Crow's Nest Beach Bar & Grille
Great casual dining venue. Waitress was attentive, food came out before expected, hot and delicious. Price is moderate, about right for Captiva Island. Staff was friendly. A band came in and set up while we ate and we got to enjoy a few tunes before we left. Restaurant is spacious and has a lovely view of the gulf. We watched the sunset from our window table. Fun dinner out for friends or family.
Cool relaxed atmosphere with live music.
Try to gets table next to the window to catch a glimpse of the assume sunset😊
Excellent view of the sunsets, very good food served quickly. Staff was very pleasant and attentive. Great value for such a beautiful location.
Good food and service. Not a great ambiance for a couple’s night out.
We loved seeing the Gatlins perform their music; they are true entertainers and sing a mean Lady Gaga Bradley Cooper duet! Wow. Don’t miss them if you can get to a show. Wonderful shrimp and grits here and the service was excellent. We would come back in the same week!
Nice place, friendly waitress and staff. Nice location.
It was like a nice diner type of ambience. We would have left if it wasn’t for our kids being so hungry. Overall just not a well run place. Very unorganized. Our waiter, Ty was pleasant enough, but he was overwhelmed and kept making mistakes. The food was pretty awful for the price. This place needs a makeover by someone who knows what they are doing.
Our food was cold as hell! Had to flag down the server to get it remade. Everyone seemed too busy for us.
Good. would go back. if there again.
I’ve had The sushi 2 nights in a row both times very good. The night was a bit crazy because it was Crab Racing Night and we were there at 6 pm. We got the last 2 seats at the bar and despite the huge crowd we were served quickly. Fun night.
Best thing was that they take reservations. Great if you have kids. Fireplace made a rainy night very cozy. Food was good but not extraordinary.
Food was good and margaritas were super yummy. Note the adult crab racing requires you to be 18 or older although not stated anywhere - I assumed my high school kids would be fine as heck they listen to rap music so how “adult” could this be - but they were basically kicked out once racing started. Turns out there wasn’t anything offensive except the rudeness of the guy running the crab races. It was entertaining but not sure I’d go back for the crab race unless I was totally bored. Food and drinks were good and well priced for captiva.
Nice sunset. Food ok- service good. One of the few places on Captiva that takes reservations
We seem to always have a great time. The employees are so nice especially your hostess . Good food we enjoy that we can get a round table when you have a bigger group it’s nice we can all talk together. Like that you take reservations. Parking can be challenging.
Recommend for sunset. Prices were steeper than in the past. Disappointed with no Happy Hour. Parking difficult and a deterrent for return. Will go further into Csptiva.
Great and helpful staff, food was amazing and fresh. Perfect spot to watch the sunset
Lovely location. Walked across the road to the beach. The sun was setting and only a couple of other people on the beach. Quiet and peaceful. Walked around the property to the bay side. The whole area was beautiful.
Had a wonderful dining experience. We were staying at the hotel and thought we’d eat at the Crow’s Nest. Food was very good. Service was great. Definitely worth the trip from St. Augustine.
As usual we had a great experience. Even though the menu is limited The food choices are good. We always get the round table which makes our dining experience fun being able to talk to our friends across from each other.
Delicious dishes served by a server who was knowledgeable and went out of his way to accommodate gluten sensitivity concerns.
It was a rather sleepyb place for a Saturday night especially when they had live music. Would’ve given service five stars since Moni was so great but The busing staff mistakenly threw away my ribeye steak which I asked to be doggy bag. By the way it was delicious, but I would tecommend the sauce be on the side, and large portions which is why I only ate half.
Great place to go!!
The food was great, and it was fun watching the crab race!
The Crow's Nest is a favorite for good food and entertainment on Captiva Island.
Spent 3 days at Tween Waters Inn where the Crows Nest is located. Lots of fun and great food.
We had an enjoyable meal at Crows Nest. Food was good and a good value. Staff was attentive yet not overbearing.
My husband and Mother had rib eyes (both said were excellent). I had the broiled seafood platter - all were great, but the asparagus was overcooked. Disappointed that on the reservation it was marked as a Birthday dinner and nothing was mentioned by anyone. Service was great.
Excellent food! Attentive but not annoying service. Overall great experience.
The food was great, I had the Crows nest salad with grilled chicken. My husband had the grouper sandwich. Both were delicious. The Ambiance will be better after the renovation is complete.
Crow’s Nest was a great choice since we stayed the night at Tween Waters. Very convenient, walking to the restaurant from our room.
Food was excellent! We both split a salad, followed by the seafood boil, which was incredible!
The drinks were also very good, a large pour!
Would highly recommend!
Went there because we have passed this place for years and decided to try. . The place is a bar and I’m sure it’s a fun place to drink but food not so good. We started out with fried grouper bits. They were drenched in oil and tasted like oil. Menu was very limited due to construction in their other restaurant. We ordered burgers. They were good for what I believe was a previously frozen pre made patty. The hostess was very friendly and nice. I wouldn’t eat there again.
We were there for dinner and the songwriters Festival with live music starting at 7:15.
Dinner was very good. I had grouper sandwich w red rice and beans and spouse had shrimp and grits. Both were delicious . Our table was in a great view of the stage . Totally enjoyed the evening here
Would have loved to have heard some nice dance music. Only heard slow sad songs.
We visit Sanibel and Captiva every year and we always make one of our meals at The Crows Nest!! Always fun and the food is consistently good as is the service.
The crab races we're sooo much fun!
Food is really good. Atmosphere is mediocre at best. Expected a little nicer place for an island like Captiva. Really really enjoyed our food though!
This place should have told us that we were reserving a table for adult potty mouth night. We were there with our kids for dinner on crab racing night and the MC was using f-bombs and other cuss words while we ate dinner for my husband's birthday. Very inappropriate. If we had been advised of this we would have gone elsewhere. Food and services was good though.
Nice little place to eat with some ocean views. Service was outstanding, both times we went there. Ribeye was delicious. The desserts was just ok. Enjoyable experience.
Great service, good food, and crab races, what more could you want???
The drinks were good. Waiter was great, but the calamari tasted like it was frozen. So we didn't stay for dinner.
