   Very disappointing! Arrived with a booking which wasn’t allocated to a table. Seated and given menus by a waitress who was clearly not having a good day with her attitude. Waited 15 minutes for someone to return to take our order - no one came. The people on the table next to us advised we had to go up and order. When mention to the staff that they probably should have said we needed to go up and order as we’ve been waiting 15 minutes, we were huffed at and told they were short staffed. Food was mediocre, nothing to rave about. This is our third time here giving the place a chance, never again!

   Great vibe as always. Good variety on the menu and really pleasant staff. Chicken chasseur was delicious!

   Stale bread and under-cooked meat were the lowlights. However, wait staff were professional and responsive. A more relaxed dinner jazz soundtrack would make a big difference to the ambience.

   Lovely restaurant - a real gem. The meals were very good and staff were wonderful. Absolutely worth the journey to Clunes. Will be recommending it to others.

   Do yourself a favour and get out to Clunes to not only support regional produce, but to genuinely have a great meal in a fantastic location of Country Victoria where people are wanting to look after you and are keen for you to enjoy what they have to offer. The menu at Criterion will satisfy any palate, we had lamb, barramundi, chicken and gnocchi - all were fantastic meals. The wine list is excellent, plenty of wine by the glass, and truly great value . A beautiful place, really looking forward to going back.
