We enjoyed a lovely Easter Brunch at Crown Landing. The food was tasty, there was a good assortment, and the omelet bar was great. We were surprised to find that our mimosas were not included in the price of the brunch nor was parking (though it was discounted)
Best meal of my life. Executive chef Chris makes otherworldly food worthy of a Michelin star! It was my birthday and the attentive staff made every attempt possible to make my visit memorable. From the opening appetizers of oysters to the grand finale steak - everything was cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend the rum punch as a drink accompaniment and received at the end a rhubarb cheesonceecake for dessert which I could say would be the best I ever had. Thank you Crown Landing for a in a lifetime experience! Will be back very soon!
Small portions. Dessert was very good. Went for valentines dinner on their prefixed menu.
Although not dressed for a walk this is a great place to take a walk around the Marina either before or after dinning. Our waiter Fernando was superb. The view of the sunset was rich and all encompassing. The Valentines' Special was very delicate and tasty! Since I wasn't drinking alcohol that night I might suggest a special non alcoholic bubbly concoction to offer in place of the special drink on the menu . In fact I should've asked as I am sure they would have accommodated it. Thank you for a wonderful venue to celebrate our 25 years of being each others Valentine!
Exceptional service. Wonderful experience.
Our first time at Loews Coronado. Very casual with a small but nice menu. Excellent service from our friendly server, Lenae. Mussels and frites are the best appetizer.
The food exceeded all expectations. Very accommodative to special dietary requirements. Would go back at every opportunity.
Made this reservation based on the reviews written on Open Table.
This was our family dinner out for NYE. With our kids having various dietary restrictions and food allergies I reviewed the menu and website beforehand to be sure this would be a good fit for our dinner.
When we arrived, we were seated promptly and presented with a menu. Unfortunately, the menu was a pre-set/pre-fixe
menu as the only option for dinner.
Based on the menu presented with no other options we could not stay and have. It would have been nice to know in advance this would be the case for this evening. We definitely would not have made the reservation.
As a resolution to our failed dining plans, the hostess suggested dining at the buffet at the upstairs restaurant. We asked her if we needed reservations? She said “no, you do not need reservations.” So up we went. When we got there we were turned away and told they were only seating guests with reservations. Only after 9 pm would they start taking walk ins. So, this whole pre-planned dining experience did not work out for our family. We were left having to find other arrangements for dinner at 7:15 on NYE.
Additionally, I would say based on my impression of this place, this restaurant has more of a hotel coffee shop feel then a nice restaurant for upscale dining.
My girlfriend and I ate here during New Years Eve and the four course meal was spectacular. It was the best meal that either of us has ever had. 11/10
Just the sunlight reflection at 7:30 AM. Reflection was so great, but no where else to move.
David the GM was fantastic, accommodating our 30+ adults and 40 soccer players. The food was great. The view of the boats lit-up in their Christmas glory was a beautiful site; not a bad seat in the house. Also important to note they have 2 private rooms. The Bartender adjacent to the restaurant was amazing, hidden behind the cafe, drinks were perfectly mixed and prepared with real ingredients, stop in for a chat before you dine.
The food was excellent and our server, Mark was fabulous. They delivered the surprise birthday desert as I had requested and did not charge it for us.
Amazing food, would love to go again. Thanksgiving buffet was so good.
Thanksgiving buffet. Great view. Gratuity added to the check at 18% and then suggested you add more. Service didn't warrant any additional gratuity. Was not notified that gratuity was going to be added to check.
The salmon was fantastic, the soup was great and the temperature of the food was steaming hot just the way i like it
Service is second to none we highly recommend dining here.
Bonne nourriture, bon service et beau restaurant. J'y retournerais et/ou le recommanderais.
Not on water. Limited selection. Very expensive. It was okay, bit I would not recommend it to anyone.
Great food and service I will be back.
Food was excellent. Ambiance sitting outside was wonderful
Pretty restaurant, feels beachy. Food was creative. Smallish portions. Older kid friendly.
Convenient, on-site restaurant to the Loews Hotel, with average food both at dinner and for breakfast. Staff works hard, but they are occasionally short staffed. Clean environment with a nice view of the marina.
Food was hit and miss for dinner. Excellently tender short rib, crispy and flavorful sweet potato fries, moist crab cake. The duck was good but undercooked, the bass came with skin in (not mentioned on the menu) and smelled too fishy to eat. Our server happily swapped out the fish for another option. Reasonably priced restaurant.
Daniel our server was spot on with the timing of everything. The food was excellent!
Overall an excellent experience.
From the servers to the ambience to the food Crown Landing was terrific for our family dinners at the Loews.
Food was really good, staff was friendly, the view was amazing. My husband and I were celebrating our pregnancy and also his birthday. I had such a great time here. I recommend it to everyone.
It was a very disappointing dinner. We live nearby and we had some friends visiting us, so we walked to the resort to show it off to our friends. Unfortunately, the meal and the service was underwhelming. The waitress acted like she's had no training whatever, especially with wine. It's very disappointing!
This was a perfect place for mother's day. It was easy to find and the staff was amazing. They have a great selection from the buffet and the menu. Will definitely be going back.
We were very disappointed in the value for the price
The salad and entree were very disappointing. The salad of burata cheese, pea pods and radishes was tasteless even when we added salt and pepper and it was not a nice presentation.
We shared the lobster mac and cheese and it was extremely salty and the lobster was rubbery in texture and smelled fishy! We didn't finish it.
Andrea was a very good waitress and we have no complaints about her service!
Our first time at this restaurant. My husband loved the Smokey old fashioned cocktail . Bread was fresh and good. The highlight was the Brussels Sprouts. Had the Cioppino. It was quite tasty but sooooo spicy we had to send it back. The revised bowl was still spicy but flavorful and seafood was fresh. . I will get it again but will ask for NO hot spice. Lovely view of marina from inside. The kale Caesar salad was scrumptious. The Manhattan clam chowder was yum but hardly any clams. Just a few tiny fragments but the broth was divine. It is served with house made potato chips and served in a small glass jar. ( a small cup at most.)
Service was a bit slow between courses. Chef came out after dinner to introduce himself. We will return when we want to take a ride from Coronado down the strand. Sure wish they could send a complimentary van to drive us as Stake in Coronado does, then for sure we would return frequently.
Brunch at Crown Landing
Two friends and I had brunch brunch on May 7 at the Crown Landing Restaurant at Loews Coronado. There was an very good varied selection of food and excellent omelets. The server was attentive for obtaining our drinks -- the rest of it was serving ourselves at the buffet.
Having worked for two other major hotel chains, I am somewhat biased with respect to my food and beverage expectations. We had high hopes for Easter Sunday brunch, but service was lax, food selection was minimal and price was tour standard resort pricing. Nowhere near the levels of Hilton and Marriott, much less the boutique and higher end downtown hotels. I don't mind paying more as long as "you get what you pay for " rule applies, such as at the Hotel Del and Ritz, etc. Here it did not.
The view was beautiful. We were seated inside and still had an amazing view of the waterfront. The food was good but for the price was expecting a bit more variety. The service was horrendous. It's possible our server was waiting on too many tables but for more than three quarters of the time we were there we did not see our server. We had to ask to have our water refilled, which we only succeeded in tracking down our server once for the water refill. For the price of the brunch the overall experience was sorely lacking. The view however was amazing.
It was ok not bad but not great. I would tell people to go if they have a coupon..
My husband and I went there for a romantic anniversary dinner. We were staying in the hotel and thought it would be a romantic spot. Oh how wrong we were. The staff was busy and not very accommodating. Our waitress was on the verge of being rude and seemed irritated that we didn't know immediately what we wanted to order. She was trying to push us to order drinks, which we eventually did. She just kept telling us what we should order without even asking us what we typically like. For example, she came back to us after I told her were were still contemplating drinks, and said we should just order the rum drink for two.It just seemed like she was trying to push the most expensive items. She said their meals were "Family Style" which is not at all what it is. Their portions are small and the price is high for the size. I ended up ordering the steak, which was not what you would think when you order steak. It was cut into pieces with a couple of small purple potatoes...not a steak, steak. We chose to sit outside under the heaters for a more romantic evening. The heater ended up not working. When we asked to move inside, they put us in a small room with 2 large parties full of little children. By the way, we did make a reservation. Overall, it was not the anniversary night we were hoping for and we were hugely disappointed.
Our server Art started out well but after taking our order he did not bring us bread until after our entres and salads arrived. Our entres and salads arrived together even though Art said he would serve our salads first. The bread was stale and white.
All was well except we were very disappointed at the scarcity of choices on the menu.
I had Open Table reservations for lunch and the host found it on the list...but I got a message the following day that I hadn't kept my reservation. The restaurant was empty and he was not rushed so there was no reason for this.
The food was casual and overpriced. The Cobb Salads we ordered were medium size, a bit on
the dry side, and priced higher than average. Our server was gracious and efficient.
It was an unremarkable experience and I would not go back.
Okay food! But made up for it with superb service. It was my girlfriends birthday and Valentine's Day and they made it very very special for her !
