About
Loved the show. Sprucing up outside with better marquis would be nice
We had the pleasure of dining here on February 7, 2020. My boyfriend and myself are on the Keto diet. The staff was superb at accommodating our requests from removing the linguini from the pasta and the bun from the sliders. Four different items and each was fantastic. Can't wait to go back!!!
The atmosphere reminded me of the old supper club vibe. The food was delicious with lots of variety to choose from. The service on the other hand needs a little bit to be desired. Our waitress was not real attentive to our dining needs. Pretty poky to say he least.
Planning to return soon to see the entertainment.
This questionnaire is fine, except for the requirement to enter at least 50 characters.
Great food every time. Love the ambiance. Waitress was awesome and very attentive.
The menu was a bit light on choices. The prices were a bit high for the quality, plus you had to pay for a basket of bread, but pretty tasty. The carrot cake was very dry.
Waitress seemed a bit flighty, new, not all there. Greeting staff failed to find my review until they checked again; werent aware of it at first. I asked for cabernet wine, then she said "red or white". I said red. Just odd. Much love to you all, Merry Christmas, stay strong and alert, this world is crazy.
Great food. Friendly service. We go frequently and will continue to dine there.
We went for the Thanksgiving buffet. They did not have the things they advertised for the meal. The buffet was picked over even though I thought we picked a middle time slot. Not even pumpkin pie that was advertised. They stuck my family of 6 on 3 separate tables in a corner with no room after making ya wait awhile to be seated when we had reservations for awhile. I want to support a live music venue- especially in the town I live. I played over 300 shows at this place and was hoping for something special. Was maybe a fluke. Meh... I still tipped $35
The Thanksgiving buffet was excellent with all the traditional offerings and more. The dessert table offered several different delicious desserts. The jazz singer, Debbie Duncan, presented wonderful songs for a great dining experience.
Great food - Great service - love the atmosphere !
A wonderful evening. Like Davina said, “it is rare to have a place that understands both good music and good food.” The Twin Cities is lucky to have Crooners!
We had a wonderful evening at Crooners. The food was very good, the service great and the music fantastic. What a great spot for an entire evening of entertainment. Thank you to the owner/operator.
Best kept secret!, Love this place and the staff are very helpful.
The performance outstanding!
We left without eating. After being seated, for a good 15 minutes No server ever stopped by the table.
This is a great old fashioned night club. They have great steaks and all that goes with that. Wine and beer list is impressive. The jazz is perfect.
Exactly the ambience we hoped for, quiet and great lighting without being gloomy. Service was excellent, waitress paid attention from afar and was right there when we needed something. Personable and helpful. Loved the supperclub feel. Food, tho, was only mediocre. Only the walleye appetizer was very good, main meals were fair. Will go back for wine, apps and music, tho, we loved the place!
Overall excellent!! Food and drinks were delicious and server was the best. Very friendly and accommodating.
Service was sub-par. Waitress seemed distracted. Forgot to follow up on a couple of things. Also, 3 items we ordered we were told they were out of. We were there at 5:00 pm. Beginning of dinner service. The food was good.
Music was fantastic, and I love the room and atmosphere. The only shortcoming was slow and inattentive service. Perhaps they were short-staffed that day?
Service was on the slow side, but the food was good. The show was fun and very enjoyable.
The music was good, outside on the patio. Road noise wasn’t bad. The food was quite good, salad and excellent beef stroganoff. There were good variety on the menu, both appetizers and entrees. Service was pleasant. This is a nice place, a hidden gem. I will return again soon.
We were the first couple to book our dinner yet our back was to the stage!! Very disappointed in that!! We even asked our waitress for another table yet she did nothing for us!! She should be fired!!!! I have a
arthritis in my neck and it hurt me to turn my head the whole evening! That sucked!!!!! Also, they told us the wrong time. The gentleman on the phone told us 7 when in fact it was 8 p.m. Very unprofessional!!!!
We could not pay the bill credit card machine down.
Happen to have 1 check with me.
Otherwise good service.
We started coming to Crooners to hear Scottie. There is only one Scottie. He doesn't need the rest of his performance name: Scottie Miller Band-- anyone knows him and the band as Scottie. The music under the stars is a sweet idea, with peculiar, uncomfortable seats, great sound, servers who try as best as they can to doge the mosquitoes. The only reason I would recommend the setting is because it's Scottie. He's the only reason I go to Crooners. I can't fathom why he doesn't play inside and start at 7.
Food was very good. Definitely will return
We had asked to be seated in the Dunsmore Room because of the (weather) rain the tent event had to be brought inside. We were sat at a nice table but not the Dunsmore Room. Made sence to me but not one person in our party was'nt Happy. Great place will go there again.
I go to Crooner’s for the music, not the food. The food is fair to good. They need to hire more servers. As a music venue, it’s probably my favorite venue in the TCs. Comfortable, intimate, good sound, great acts, easy to get to. Always friendly employees. I wish scallops were still on their menu. Without them, I merely order a salad. Very sizable portions. Beautiful food presentations. Since I only order salad now, it’s hard to rate them any more than three stars. It’s just lettuce. Bottom line: I love this place.
Excellent evening for adults without the usual decadence found in most evening entertainment,
First timers. Had fun, enjoyed the food and show. See you soon.
We travel over an hour and a half to hear Joyce Lyons. We certainly hope you book her more often, so we can enjoy her stunning music in your perfect atmosphere with excellent food.
Sincerely,
Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Wirth
Chicken was way overdone. Chimi steak was delicious. Nice spot, lots of potential, but missed the mark
Ricky the bartender was super nice and made a great cocktail but was super busy. The other guy doing the beer and wine was pretty arrogant and “put off” by us- minding our own business. The food was good- Caprese salad very good. My trip a bit small. Service in dining room very average. Dirty plates stayed on table for the duration of the show and she didn’t check back on drinks for us. Ambiance was average. Not really a supper club: no relish plate and no grasshoppers or brandy Alexander’s.
Walleye was excellent, the salmon was a little "fishy". Service was great. Music under the stars was great!
There was a wedding outside and inside and it was very chaotic when the wedding ended. Seemed not enough staff and people hurrying in every direction. Noisy in the dining room.
We had a table write next to the bar and entry and staff and management gather near our table to talk about the problems they were having. Very rude and disrupting to our dinner. No one mentioned there was an outdoor patio and we had a reservation. When we got there no one was there to greet us at the entry to the restaurant and people seemed to scurry to find someone. We saw the Erin Schwab show. Outstanding and would come back for that and the food but service and ambience was sadly missing. I am unfortunately telling friends this. SERVICE and food is the key to your business. You get an F in the Service and ambience area. Very sad. I came when it was Shorewood and never had those problems.
Excellent food at reasonable cost. MUST try their steak! You will be more than surprised!
Tremendous improvement over old management. Food still mediocre. Not much flavor - can’t point to any part of the dinner and say that it was great or that I would order it again. Creme brûlée actually burned (not browned).
Crooners is a great venue for performing arts. Enjoyed the concert we attended. Beverages were good. Food was just okay but overpriced for the quality. Walleye was unappealing, not even browned or seared...burger over cooked. Service was just okay, server was very nice but was not attentive, hard to find when beverages ran out or when we were ready for the bill. Plenty of outdoor seating but tables were warped and awkward to have supper at. Would like to see them invest a little more in the outdoor seating quality, food quality, and staffing. Highly recommended for concerts. Would go back again but probably not for a meal.
Really fun night.
Great food and sitting outside was very pleasant.
We stayed for the outside concert and that was awesome.
Great value!
Had a great time on your patio
