   This was our first time at Cuba 1958 and we enjoyed our dinner. It was a late reservation for us (8:45 pm) and there were people still dining and more showed up while we were there. The food was very good and there were reasonably priced choices. Loved the Cuban specialties and I look forward to trying more of them in our next visit.

   Food was delicious. Ceviche so fresh and tasty and the ropa vieja was so flavorful with a great and balanced use of spices. Service was spot on!! Thanks for a wonderful meal and experience.

   First, and always foremost, I’d like to note how great the service and staff were. They very helpful, and very friendly. It was a very quiet night, but they were very attentive. There were a few missteps (I asked for a chicken and beef empanada, and only got beef), but generally, the staff was on point. Sadly, I can’t say that the food was as good. It is a very ambitious menu, that promises an exciting dinner. However, things just weren’t fantastic. My paella (one of the most expensive dishes on the menu.) was only so-so. The fish was plainly overcooked. And disappointingly there was no socarrat. The rice was also overcooked, and actually had relatively little flavor. The basket of bread delivered to the table was kind of stale.  One high point of the meal, however, were the churros at the end, which tasted fresh, crispy and hot with a wonderful chocolate for dipping. I’m likely to give Cuba 1958 another try, if only because the menu is so interesting. However, right now, I can only recommend it with reservations.

   The food here is unbelievably authentic and you can taste the passion and effort the chefs at Cuba 1958 put into their cuisine. Everything we ordered was 10/10 delicious and we will 100% be back to experience another delicious entree that the chefs have crafted.

   Always enjoy this Sarasota gem! The Cuban food is the best this side of Cuba from the Cuba Bowl with pulled pork to the delicious pork sandwich. The black bean soup, the salads with grilled chicken and the plantains were all excellent. Service by Darnier P was also exceptional. Bravo Cuba 1958.

   Our first time at Cuba 1958 was an excellent experience. The three of us had Lechón Asado, Masas de puerco and Milanesa de pollo. Each of them was carefully prepared and presented giving us a flavorful and enjoyable dinner. The servings were rather large and we ended up taking a portion home to enjoy again. The only less than optimal part of the dinner was our table on the patio that was too warm without any fresh air. Ceiling fans would help!

    Food and cocktails were very good. Service was amongst the best. Very popular restaurant. Their slow roasted pork was very tender but lack flavor. Try the skirt steak as it is much better.
