About Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar - Atlantic City
Passing through the doors of Cuba Libre in The Quarter at Tropicana Atlantic City transports guests to Havana, Cuba of the 1950s.

Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar - Atlantic City Ratings and Reviews
Our party of four had an amazing time! The food was really good, ordered the Plato Gaucho...little salty but it's Cuban food..what do you expect!!?! Our waiter was freindly and attentive giving that it was quite crowded. I would def go back and dine here again!
go to Cuba Libre every time we stay at Trop in AC. Hostess and servers are always friendly. Food is very good and service is excellent. Love their mojitos. I had the tasting menu, which my DH shared the appys and it was still too much food for us.
Cant wait to go again next month
It was my first time there. The food was great, the set up was nice, the music was great as well as the performers. The bartenders were friendly. The crowed was great (mixed crowed). The only negative thing I have to say was the service from the hostess and the waiter. The hostess' attitude was nasty and the water was rude and appeared to be rushing us out of our table. Besides that, it was an overall good experience.
I have been there many times to the club, but never for the restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised and impressed by their drink menu. Appetizers were amazing and the main entree was delicious. The waiter was very professional and was very courteous. I would definitely return and recommend to all.
Amazing food. It's was so great to finally find a Spanish restaurant that favored their rice and beans. Tasted very close to a real home cook meal from grandmas :) The place is huge and spacious. At night thy have a DJ and live band. You can dance off the meal. Love love loved it there!
My wife is from Puerto Rico and we both love Spanish food. This was unbelievable! Everything that came to our table, from the bread to desert, was incredible. Great food, great service. The atmosphere was romantic, the background music brought us to the Islands. We felt like we were eating outside in a courtyard in Cuba rather than deep within the Tropicana Hotel. Awesome dining experience.
I brought my mom for her birthday. Everything was good until at the end of the meal, we were rushed, our dinner table taking away so the latin dancing could begin. My mother was very upset this is the way she was treated on her birthday. It was a DISGRACE!!!
The food was okay, the mojitos is supposed to be there signature drinks but its okay as well. It was very sugary probably because of the guarpo which is sugar cane syrup. I also had a margarita, which the bartender didnt do very good. The place is beautiful the service was quick and good. I stayed for the nightlife, in which it turns to a club however the dj wasnt very good and made me wish i went some where else.
We go to Cuba Libre almost every time we are in AC. Decore is appealing and food is very good. They make great mojitos. We were greeted & seated immediately. It was a litle early for dinner(6PM) but we had show tx afterwards. Waitress came over to say hi & take our drink orders. She asked if we have any quest.about the menu, but we didnt. DH had a steak and mashed potatoes(his usual) & I had Paella Nuevo. This paella is a little different than I'm used to. It had mahi mahi, clams,a shrimp etc over a mixture of black beans and rice-it was very tasty.Would definately return
The food was wonderful but the service was lacking. We waited quite a long time before our drink order was taken. All courses too quite a bit of time. Our waiter was good but seemed to ignore our table most of the time.
I have been at this resturant on other occasions and will never sit in the upper section again.
My husband and I have eaten at Cuba Libre more than 10 times in the last 5 years. We love it, and we take our kids there once a year as a treat. This time, I was terribly disappointed with our service. We waited an hour to eat dinner (from the time we were seated until our dinner came). There were others around us who arrived later and were served before us. We came to the conclusion that our order was forgotten... Sadly, after all that wait, I didn't care for my dinner--it was much to spicy! But, the coffee & flan were delicious, and well worth waiting for!
The open table was great the only think I didnt like is they didnt specify that all your people on your party have to be present. The Hostess expected me to wait until the last person was there to be seated and I told her it was a maybe not for sure and she still want me to wait. I Have to tell her never mind that I wasnt going to wait until the last person show and she wasnt happy. They need to take classes on customer service.
