over half an hour to be seated even though we had reservations. It was very crowded which we understood but we were ready to leave and go to another place to eat. They did then seat us and comped our drinks and appetizers which we greatly appreciated.
Our waitress was amazing!! Super knowledgable and friendly. Have great recommendations. Food was delicious. We enjoyed a number of the appetizers— especially, the pineapple guac, tuna ceviche, and chicken tamale. Drinks were also great. My friend got the guava drink with the rum made from sugar cane. Amazing!!
Fabulous food and cool atmosphere, this was my first time at this Philly staple and I really loved it! Looking forward to returning before a show at the Arden. Drinks were particularly great.
