Cromwell's American Tavern & Taqueria is located in Greenville, Delaware, the gateway from Wilmington into “Chateau Country.” It has been operational since 1991. The inviting, upscale atmosphere, award-winning food, oversized drinks and friendly service welcome customers back time and time again. As the local paper said, “Don’t let the location fool you… at its cozy little heart Cromwell’s is a laid-back, sit-and-linger little bar and grill.”

The restaurant serves Mexican and American cuisines for lunch and dinner, 7 days a week. From tacos to burgers, fajitas to pasta entrees, salads to sandwiches. The menu includes refreshing cocktails, craft, import and domestic beers, hand-selected wines and desserts to complement your meal.

There are several museums close by, and the restaurant has tourist-friendly dining hours. Parking is plentiful. The restaurant accepts reservations, but also leaves tables open for walk-ins.

All staff members are polite and are eager to please! The food is very good and there are many choices for vegetarians. The half price burgers are a great deal. Thank you for offering Beyond Meat burgers!

Margaritas were excellent and the food was good, just rather slow to arrive (we were there at an obviously quiet time, so no rush on the kitchen...).

Went there for National Margarita day with friends. Food was blah. Nachos had almost no cheese, very little beans. And they give you 3 tiny bowls of pico, sour cream and guacamole for a big for the table size Nachos. Waitress had an attitude and was unpleasant. Rest of the food was ok , chimichangas, couscous etc. Drinks were good. Tres Leches for dessert,also mediocre.

We needed a quick meal before a show, and Cromwell's delivered. The service was fast, pleasant and accurate. The food was very good, and the menu has lots of options. Overall a very good experience.

Wait staff stopped 3 times, once for drinks, second to deliver, and third for a check. Food was OK, but definitely NOT Mexicana. Very bland.
