CRÚ Food & Wine Bar - The Domain
Cru A Wine Bar at The Domain serves brunch as well. Some of the items on the brunch menu at the eatery include crab cake benedict, steak & eggs, BLT pizza & fried chicken and waffles. Dessert options include chocolate fondue and chocolate lava cake.
Great food, slow and poor service for a half filled restaurant. Pregnant wife’s water took forever for refills. Dishes stayed on the table so long that a different server came and took them while also apologizing. But the food was great. Just the service quality you would expect from a restaurant like this wasn’t nearly where it should be. With the amount of high end restaurants in ATX we definitely wont be returning.
Everything was good except the bathrooms were very dirty . The service wasn’t great and it just seemed a little dirty .
For a spot that was not busy at all for Happy Hour they shouldn’t have been out of almost everything we wanted from the HH menu and we should have gotten much more attention. I got water after being seated about 15 mins later. Once we ordered we basically were never asked if we needed anything else to eat or drink, so we called it done and went to the restaurant across from Cru to get more wine and better service. I had not been to that location in awhile and now remember why.
I was super grateful that Cru was able to accommodate me and my puppy on their outdoor patio with a heater on a chilly January day!
Absolutely delicious. Love the wine flights and service is spot on.
I wasn't blown away by the salmon, and please, get an espresso machine.
Despite these we had a wonderful evening. Nice place, will come back.
We went for their New Year's Eve pre-set menu. It was great food and a well paced meal. Ambiance was festive. It took awhile for our waitress to address us initally - but the hostess appologized and we were taken care of well after that. For a pre-fixed occassion the selection and portions were great. Everyone loved what they chose and we got fun party hats and noise makers!
Went for our 14th wedding anniversary and new year's eve. We were promptly seated...but the door was left open all evening - and it was quite a cold night to do this. Our waiter was horrible. We never received our amuse bouche. He took forever to bring anything and everything. He brought the wrong wine flight. I alerted him to this before my husband's was brought and we still didn't get the one ordered. He was MIA the majority of the meal. The front of the house manager/hostess was very helpful - but did bring my meal to the table before the shaved black truffles were added. Chef quickly rushed out and topped off my delicious sea bass before I even noticed. The food was lovely, but the overall experience really left us disappointed. We don't have any desire to go back. We will head over to Vino Vino the next time we want a delicious, romantic meal with a wonderful flight of wine.
We came here for an early dinner to celebrate our anniversary. I loved the atmosphere and the service was very good as well. We opted for apps and wine. The wine selection was excellent and they offer various flights, which were included in their Happy Hour. We had the goat cheese beignets (excellent), the house salad (very good) and the margherita pizza (good but a little bland). I would come back and next time try outdoor seating.
Dodd was a great waiter. Really enjoyed my dining experience. He guided us through several food and wine choices...I took all of his suggestions. It was a great experience. Thoroughly enjoyed my belated birthday. Thank you Dodd! We’ll be back!
My family and I ate here for Christmas Eve dinner. It was a fixed price menu. However the food and service were outstanding. We all enjoyed our choices and would definitely go back.
We visited for thanksgiving. Noisy. Small tables. Appetizers were just luke warm. Turkey was exceptionally salty. And not hot. Barely warm. Veggies were hard. Two of the desserts were good. Didn’t care for the pie which had a very strong clove flavor. No one ever asked if we wanted coffee with dessert. We will pass on returning.
Nice change of pace for Thanksgiving, with various menu options, including the traditional turkey and dressing, plus other options as well. Also enjoyed half price champagne, and appreciated the service as well.
Your new server from NY gave us excellent wine recommendations. We will be back!
Cru’s service was below average. The waitress was not very attentive.
There was construction going on and it was extremely loud and was hard to hear each other talking (even at a higher volume).
It was a cold rainy day and he heat in the restaurant was not on and was very chilly inside.
