Cress on Oak Creek at L'Auberge de Sedona Ratings and Reviews
Service was excellent but food was terrible. We previously dined at the restaurant two years ago and really enjoyed it. It seems they have a new executive chef and the food has taken a turn for the worse. Would NOT recommend - fatty or extremely dry meats, flavorless dishes. Presentation was the only upside of the food. Sad as the setting and service is top notch, but we will not return.
We have been to many outstanding restaurants all around the world and this beautiful setting ranks up in our top 5. The cuisine was amazing but the ambiance was over the top. Highly recommended. - Very romantic, exquisite creekside experience and incredible menu. A must see.
The foie gras was wonderful. The support back server was slightly above average, but the lead captain was terrible. She was disengaged, never poured refil in wine, and we waited an average of 30 minutes per course.
As we left I saw our server staring at her phone away from table service. It was an embarrassing experience as I recommended the restaurant...won't be back.
We were visiting Sedona on the recommendation of friends who also told us about this place. Balmy night, table by the creek, fantastic service with a very knowledgeable head waiter and the food was sensational. My only problem was I couldn't fit dessert in. Highly recommended
Cress on Oak Creek could not be more scenic. Sam, Joel, and the rest of the waitstaff were very attentive. Our starters and main courses were fantastic but if I were to dine here again, I would skip dessert. Highly recommended for a serene, picturesque, and delicious meal.
Cress literally sits on Oak Creek, beautiful sound from the creek as we were dining such that you didn't hear any of the other diners. Cress Creek has a very broad wine list ranging from inexpensive local wines to wines that I will never be able to afford. The dinner menu is priced fixed 3 or 4 course, around 100 dollars per person. The fourth course is dessert if you feel want it, you can decide after you finish the third course. Great idea. Service was excellent as was the food.
We were delighted by the setting. As it turned out, we were glad we had only an early seating available as we then witnessed the scenery in the light and the beauty as it faded. Excellent service-- knowledgeable and inobtrusive.
The menu felt like a splurge but was varied and each dish enjoyed by our party.
Amazing staff and food, very accommodating to a vegan guest. It was very chilly, but they had heaters and blankets available to help with the weather conditions. We came here to celebrate an anniversary and it was perfect. Definitely understand that a tasting menu means a little slower pace than usual and the portions won't leave you feeling stuffed, just amazed with the quality.
This restaurant is amazing. I could write an entire novel about how gorgeous the setting is, how great the food is, how superb the cocktails are, how attentive the staff are, etc. - but won't. Instead, just go and experience it. As long as guests know going into it that it's fixed price dining and are prepared in advance for the cost, I can't imagine what anyone could find to complain about. $90 per person spent in this manner for 2+ hours is way more soothing for the soul, fun, beautiful and memorable than any spa treatment. You'll have better photos from it too.
Incredible ambience dining creekside nothing could be more special. The service was so attentive and welcoming. The wine recommendation was spot on. The food was good but not overwhelming my wonderful for a restaurant of this caliber
Would go back again anytime. Also loved the bar lounge area.
