We have recently taken over at the Crown & Horns and can't wait to introduce ourselves to you all as we start a new era and create some new memories here at the Crown & Horns. We'd love to show you our new menu and for you to meet the team, so do join us on 19th June for some complimentary bubbles and nibbles from the menu. There’ll be live music and a great atmosphere all evening for those looking to stay a little longer and dine with us, or to join us at the bar later. See you then Ant & Ben

We've been meeting friends here on a regular basis and have always been happy with the food and the service. This time, however, portions were much smaller than previously and my chicken was overcooked and tough. Disappointing. We asked for hot chocolate to drink but they didn't have any which was surprising. Neither did they have any ginger beer. The service was good and the noise level was just right, and the pub is comfortable and clean. We'll probably try somewhere else next time we meet based on the food...

Unfortunately after ordering our food, we then waited 50 minutes until we received it. Very disappointed to wait this length of time. Further to my disappointment my salmon was nearly raw and I had to send it back, it took another 30 minutes until I received another meal by which time the Friends who were with me had finished their food. The person in charge apologised and said how sorry he was and gave us a complimentary bottle of wine, however after ordering a sweet and waiting a further 30 minutes this did not make up for our disappointment.

Thought we'd give the pub another go as we went about a year ago and it wasn't great. Sadly nothing has improved. One meal wasn't cooked and one was swimming in fat and had mixed herbs on the top that were so thick, that's all you could taste. We did mention it to the waiter who knocked some off the bill. Used to be such a great pub and it's a shame it's gone downhill.

The pub was packed and once shown to our table there was a dog in the restaurant! We waited over an hour for our food, I requested an update on service with two of the staff. When the food eventually arrived it was Luke warm and not at the same time so once all 6 of us had our meals the first 4 plates were cold. We were told that as an apology the roast lunch es had double beef on them, this was not the case. Once the main courses were collected we were told that any puddings would be free of charge as an apology. Consequently we ordered our puddings and even they took ages to arrive. When I paid the bill the landlord / manager did apologise for reasons which really did not make the experience any better. Poor service and poor quality food. My Granddaughter even had her burger between two slices of toast because they had ‘run’ out of buns

Booked a table for 4. Wanted to increase to 5 but OpenTable would not allow. Called twice to amend to 5 people. Turned up still as 4 people! Not good! No sourdough fir starters just cheap supermarket white sliced bread. Hardly any sauce on prawn cocktail. Roast beef meal however was good.

Wonderful and welcoming pub with a great atmosphere. The staff are very good and the service was at the right pace. The food was very good, the menu gave a nice choice and all at a reasonable price. I am sure we will return
