Cuba Libre Restaurant & Rum Bar - Atlantic City
The restaurant's brand new wood-burning grill and chef's counter greets guests upon entering, with wood-fired menu items to be enjoyed fireside at the 12-person counter, or from anywhere in the dining room. Guests will experience a true taste of Old Havana with James Beard Award-winning Chef-Partner's menu of classic and contemporary Cuban cuisine. There's something for everyone, ranging from simply-grilled meats and seafood, to Cuban classics like Ropa Vieja, Vaca Frita, Shrimp con Mojo, or the Grilled Vegetable Paella.
The atmosphere offers the unique combination of Latin warmth, flavor and splendor. One-of-a-kind millwork and architectural salvage help capture the essence of old Cuban architecture. Colorful exotic foliage and palm trees add to Cuba Libre's open-air, tropical ambiance.
Overall everything was great for the dining experience since it was our first time. We actually went back for the dancing and entertainment part and the music (DJ) was not good at all. Not only did we leave after one drink, others were leaving as well. Not good, you need a live DJ.
All was good. Service at end was slow only one waiter.
Wonderful food. Great ambiance in AC!
We enjoyed the ceviche and dinner, but the service was too fast. We were in and out in 45 minutes. We like to be a little more leisurely when we are dining out.
Birthday dinner and service was awesome!!
Our server was awesome! And the banana bread for dessert was out of this world. Would go back just for the banana bread.
Great food and service
Yet another delicious meal. So enjoyable.
Food was wonderful Entrees were brought before we were done with our appetizers. The server appeared to rush
The service. It really put a damper on the meal
We went for my daughters birthday and will definitely be back soon! Excellent food. Excellent service. Our first time, but definitely not our last.
Great food, seated in a back room which felt like a private dining room. We had a fabulous time with outstanding food!
I have been there many time food and service always great
Interesting decor, open area for service, food and servers were very good....
My wife had the paella and I had the Cuban sandwich. Both dishes were very good. The paella had a
We got the chef's tasting menu. $45 per person. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. Three only complaint I have was the $11 mojito. I thought the glass was on the small side and tasted water down. I got it so quickly I suspect it was pre-made.
Get a Mojito! And if you’re lucky enough, it will be served to you by Juan. One of the best Bartenders I’ve ever met... and I should know... Pittsburgh bartender, VP of USBGPGH, who wrote the book Pittsburgh Drinks.
Been at the Atlantic City location many times - it never fails to please! Unique menu with many tasty choices! Servers know their stuff and help you make great choices.... I will return soon.
Always enjoyable. The food is delicious. Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. Great upbeat atmosphere.
Fun place to eat, food was delicious!
Staff was very attentive and charming. Food was excellent. They made me feel comfortable dining solo.
First time trying Cuban food and I definitely would say tasty.
I made a reservations 30 mins before arriving. When we arrived to the restaurant we waited about 10-15mins to be sat down. Which is totally understandable due to the last minute reservations. Food and drinks was very good. The server informed us that if we showed the receipt at the front door we could come back at night for free admission. So we did, and was totally worth it. Nightlife at Cuba libre was great, a little difficult to order drinks due to the busy bartenders. Music was a variety of Latino and American. Ambience was great, lots of security which is also a plus in such a big location. Bathroom were clean as well!!! Totally recommend to anyone looking for good food and a great club to dance and enjoy music.
We’ve been dining here for many many years. Honestly the portions are getting smaller for the prices. This time my food wasn’t great and I didn’t feel well the rest of the evening and the next day, I’ve never had a bad meal there but this time just wasn’t pleasurable.
This is just a typical chain restaurant. It’s loud, and over priced. Good enough if you are looking for a TGIF or Chili’s experience. But, avoid the sangria. Terrible
Amazing service, drinks, and food. The atmosphere is so lively and fun. Can not wait to go back again!
Ended our weekend celebration for my best friends bachelorette at this wonderful restaurant! It was our first time eating there and we had a fabulous time!
I would not recommend anybody anymore to go there. You sat us upstairs by the lobby and it was 100°. We used to come there every other week and it was totally unacceptable Saturday night. I will not be coming back myself any longer. The poor waiter was working the entire section by himself and the service was also horrible
Lucky to get a reservation at a peak time on a summer Saturday! Host seated us in a quiet corner as requested. Our server was excellent and attentive, taking time to explain the menu and offerred alternatives/options to accommodate our party's allergies. The cocktails were inventive and authentic, the food was very good and tasty. We thought the menu was somewhat limited in selections, particularly healthy ones and specifically there were no fish options other than shellfish. Overall solid choice in overcrowded and over-rated AC - definitely a fun place for a large group!
Great time and great food
Very nice atmosphere i would definitely be returning soon
Service was the best! Unfortunately I don’t remember the waiter’s name but he was amazing!
Was there for my birthday on my honeymoon and we had a good time.
It was hard for me to pick something on the large menu, but I finally got the Churrasco Medium Well and it was perfect!
Me and my husband had the Ceviche Mixto and the Black Bean Soup for appetizers and they were both delicious!! Specially the ceviche!
I would be back to try the Paella! It was tempting!
Great ambiance, great start to a night out in Atlantic City, and good food. Chefs were very heavy on the scallions with everything so specify to leave those off your order if you are not a fan!
Food was very good waiter extremely knowledgeable on pairing food with drinks
Paella de mariscos delicious. It's a small size but if another entree is ordered you can share.
My husband and I always come to Cuba Libre, this is our first choice restaurant in Atlantic City. We celebrated our 3 year wedding anniversary, and the waiter handed us two complimentary glasses of champagne. The food is always great, never have any complaints. My favorite are the coconut fritters, and the beef and chicken empanadas. The mango butter is out of this world. If I could give this restaurant more than 5 stars, I definitely would !!
A fabulous restaurant my wife & I enjoyed a. great dinner and service was impeccable
An overall good experience at every turn. Only mistake was on my part, picking restaurant seating over kitchen counter but our server made up for that. They nailed the food. Banana bread dessert is an outrageous ending. It’s loud and $$$ is average to a little less then a standard priced casino meal
Amazing place to celebrate our anniversary. They gave us a complementary glasses of champagne which was very nice. The food and service was amazing. Came from Massachusetts to try this place and we were very pleased. We will most definitely be back soon!
Excellent and friendly service. Prices have definitely increased recently but worth it for a special occasion.
