Food was great and the interior was nice but it was really loud. Not sure if it is that loud every night but it definitely took away from what was otherwise a nice dinner.
Great food and exceptional service all in a relaxing atmosphere!
If you stop un Fredericksburg Crossroads is a must.
On the west end of Fredericksburg, with plenty of parking and a couple of options - quiet dining, or music and saloon. We haven't tried a weekend yet (we've heard loud and busy), but for mid-week dining (and some good music), this place is hard to beat.
There are some great specials, most of the plates are more than large enough to split, and the service is phenomenal. I had the Wednesday special (10 oz prime rib), cooked exactly how I like it and some of the best beef I've had in a while. A lot of good veggie options - I went with the Brussels sprouts, the wife went with mushrooms. Both were excellent. Save room for dessert - the peach pie with ice cream, or the fried strawberries with both pistachio and salted caramel ice cream were very good. We made reservations, and did not have to wait for a table. This will become a regular spot.
The experience was good but the price was on the high side. Our steak was really tough and hard to cut through. However, the Crème Brule was good.
I got the Seabass and it was delish!!! Four of us celebrating a birthday dinner- everyone enjoyed their meal
We sat in the wine cellar it was super nice and great service!
The food was fabulous. Our group ordered a variety; steaks, pork chops, and salmon. All were cooked to perfection! The cocktails were just okay, but the variety with the wine list made up for it. We ordered the smores brownie to share and it was wonderful. Service was good. Hostess desk seemed a bit confused, overwhelmed, and unfriendly, but the restaurant was VERY busy that evening. This is my second time to eat at Crossroads and I will be back!
Great food and wine. We sat down the steps in the little wine cellar area. Perfect for a quieter romantic meal. Highly recommend.
This was a great place to eat. Service was outstanding. Good food selection. I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Fredericksburg.
Everything was fine after we finally got in. There was mass confusion at front door as lined formed from front podium down into the bar area. We had reservations but it was not clear as to if we needed to stand in line or push to the front.....we went to the front. There were two ladies running the front and they looked very overwhelmed and unfortunately uninformed on how to corral the crowd. With persistence we did get our table and all was fine. Customer service and food great. We then went on to the band area and had a great time. The bartenders at the bar however, were not the friendliest. I know they are busy but some of them had an attitude. I always tip but not well if service is not the best. Everything worked out well and fun was had by all! Be back soon!
We've been to Crossorads many times. My husband and I shared the surf and turf. While the shrimp was good, the steak was tough and not a good quality. Disappointed.
The food selection was very good. Prime rib was cooked perfectly. The Brussel sprouts with the pork chop were phenomenal. Pork chop was great, but a little sweeter than I would prefer.
Lamb was excellent! Fried strawberries are a must try! Enjoyed my daughter's BD celebration with 6 of us. Excellent service!
Food was absolutely delicious - will definitely return
Excellent! Best fillet I've ever eaten! Everything was delish!
EVERYTHING WAS OUTSTANDING, FOOD, ATMOSPHERE AND THE BAND WAS GREAT IN THE SALOON. THE ONLY ISSUE WE HAD WAS ONE OF THE BARTENDERS WAS RUDE. THE OTHER BARTENDER WAS GREAT. MAYBE THE RUDE ONE WAS JUST STRESSED AND HAVING A BAD DAY.WE ALL DO, MAYBE SHE'LL BE IN A BETTER FRAME OF MIND NEXT TIME. WE WILL BE BACK
We left the restaurant after dinner to listen to the band-a young woman ran over me-and stepped on my broken foot-nearly knocked me down trying to get to a person in front of me-she was unapologetic -will not go back
Everything was great except my center cut sirloin steak cooked to medium was a little dry like it had been frozen, thawed and cooked. Everything else was great.
While the food was good, we came in to celebrate my wife's birthday and on a night that they were offering the Prime Rib as a special, they were already out of it by 7:30 p.m., definitely having a negative impact on our experience. Deena did try to make things right by substituting a ribeye instead at a reduced price, burt we really did have our hearts set on the Prime Rib special offered on a Sunday special night, particularly as it was the reason that we went there for my wife's special night.
Great service! Waitress was fabulous!
Excellent food with nice variety of options. Steaks are always good & quail was good as well this time. Great band in saloon after dinner as well.
Food was exceptionally good, the prime filet was delicious and perfectly prepared, the crab/crawfish cakes were also very, very good. We enjoyed the special peach pie dessert. Remained after dinner for dancing in the saloon, but left after an hour or so as it became impossible to dance (too many young singles standing on the dance floor talking, taking selfies, etc. The floor was simply too packed to allow dancing. I wonder that they may have allowed more people in the saloon than the fire marshall allows? I also wonder why there is not a dedicated dance floor, roped are, etc. if you are going to advertise that you are a dance spot.)
The only negative I have to give the restaurant concerns our reservation. When we arrived, we were told we did NOT have a reservation, they had no record of us in spite of our having our Open Table confirmation. Better beware of booking this restaurant using Open Table, and if you do, I suggest calling the restaurant direct to confirm.
Had a fabulous night celebrating our anniversary. The steaks were cooked to our liking & our dessert was amazing. We had Jules as our waitress & she was awesome!
I would recommend with reservation. We ate on a Th July night and had the special (prime rib and 6 oz filet). The salad was good but, in the middle of Hill Country peach season, arrived with mandarin oranges. The meat was cooked to order (medium rare) and was tender but not highest quality. The mashed potatoes were excellent. The green beans were flavored well but presentation lacking. Overall, a fine dinner but not excellent. The waitress attended to our bill without picking up our empty plates, even after we pushed them to the edge of the table to capture her attention. Attention to detail would have made our dinner much more enjoyable. So yes, I would eat there again but not expect an overall excellent experience.
Excellent steak. Very, very good! Salmon, shrimp, brussel sprouts...just everything done right. Topped it off with peach pie and fudge brownie. Wonderfully savory evening.
Excellent. The brisket jalapeños r a must!
We definitely enjoyed our Anniversary dinner at Crossroads. Our first visit was last October. We just stumbled upon it then. This time it was a conscious decision. We had a lovely dinner which included a Tomahawk steak. A big treat considering we try very hard to limit our red meat intake (personal health reasons). After dinner we ventured into the Saloon to enjoy the Austin Party Band. So much fun!!!! We are looking forward to our next visit to Fredericksburg to return to Crossroads.
Don't forget to try the Texas Quail and the cheesecake, both are outstanding.
I had made reservations even though we were early that sat us almost as soon as we got there, food and service was great. I highly recommend requesting to dine in the wine room especially on a date night like it was for my wife and myself.
Restaurant was typical steakhouse, fare was good but not exceptional. Service was great, noise level was high. As we were seated near kitchen, we were on the path of too much traffic.
The food was exceptional! My wife had the most amazing scallops and all the veggies, sautéed spinich and brussel sprouts were on point! Customer service was awesome! My steak wasn't perfectly cooked but they were gracious and bent over backwards to please me. When the steak wasn't as I asked, they comped it and didn't charge us. We love Crossroads! We go every time we come to Fredricksburg and we've never had a bad experience.
First time at Crossroads. Food was excellent and the service was as well. Will definitely dine there again when in town again.
We love Crossroads. Our favorite waiter is “OakTye”! He does a wonderful job,
Was on vacation and saw this on the Main Street. The bar staff was extremely friendly and the waitstaff was very good. Best steak I've had in a long time.
I was excited to eat at Crossroads for my birthday dinner. I made my reservation on Open Table then called a few days before our reservation to request that we be seated in the wine room if possible. It is quieter and would be a more intimate setting for my family and I to celebrate my 54th birthday. My son and his girlfriend had never been to Crossroads and I knew they would think the wine room was special, which it was. Our server was knowledgeable and attentive, but my only complaint was that I ordered the shrimp and grits for my entree. I have had it there before and knew that it was very good and would be plenty of food for me even though it is considered a starter. I had requested no barbecue sauce which is listed in the description of the shrimp and grits on the menu, but my server discouraged this by saying that the chef doesn’t like it when we make changes and besides the barbecue sauce was on the side. Well, it was not on the “side” it was literally on both sides of the dish touching the grits. I do not care for barbecue sauce and I certainly did not want it on my grits. I was a little disappointed with this. Also, when making our reservation, I noted that we would be celebrating a birthday, but there was no mention of this by the greeter, our server, or the manager during the evening. I kind of expected some kind of acknowledgement since it is considered a more upscale, service oriented establishment. Overall, my family really enjoyed our meal at Crossroads. They each got steaks and said that their food was really good, especially the brussel sprouts.
We were very pleased with our server Robin. She was very attentive, polite, checking on us and very easy to talk to about the area. We were from out of town and she was very knowledgeable and helpful on answering our questions on the whole Fredericksburg Experience. You should give her a raise.
Food top notch !!! Service top notch!!!! All of my party (6) were not pleased with our drinks! They were very weak on the alcohol 😩
Food and service was good but we mentioned we were celebrating Our anniversary but no mention was made at the restaurant at all.
The food itself was great. Mashed potatoes were a little bland. Steaks and chicken were amazing!
Our service was horrible. We got our appetizers before our non-alcoholic drinks. Our server only came by once basically when we were done to ask how everything was. No refills. We wanted additional sauces for our meat and never had to the chance to order any. Very disappointing service for the price.
