Toronto's Cresta crafts upscale and inviting continental cuisine with a heavy emphasis on contemporary Italian fare in its charming restaurant. For an ideal start to your meal, enjoy the swordfish carpaccio with cherry tomatoes, jalapeno and red onion salsa and the warm mushroom salad with truffle vinaigrette. Some of Cresta's specialty entrée items include the flat iron steak with a balsamic rosemary jus, the saffron poached sea bass with red pepper and jalapeno puree and the crispy parmesan crusted chicken breast. Thin-crust pizzas, such as the reuben with smoked brisket, horseradish slaw and fontina cheese and the heirloom tomato with basil, olives and shaved parmesan, are other popular selections. Equally creative and hearty brunch items make Cresta a popular weekend spot. Dishes include the lemon vanilla bean waffle with berry compote and apple saffron and the soft polenta with poached egg, pancetta and parmesan crisp.
