Ate at Crudo Saturday night. It was good. No real complaints, other than maybe a little slow. 1:45 for two people, and the couple next to us, who came in after us, got their first two courses after us, but got their last two courses five minutes before us. I wasn’t keeping score, but when they’re 3ft from you, it’s kinda hard not to notice.
As I said, the food was good. But we live in PA and spend maybe 3 weeks per year in Phx, so we only have so many opportunities to eat out in Phx. It used to be good enough to warrant a visit each trip. Now I feel like there are plenty of places to spend $200 and get just as good, if not better, of an experience.
A quaint place that feels quite southern. Has a nice small outdoor seating area and quite an interesting and non-typical menu. We sampled a variety of items. Top of our list was the pig’s ears and bone marrow followed closely by the pasta dishes. Honestly the albacore and the shrimp were neither of our favs but just not in our taste preference. Tapas style portions with excellent service and a nice wine menu. We’ll certainly go back. It is really an interesting experience in dining.
Very friendly server, creative choices for tasting menu; 4 of us ordered 3 or 4 items and every dish was great. Awesome cocktails and super engaging bartender. Would definitely go back.
Our grandson probably hurried us a bit, but service and pacing were still good. Food was delicious for all.
This restaurant is a great example of how to use snout to tail successfully. We snacked on pig’s ears while perusing the menu. We opted for the three course tour and started with yellow tail tuna and burrata with pancetta vinaigrette, both were excellent. Our second course was seafood risotto (reviewed by my husband as just ok) and bone marrow for me. Main events were lamb belly (deelish) and Seabass on a bed of lentils and green (maybe too many lentils for the dish??) , both were very good.
Overall the meal was fabulous. I am scoring a four as there was loud acid rock blaring from the time we arrived to when we left. When we asked about the music selection we were told that the first person in choses the music channel for the night. The music diid not suit the dining experience. I would recommend this venue if you are looking for edgy creative cuisine that is deliciously prepared. If this is your thing you will love it!!
Excellent. Thank you.
Crudo has been one of my favorite restaurants in the phoenix area for YEARS.
I love the food, the mixologists and ALWAYS buy the kitchen a glass of wine.
Crudo is a treasure.
There was excellent food and wine as part of the Wednesday night polenta plate. Every time we've gone it has been terrific.
With the exception of one very amateur server... It was a delightful evening with great food and a good waiter. Pretty consistent in that way
This place was amazing! We came here for my girlfriend’s birthday and it was even better than we anticipated. We have recommended it to all of our family and friends and will definitely be returning! Thank you for making it such an amazing experience!
Food, cocktails, and service are phenomenal. We did the group polenta board and a couple of sides, and it was all wonderful.
Love this place. Great cocktails. The food is outstanding.
In Phoenix from Chicago and made a dinner reservation at Crudo. The food was fantastic! We selected an outdoor seat and as the sun set the chef came out and started a fire in the fireplace. Very nice!
We ate ar Crudo almost 5 years ago, and did not have a good experience. We never got back, until last Friday nite, but had been interested in giving it a second chance. Well, I'm glad we came back. The food was great. The service was great. It was a cool place. All the dishes we had were really exceptional, an though it's a little pricey, the quality is high. We will be back soon!
Crudo is our favorite restaurant, though we hadn't been in a while. The menu has changed a bit, but the food is still delicious. We will go back soon.
Went with a little bit of trepidation due to some negative reviews. Were pleasantly surprised. Our server was knowledgeable and answered our myriad questions about the menu. Everything we ordered was tasty and well presented. We will definitely return the next time we get to Phoenix!
Have always loved Crudo, but this was the first experience dining in the bar. The food was exceptional, as it is on almost every dish on every visit. The service in the bar, although both friendly and knowledgeable, did not reach the same level of attention you receive in the restaurant. But overall, it was a fabulous experience, with incredibly delicious and inventive food.
Every dish was amaZing. The 3 course meal for $40 per person was perfect (plus dessert and the pig ears)
Great drinks food and service
I’ve been to crudo once prior and absolutely loved it, so I was very excited to bring my partner here for his birthday. Sadly the food was very disappointed. The market fish was over cooked, and actually burnt on the bottom, my risotto with mussels and clams actually lacked any mussels or clams. The yellowtail sashimi was good but the sea bass didn’t seem fresh. Overall much of the food cake out really oily and overly salted. Disappointed to say I won’t go back.
It was a disappointment. My husband and I asked to be seated on the patio and the table had food and grease on it. The menu has lots of raw fish which isn't our cup of tea. We selected the 3 course menu which was served in something that looked like soup bowls. No wonderful presentation. Our selections....all of them were too rich and heavy. My husband is a big eater and he was full after 2 of them. We can't imagine diner selecting 5 courses. We had our 3rd course boxed so that we could take it home with us. Our server was Tiffany and she was very attentive. Our server and the patio were the only two things we liked about the restaurant. We will not return.
Our reservation for 2 was set for 8:00. After checking in every 15 minutes, we told them we would just take a seat in the (not full) bar area. 10 minutes later, someone finally came to our table with water and to take drink orders. Awful service, and the food didn’t live up to its sterling reputation. Turned into a very poor experience for my wife’s birthday.
Exceptional food and wonderful service. Bathrooms need an update.
Our server was a little “snooty” at first but warmed up
Unusual menu items were right up my alley. The tasting menu allowed me try many options and none disappointed.
The food and the service was outstanding! Our server was able to easily explain the menu and all of the options, made great suggestions. Our third visit and we will return.
A little cold inside. Food was a oittle overpriced BUT delicious!!!
The food at Crudo is always excellent with creative seasonal ingredients. Friendly, attentive service make for a perfect date night!
I've been dining here for years now. It's been a little while since I've been able to make it in and it was still fantastic. Chef Cullen's food knocks it of the park every time. A must try place in Arcadia...
The ahi tuna was delish! Restaurant is small but very cute. The gnocchi is on the heavier side and the tiramisu perfect was very creamy but not overwhelming (if you do not like lemon it is not your choice). I would like to go back to try more of their raw plates.
We chose Crudo for a fun New Year's Eve dinner - There were 6 of us and we got our own little alcove in the restaurant. We felt so special! The cocktails are FANTASTIC - some of the best in the valley and they have an extensive wine list. We each did the four course option and it far exceed our expectations - The portions were huge and the food was phenomenal. This is a neighborhood gem, perfect for a date or celebration, and we will be back!
We went to Crudo about 2 years ago and thought it was one of the best restaurants we had ever been too. We went back for NYE this year for that reason, but we were seriously disappointed. The menu had completely changed and the selections were bizarre. Nothing sounded good and when it came, it was even more bizarre. The risotto was soupy and flavorless and the gnocchi didn’t even sort of resemble gnocchi. We both ended up getting sick after the meal as well. I don’t know what happened to this place in the last 2 years, but we won’t be returning there.
The pigs ears was the best dish I ate all year! The rest of the dishes were very good as well,
An inventive creative chef. Utterly exquisite service.
Enjoy their adventurous take on Italian food. Pretty unique menu, nice wine list. Recommend highly.
The Wednesday night polenta special is an excellent deal, and delicious!
True gem! Yummy food. Wonderful ambience. Great happy hour. New fave.
Loved trying new food. The ahi blew my mind. Lauren was very knowledgeable and informative. I will be back soon
Creative food with a lot of taste in relaxed ambiance. Very good service.
The table next to us was very loud and obnoxious. Two good items were exceptional but two others were mediocre, one was cold and one tasted odd.
