This was our firs time having Cuban food together and I am absolutely blown away! I recently attended a brunch at Cuba Libre and had a great time, so when it was time to pick where we wanted to go for our anniversary dinner, I tapped Cuba Libre as our pick. To say we were pleased is an understatement. The food was fantastic, the cocktails were outstanding, and the service was top-notch (shout out to Ariel for making some great recommendations!). The ambiance is also really cool--it's decorated to look like you're dining alfresco on a street in Cuba. I absolutely LOVE the ambiance. We will definitely be back!! Just to note: when you make your reservation, bear in mind that Cuba Libre turns over to a club starting at 11pm, so if you like to take a while to dine, you'll want to make sure you grab one of the earlier reservations or make sure that you give yourself plenty of time to finish your meal if clubbing isn't your thing.

Very attentive and amazing service. All the staff were friendly. Food fell a little short and over priced in my opinion. I’m from NYC I understand food can get a little pricey, but i just wasn’t really impressed with our food. The “lobster” in my paella was the size of my pointer finger, tough and chewy. I couldn’t even get it out of the shell. The clams were size of dime. My skirt steak was at best mediocre. Asked for it medium rare and got it rare. On brighter note, drinks were superb. Best mojito I ever had. Strong and delicious. Overall a goodnight. I would be back probably for drinks !

Food was excellent. Empanadas are the absolute best! Service was a miss. Restaurant shut down at 9:30pm on a Thursday night. Music shut off, was not offered dessert, and got the feeling the staff was trying to kick us out. Doors were locked after we left at 10pm.

This was a fun place to eat. It would be more fun in the warmer months with the front open, but at 25 degrees it was a warm welcome. The drinks were great and loved the food. Waiter was very attentive.

It was an entirely pleasant dining experience: the food and service were excellent and the noise level was mercifully low enough so we could conduct a normal conversation. That's getting to be an increasingly rare situation, but on this particular night in this particular restaurant we didn't have to shout at each other. Or perhaps Cuba Libre's architecture (that big open space) allows sound to dissipate more effectively. We'll definitely return.

We often go here as a family. We are always pleasantly surprised at how much the kids love it. It’s a super nice restaurant that I didn’t expect to be so accommodating for children. Mojitis are delicious, it’s easy to find delicious gluten free options, and the service is always great.

Visiting for the Army-Navy game. Brunch for 5 cost $240 and the service and food were not very good. We know good Cuban food in Miami and this was not very good. The empanadas were good. Surprisingly the coffee was NOT! Even the black beans and rice for our takeout order for dinner was small and just ok. The Vaca Frita did not come with a lime and had little flavor and zero onions.

Went there a few days on a business lunch and it was superb. Started with the avocado & crab, raw cubes tuna and a lobster app that was out of this world. My entree was chicken, rice, egg, chorizo & asparagus. What a party that was. My guests all opted for the chicken poi poi and loved each dish. The service was also stellar! The manager also stopped by several times and was warm, hospitable and sincere.

The food was great. Each of us had the Chef's tasting menu, which provided a great overview of the items available. There were no disappointments. Unfortunately, the service was a bit lacking especially considering it was after 7pm on a Monday night and the restaurant was not overly busy. Drink refills were hard to come by even after asking and then trying to get our waitress' attention to remind her that we had asked for a refill and new drink was nearly impossible. The refill only came 40 minutes after asking for it when she finally came back to check on us and I reminded her I had asked for one. My friend gave up on getting a new drink at that point as we were almost finished with dessert. However, I have been here many times and the service we experienced on this evening is not typical of the service here - it is usually friendly and attentive (but not overly so). The food is always good, if not great, and the prices are fair for the quality and portion size of the dishes.

I got their lunch special, which was four tapas-sized dishes - a soup, an appetizer, an entree and a dessert. All served at once, so you can get in and out. Everything was delicious, and I liked being able to try a few different things. The portion size was perfect for me. Try the black bean soup!
