   Always enjoy this Sarasota gem! The Cuban food is the best this side of Cuba from the Cuba Bowl with pulled pork to the delicious pork sandwich. The black bean soup, the salads with grilled chicken and the plantains were all excellent. Service by Darnier P was also exceptional. Bravo Cuba 1958.

   Our first time at Cuba 1958 was an excellent experience. The three of us had Lechón Asado, Masas de puerco and Milanesa de pollo. Each of them was carefully prepared and presented giving us a flavorful and enjoyable dinner. The servings were rather large and we ended up taking a portion home to enjoy again. The only less than optimal part of the dinner was our table on the patio that was too warm without any fresh air. Ceiling fans would help!

   Excellent food and service and ambiance. The staff was friendly and the lechon asado was delicious

   Food and cocktails were very good. Service was amongst the best. Very popular restaurant. Their slow roasted pork was very tender but lack flavor. Try the skirt steak as it is much better.

   Food was good but, too expensive. I lived in Miami for 12 years and ate at the best Cuban restaurants, never paid that kind of money. Way overpriced !

   This is the friendliest restaurant in Sarasota. The staff is wonderful from the bar to the table you will experience wonderful creative bar and authentic Cuban fare. Get ready for a fun time at 1958.

   Food was good but service was lacking. Had to ask for water after getting our food. Took forever to get someone to come to our table. Strangest thing was getting a call after we left the restaurant stating we missed our reservation and she couldn’t hold our reservation any longer. Hello!! We just left!

   We had wonderful a meal at Cuba 1958. We were there on a Friday evening, had excellent service and the food was great. Our meals ranged from paella, fried pork, bistec de palomilla…all delicious! The manager/owner were very friendly and wanted to ensure we enjoyed ourselves. They mentioned there is live music on thursdays and there is a cute patio out back with limited seating as well.
