The food was excellent, the service was good. I would definitely return, there were too many things t0 try on the menu and what my wife and I split were both delicious.
Always good food and drinks. The server was very attentive.
Overall one of my fav restaurant in Philly.
Great food! Loved the tuna ceviche! Service was very slow for lunch unfortunately.
I wish the portions of the appetizers I ordered were a little bigger. But overall great flavor and great service.
One of my favorite restaurants in Philly. The food never disappoints and the service is always good.
Outstanding ambience.....our host Emmanuel was very friendly. The food was delicious. Loved it!....would definitely go back.
It was a very nice experience for everybody!
Food was good but didn’t meet expectations.
From the appetizers to dessert, everything was great. Never disappoints me.
Food was excellent. Empanadas are the absolute best! Service was a miss. Restaurant shut down at 9:30pm on a Thursday night. Music shut off, was not offered dessert, and got the feeling the staff was trying to kick us out. Doors were locked after we left at 10pm.
Consistently great food and great music, love stopping by when in Philly.
Very cool scenery. Empanadas were out this world. Steak was good. The best part was the bread of the table however, 11/10. Waiter was attentive. Positive experience. Would return and would recommend.
Great food and service!
This was a fun place to eat. It would be more fun in the warmer months with the front open, but at 25 degrees it was a warm welcome. The drinks were great and loved the food. Waiter was very attentive.
I told the waiter it was my girlfriends birthday expecting them to sing happy birthday and they did not . That was the only disappointment, food was good .
It was an entirely pleasant dining experience: the food and service were excellent and the noise level was mercifully low enough so we could conduct a normal conversation. That's getting to be an increasingly rare situation, but on this particular night in this particular restaurant we didn't have to shout at each other. Or perhaps Cuba Libre's architecture (that big open space) allows sound to dissipate more effectively. We'll definitely return.
We often go here as a family. We are always pleasantly surprised at how much the kids love it. It’s a super nice restaurant that I didn’t expect to be so accommodating for children. Mojitis are delicious, it’s easy to find delicious gluten free options, and the service is always great.
We enjoyed our NYE Dinner before the fireworks!
We had a wonderful meal and great atmosphere to ring in 2020!
Visiting for the Army-Navy game. Brunch for 5 cost $240 and the service and food were not very good. We know good Cuban food in Miami and this was not very good. The empanadas were good. Surprisingly the coffee was NOT!
Even the black beans and rice for our takeout order for dinner was small and just ok. The Vaca Frita did not come with a lime and had little flavor and zero onions.
The food here is excellent and the ambiance is perfect! Looking forward to coming back again soon.
Went there a few days on a business lunch and it was superb. Started with the avocado & crab, raw cubes tuna and a lobster app that was out of this world. My entree was chicken, rice, egg, chorizo & asparagus. What a party that was. My guests all opted for the chicken poi poi and loved each dish. The service was also stellar! The manager also stopped by several times and was warm, hospitable and sincere.
The food was great. Each of us had the Chef's tasting menu, which provided a great overview of the items available. There were no disappointments.
Unfortunately, the service was a bit lacking especially considering it was after 7pm on a Monday night and the restaurant was not overly busy. Drink refills were hard to come by even after asking and then trying to get our waitress' attention to remind her that we had asked for a refill and new drink was nearly impossible. The refill only came 40 minutes after asking for it when she finally came back to check on us and I reminded her I had asked for one. My friend gave up on getting a new drink at that point as we were almost finished with dessert.
However, I have been here many times and the service we experienced on this evening is not typical of the service here - it is usually friendly and attentive (but not overly so). The food is always good, if not great, and the prices are fair for the quality and portion size of the dishes.
I will return to this Restaurant. The seafood soup was excellent. Overall, the brunch was very good.
The food was okay. It's definitely a cool place to visit. But honestly the food was just okay.
I got their lunch special, which was four tapas-sized dishes - a soup, an appetizer, an entree and a dessert. All served at once, so you can get in and out. Everything was delicious, and I liked being able to try a few different things. The portion size was perfect for me. Try the black bean soup!
Food was mediocre lacking flavor-we ordered shrimp entree and short rib dish which was flavorless
So wouldn’t recommend
Mojitas lacked any kick as we were thinking alcohol was missing
So we were very disappointed
Love the food here. Had the CAFÉ CUBA LIBRE, with a side on rum... fantastic! One more time, fantastic!
I always return to Cuba Libre when spending time in town. Nicole was an excellent server and had great suggestions for our evening of dining. The grilled octopus wade squid item.
I got the wrong meal and had to wait 15 min for the correct meal to come out. They did not offer
to compensate us in any way.
Fantastic food and service as always.
The food was delicious! Rather dark inside, had to use cell to see menu. Fun atmosphere
Beautiful restaurant. Service was great and food was terrific.
It’s my favorite date night restaurant in the city.
As always the service was polite and attentive. The food was delicious. I was also impressed with the professionalism of the hosting team.
Thank y’all for a great evening, I’ll be back soon!
On the night we were there, we did experience a few issues - wobbly table, wrong drink, delayed order - and apparently, the kitchen was 'backed up.' That being said, we did get a complimentary drink, and the food was well worth the wait. Absolutely delicious! And our server, Steven, was so professional and friendly. I don't think this is typical of Cuba Libre, but this visit was not exactly what we hoped for.
Food was great. Only thing was that they only had the Brunch menu and not flexibility to order from the regular menu
Went before a performance at the Arden
Everything was great,& surprisingly reasonably priced
I have an Arden subscription,& plan to go prior to every performance
Worst meal of my life. Spent an absurd amount of money with such a low return. Would never go here ever again. Would not recommend to anyone. Wish I could go back in time and tell myself to not waste my money.
Most importantly the food was awesome. And the tres leches dessert was some of the best I've had. The atmosphere was laid back and low-key even for the middle of Old City on a Saturday night. I do have to say that the waite staff could have been more attentive. While we didn't need too much I at least want my water refilled without me asking when my glass has been empty for half the meal.
