Worst meal of my life. Spent an absurd amount of money with such a low return. Would never go here ever again. Would not recommend to anyone. Wish I could go back in time and tell myself to not waste my money.
Most importantly the food was awesome. And the tres leches dessert was some of the best I've had. The atmosphere was laid back and low-key even for the middle of Old City on a Saturday night. I do have to say that the waite staff could have been more attentive. While we didn't need too much I at least want my water refilled without me asking when my glass has been empty for half the meal.
Every staff person we interacted with was so genuinely kind. The food was amazing. Our server was Alex, so awesome and on point with his recommendations. We can’t wait to visit again.
We have been to Cuba Libre several times. This was the first time that the service was spotty. Long wait at arrival. Long wait for coffee. No milk. No sugar each a wait, ergo, cold coffee
Picked a great time to go. The service was excellent. Very polite, very respectful and numerous employees said Happy Birthday to my fiancee because I left a cent in my reservations. Shows they communicate very well. The food came very fast and was perfectly cooked. Very delicious meal. A few check ins by our waitress, server and manager I presume, made the experience even better. I would definitely recommend anyone to try the Cuban food here at Cuba Libre
We came here on a whim due to their coupon for Arden theatre ticket holders. Wonderful meal!
The mojitos were delicious and so was the food. It was a great value for restaurant week.
I love Cuba Libre. Food is fire.
The fish stew was incredible! Great portion size, perfect service. We will be back!
Our server was great and the manager was quick at responding to us getting harassed by someone walking down the street while we sat at a window seat. We had such a great time we didn't want to leave and were the second to last table to leave.
The restaurant is beautiful and the waiter was very attentive. We had a lovely dinner and were completely stuffed after dessert.
We will be back. Great drinks, alcoholic & non. Service was great as always . One of our favorite locations to eat.
The food was delicious! The service was great!
Superb service. Fantastic drinks - the appetizers were replay nice we had fish for the main course - again - superb and desert - just amazing
Great place! I was visiting from Chicago and we were delighted to experience this establishment!
Excellent food & service!! Amazing ambience! We will be back again and again!!
Great food and environment. Relaxed dining expert with great service
The food for restaurant week was great! I'm just a big dessert person and would have liked more dessert options, overall it was amazing.
This is my second time at this place and it’s amazing! I love everything about Cuba Libre. The food is delusion with huge portions. The staff is amazing, friendly and attentive. And the drinks are out of this world. I highly recommend checking this place out.
Overall the food was ok. We have eaten at multiple locations including AC and the food here in Philly at this location was ok. The sever was awesome. We went during restaurant week. Ordered from the restaurant week menu and the one plate we got
was CUBAN TAMAL which was : Fresh corn masa filled with chicken, bell peppers and cachucha chiles. Roasted corn sauce.
It tasted a lot like fish and left a bad taste. We didn’t say anything but once we finished our meals we got sick and left quickly to go home. Maybe something in that dish was bad. Not sure
This place is all about FUN! The service was fast and friendly, the food was great and the ambiance was cheerful and entertaining. I've been wanting to go here for some time and it was well worth it. I will return!!!
Great restaurant with excellent food.
Escape the hustlin and bustlin of the city and step in to this amazing place with Old Cuba feelin'. Great music, great food, and great place!
First time here and my family and I loved everything about Cuba Libre. The service was excellent and never hurried. The curious menu was well-explained. But the presentations spoke for themselves as other diners' entrees passed us by. We each ordered the 3-course brunch which turned out to be an awesome deal including drinks, 2 small plates, and one large plate. Portions were extremely generous, fresh, and delicious. We enjoyed the plantain chips with guacamole dip, chicken empanadas, and aqua frescas to start. My main course was a fabulous breakfast sandwich of bacon, egg, and cheese. It was perfect. We'll definitely be back here for a repeat performance.
The food wasn’t that great which was a bit disappointing because my first time coming the food was phenomenal. I got the pollo y waffles but the mango salsa tasted fishy for some reason and the crabs Benedict was two crab cakes that were like 2.5 inches in diameter. The appetizers were yummy, the restaurant vibe was great and maybe it wad just an off day 🤷🏻♀️
Very interesting and fun ambiance, well developed menu, delicious food and drinks, professional service. We all had a very enjoyable evening there.
One of our favorite places in the city. We love the food & atmosphere! Looking forward to our next visit.
Crazy busy. Overpriced. Over worked waiters. Average food.
Wanted to try something new. Was not disappointed. Hostess showed us to upstairs bar, then recommended the best table in house. Food was amazing and waiter was so informative of menu. We ended up staying for drinks after and bar tenders were great. Anyone looking for an excellent dinner, great atmosphere, and in general an amazing time, I highly recommend Cuba Libre.
Wait staff was great. A little disappointed with the host station. There were reservations available on OpenTable, but the host showed none. they originally turned my party away. Quick thinking from one party member allowed us to reserve online.
Been dining here many years and I’m certain there was a rare misstep by the Chef this past Friday. The Service was GREAT, but the food was not up to the level we’d come to appreciate at Cuba Libre in Philly. We’ll try again though....
The waitress was very busy
Great food, service was average, we went for our anniversary, our table was in second floor aisle, too dark and noisy for my taste, requested to be moved but waiter said it was not possible. Unfortunately average night, could not enjoy the full place, but food was definitely good.
Food is not authentic Cuban it’s more of a mix of different Latin American/ soul food going on. But overall it’s okay
Great place. Every dish we ordered was excellent. Not your usual fare. Lovely restaurant also.
The brunch menu changed and there are now less options. The food was ok but not worth the price. Service and ambiance were great.
Super delicious food and huge portions for the main entrees, and sangria pitcher. A little pricey but worth it, and a good location. Definitely fun, would revisit for sure.
waitress was iffy, never introduced herself...took almost 20 minutes for her to greet us the first time...never even told us her name!!!!!! Food was amazing though:)
Loved the atmosphere and the service. great location. most of the food was very good, but my entree was just ok. the steak (vaca frita) was way overcooked and lacked flavor. I have never had that dish before so I am not sure how it should be. I had the chef's tasting, which was alot of food and great value for $45. The drinks at happy hour at the bar are a great price as well, but very pricey at the table.
