Cretans is a playful, energetic Mediterranean restaurant and wine bar offering wine, creative cocktails & shareable dishes in Cherry Creek. The wine list offers selections from winemakers reviving ancient traditions and embracing heritage varietals, as well as natural and biodynamic producers pushing the boundaries of modern winemaking. The cocktail menu features three sections: wine spritzes; coffee cocktails, including a play on the famous Greek frappe iced coffee; and pour-over martinis, featuring dirty martini riffs customized with a variety of artisanal pickles, olives and other accoutrements, such as spicy pepperoncini.

Brie and meatballs are amazing. Tuna tartar is just ok. The seating is not very comfortable. Tables are way too low for the chairs and benches which leads to not wanting to stay very long.

I was very excited to eat at this restaurant but was quickly disappointed. I made a reservation to sit outside and was seated at a tiny table below my knees. It was very uncomfortable to eat at and it was a busy night. Unfortunately we weren’t able to be reseated unless we waited 40 minutes for a new table. Frankly, the table height ruined our dinner experience and made it unenjoyable. Food was great and the staff was super nice but seating sucked.

Worst experience in Denver in 6 years. They called day of to move our 9pm reservation to 930. Once we are seated they tell us the kitchen closed and we have to order from the neighbor restaurant (which I saw on Yelp and didn’t want). Food was terrible and about triple the price. There is a nightclub next-door and the music was so loud that we couldn’t even have a conversation. Never again!!

Really enjoyed the menu. We ordered several appetizers and all were delicious. The cocktails were fantastic. Our server was attentive and friendly. The ambience was art deco with tube lighting on the walls. The four of us could talk to the person next to us but not to the person across the table. Maybe turn down the music just a tad? Overall a eclectic venue.

Great time at cretans for the first time last night. So cute, well decorated, and the evening lighting is just spectacular for a very speakeasy/supper club-type feel. Vibrant and retro. Totally up my alley! Good food, and reasonably priced for good portions. I did feel a little crowded at my seat, which was at the bar. We reserved a high top upon booking, so I assumed I would have my own table. But it ended up working out relatively well all in all. Will visit again!

This is primarily a wine bar that serves some small plates. We got the baked Brie and lemon cottage fries. The Brie doesn’t come with anything to put it on (crackers, crutons, toast, bread), so we had to order a side of pita bread for an additional charge. The Brie was also not heated all the way through. The fries were fine, I just expected more for how much they were charging for them.

It was too loud for our liking - we had to shout at each other to have a conversation. Food was fine but they brought it all out at once instead of pacing. Will not likely return.

Wine selection was great! Staff seemed overwhelmed and frequently forgot aspects of the order for our table & the people around us. Food, while delicious, had very small portions and wasn’t worth the price. Ambiance was nice while the restaurant wasn’t full, but as it got later the noise got overwhelming.

They were great with food allergies. Food was ok to good. Noise level was very loud. We made a reservation for my birthday for 3 and the host tried seating us at a two top table. The only other “table” available was a tiny two top sized coffee table that had enough room for more than two chairs. We sat at the coffee table. Ordering food for three people was tough as we couldn’t fit drinks, plates, and food on the table. We weren’t given napkins or plates and had to ask for them after our appetizers had been consumed awkwardly on a too small table. Service was very slow. I would not go back or recommend this place to others.

Great wine bar-style restaurant that is light on cocktails. We loved the Dip Tower and Citrus Spritz. Great tapas options and wines. Beautiful space, dim lighting make it great for a date.

DRINKS: Much more a wine bar than a cocktail bar. FOOD: Small bites, some of them excellent. AMBIANCE: Inside is dark and chic. Outside is standing bar and covered seats. SERVICE: Overall good and attentive despite the business. But having food arrive before drinks was a bit odd, and having both food and drinks come out as they are ready, rather than together, was also a bit quirky. NET-NET: Probably not quite our cuppa, but they did a decent job in a very crowded area.

The lobster roll was great, but other entrees like the scallops were disappointing and overpriced. Other entrees were much spicier than as described on the menu, so much so that it made it difficult to enjoy them. The big shocker and disappointment were the extra fees and taxes added to the bill that added an additional 25+% to the total before any tip. These should be disclosed on the website and on the menu instead of surprising guests with them at the end of the meal.

I like this spot—great cherry creek crowd just the waitstaff seemed overwhelmed and inexperienced. Food is good, some dishes are great and some so-so but will be back. Good energy.

Been twice (can’t even say why I went back a second time) and service was horrible both times. Servers were neglectful and forgetful. Awful and we won’t be going back. And it was also as if the kitchen staff didn’t even know how to prepare the food. For example, no herbs, condiments or seasoning on anything even when it was listed on the menu description. Complete disaster.

This was a fun spot to check out. There were some hits and there were some misses so overall it was an average experience. I would go back and get some of the favorite items: Halloumi fries (pretty much elevated mozz sticks), caesar salad, and the pepperoncini martini - my favorite thing. Misses were the dip tower (way overpriced for what it was) and the shrimp. I also had a weird interaction with the host but it was very busy so will chalk it up to that. Decor was awesome - should be since it's a new place.

New bar with great ambiance! Still new and it feels like they are still figuring it out. Checking in is a little confusing, the host will walk up to you, so don’t look for a main entrance. Food is tapas style, portions are small, food did came out really fast and it did lack some love and attention. Overall love the new place in hood with great attention to design and drinks. Will check it out again soon to see their growth.

We went right when they opened so my boyfriend and I were the only people at the restaurant. We ordered the hamachi crudo, ribs, shishito peppers and the fried chicken. Would order all of the food again!! The drinks we ordered we just fine. As people who are into cocktails we thought there was nothing special about them but would definitely return and order a standard cocktail versus one off their menu.

This is a cool spot for drinks and a bite. Not dinner. We went for dinner for Mother's Day and though we had a reservation, they were not ready for us and it was not that crowded. The server was very nice, but slow, and she did feel badly that the restaurant was pretty much out of all of the good food items. A limited menu became very limited. We will go back as it is a great place to meet drinks for friends, but not going back to get a meal.

Upon arriving there was no hostess stand. After standing there awhile we decided to track her down across the restaurant so we could be seated for our reservation. Luckily she was carrying an iPad so we were able to figure out which one she was. Seating along the couch tables is not for tall people. Your legs won’t fit under the table. Drinks were good! There is no order when it comes to food coming out. Our steak kebabs came first, followed by our dips appetizer, meatballs, shrimp cocktail and then finally our burrata salad. Food was decent, some better than others. Prices are pretty high for the quality of food.

Overall, everything was great. The only thing was, when I called to change my reservation for my friends birthday, they offered to surprise her with champagne when she showed up to the restaurant which was not done. She had just had a really horrible birthday, so this kind of was the icing on top. And then there were no deserts- which was my fault. I should’ve asked before hand. But that just ruined the overall experience.

Took a while for our sever to show up but once she did she was great. The dips in the dip tower were amazing and a huge portion. Mozzarella sticks were meh. Very very loud and bustling. Definitely a scene!
