Crossings restaurant is located in the beautiful historic Edwards and Faw building on Mission St. in South Pasadena, originally built in 1908. Crossings utilized the beautiful brick and mortar structure to inspire a classic American restaurant space. The downstairs dining room encompasses a fully open kitchen and 14 foot ceilings. A patio under a 100 year old oak sits right next to the Metro Gold Line, providing a truly urban space not often found in LA. A wine loft sits between the first and second floors, offering a wide variety of choices. Two bars, one on each floor, offer hand crafted cocktails as well as barrel aged selections made in house by our bartenders.

Crossings Ratings and Reviews
I love Crossings and the individual service and attention given by the owner Patrick. He is knowledgeable about his food and an expert in smaller wineries which makes his wine list impressive. Reliably delicious and now they have a happy hour from 5-7 where delicious items such as crab tostada, pulled pork sliders and deviled eggs are 6 dollars. Delicious!! Will have to head back for happy hour sometime soon!
The ambiance was very nice, sophisticated, but not uptight. The service was very attentive. The food was very good, but not excellent. The cocktail tastes a bit watered down to my taste. It was a nice experience overall and I would have no problem going their again or recommending it.
This was 3 frmale friends getting together to catch up. We did it on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. It was quiet and we enjoyed ourselves. Food was great and we all agreed that we would order it again. Our waiter and the staff were great and as they were not busy we got extra attention (but not to much). If their are any drawbacks...1) parking and 2) although it was a lovely day and they appeared to have a nice patio it backs up to the Goldline train which passed by fairly frequently even on Sunday.
This was one of the worst experiences I've had at any restaurant, but especially at this price point. I'm usually fairly understanding with mistakes, or food being slightly under par. I get that mistakes happen. But this night was atrocious in every aspect. We ultimately left feeling bloated because of the Chinese food takeout-level sodium levels, and the mood for the night was ruined because of the painfully awkward and long experience from beginning to end.
All four in our party raved about everything they had. Food is excellent, service attentive without being cloying. It gets a bit noisy when Crossings is full (we went on a Saturday night, but at 5:30). Definitely one of the high water marks in Pasadena-area dining.
Crossings never disappoints. Our veteran server Chris was more than attentive and assisted in wine pairing for our exquisite fish entree. Crossings has a new chef and our party all gave him high marks on our dinner selections. They pour a great cocktail and it’s become a favorite spot for special dining events. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Crossings is consistently superior. The menu is spot on--not too large, but with plenty of variety. The wine list is terrific and creative. The staff is attentive and affable, and the food preparation is just perfect. It's become one of our favorite restaurants in the San Gabriel Valley.
I would recommend this restaurant for the food - it was excellent. Service was a little slow, but the food was worth the wait. The noise level was almost intolerable. I noticed a closed off room upstairs - if we return to Crossings, I would request that room.
A very good menu with a mix of seafood and meat. Always has a special which is usually fish. The restaurant is on a corner in South Pasadena which overlooks the Metro train crossing. This makes for an interesting view. Though it’s a bit pricey it is so worth it. They have also recently instituted a pre fix menu which is an excellent value. This is our go to restaurant for an excellent meal and a casual feeling.
I had heard good things about Crossings. A bit pricy, but ideal for a special occasion. Loved the old school vibe of no oversized plasmas to divert attention from your company or food. Only negative was my friend couldn't get out of the restroom after she had locked it! Good service, great cocktails (but they could be a bit more generous size-wise).
I am giving five stars for the crossings' dinning experience . This is the second time for me to dine and wine at this restaurant . I really enjoyed the grilled sea bass with pesto sauce and white beans ragu. My friend had the lamb chop which had a very tasteful presentation. Definitely, the pumpkin pie is the must for this season. Apple cobbler with a scoop of ice cream is so scrumptious. The crossings is south pasadena's neighborhood gem.
As our previous experiences in dining at Crossings, the food was very good. They do a great job in their preparation of their fish entrees. The service was not as good as we have experienced in the past. The waitress we have had in the past, who always provided excellent service, was not there. The waiter we had did not provide the service you would expect in a restaurant of this caliber.
We have had many excellent meals here but this last time was a big disappointment. The chicken was over cooked and dry, the vegetables were under cooked. The table near ours held 4 very noisy people. I hope this was merely a one-off and not the beginning of a trend downward.
We celebrated my husband's birthday at Crossings the other night and thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience. The food was terrific and the staff, especially our waiter Patrick, were absolutely wonderful! The owner, also named Patrick, stopped by our table to chat and see how our dinner was. I also watched him as he chatted with other tables and later opened the front door to welcome another guest. It is this type of service that makes an impression on people and it did with us. We will definitely be back -- and we will also highly recommend Crossings to our friends.
My sisters and i with our spouses are visiting California for a vacation. We had visited the Huntington Library and Art Galleries and wanted a nice, close restaurant before heading back to Anaheim. I found Crossings on Open Table and it sounded ideal! And it was! The food was delicious and the service was excellent. A big shout out to the bartender who made the best Whiskey Sour i have ever experienced!Kudos to a great place to dine.
