We had another wonderful evening and meal at Crystal Bay Steak House. We had the filet minon and a scallop entree and both were beautifully plated and perfectly cooked. Our server, Crystal also presented us with a new appetizer plate that we thoroughly enjoyed and hope she gets a raise for! It was a board of small tastings made up with ingredients in their main entrees - really perfect and gave us an idea of some other entrees we'd like to try in the future. Service was impeccible - it's our favorite restaurant and one we will definitely be back to.

So bummed that this place has changed. We’ve been here 4 times and this time was different. Maybe different owners? Our appetizer came out after our food and our food tasted like nothing. We had the filet and sea bass. So much history here they just need to get a hood chef.

We very much enjoyed my husband's birthday dinner. They have a great menu and wine list, and nice cocktails. Service was excellent, although they appear to be understaffed. Our waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable. Most businesses are these days, including my own. My scallops with risotto were amazing and perfectly cooked. My husband had stuffed chicken, that would have been good had it not been over cooked. I'll return and I know they'll get it right. We're all still recovering from the pandemic.

We have been eating at the Crystal Bay club since the mid 80’s. The food quality has always been spectacular. This is an old fashioned steak house with high back booths. You can enjoy a conversation with everyone at the table. Not loud like most restaurants. Will continue to include this place in our dining experiences for the North Tahoe area.

We had not been here for dinner for years. We heard there was a new new chef and revised menu. We were delighted with both! The atmosphere is iconic and the staff is friendly too. I would encourage a visit!!!

Service was disappointingly slow. When they finally took our drink order, the waitress was curt and ignored our attempt to make conversation. Food took forever to come out, although the appetizers were excellent (Lobster Mac & Cheese and a Caesar Salad). They seated, served, and turned 6 other tables before bringing our entrees. Took us 2 hours to receive our entrees - my steak was overcooked and over-charred. As a result, we missed part of the concert. Sadly, would not recommend due to poor service.

Went to Crystal Bay Steak and Lobster and had the Valentine's Day Special for two. Great service, wonderful room, very pretty, but the seafood tower was a little lacking. No sides, just one lobster tail, 4 each of shrimp, oysters, clams (dry), mussels (dry) and I think that's it. Came with a salad which was tasty, and a large piece of chocolate cake to share. For $120 for two people we hate to say we were a little disappointed because we wanted to love it. Maybe next time we'll get the steak :)

They were so far behind in service. We waited 30 minutes to be seated for our 8:00 reservation. No one ever acknowledged us. No water. No cocktails. No menu. I ended up going across the casino to get drinks from the Red Room. Waited another 30-40 minutes- thinking just give them 5 more minutes and someone will acknowledge us… nothing!

The food was poorly prepared, the crab cakes were over salted and over cooked , almost burned. The scallops were also over salted and over cooked as well. The filet mignon was cooked to a nice medium but like everything else it had way too much salt and ruined the dish. All the sides had too much salt too The poor bartender had to do 4 jobs, she was bartending, platings hostess, and being the waiter and busser

We have been going to CBC Steakhouse for more than 16 years and it is our personal favorite. Always great food, cocktails and service. James was our waiter on New Years Eve and he is a personal favorite of ours! We were so glad to see him back on the restaurant floor. Whether you want a full course meal or just a few appetizers and a glass of wine CBC will satisfy!

The food was low/poor quality. We had the steak, which was the better of the meals. The salmon was so light in color (probably farmed and not wild) and the pasta w it was flavorless. Served luke warm. The Caesar salad was way over dressed and was not a well made dressing. Tasted like oil and mustard. The dessert raspberry cheesecake was a joke. The prices are very high for low quality.

This “Stroll Thru France 🇫🇷 Wine Dinner” was lovely. The special menu of 5 courses and dessert looked like more than one could eat, but the size of each portion was very nice… small. We loved all of the foods and wines. Looking forward to more of these special dinners.
