   I loves ending my last night in Sedona with a trip to Cress on Oak Creek @ L’Auberge de Sedona! I had the best view of the creek! The service was top tier! I can’t say enough about this amazing property! You must visit!

   Beautiful lunch overlooking Oak Creek. It was pricey but the setting was well worth the splurge. My husband enjoyed his burger and I enjoyed the airline chicken but the highlights were the chocolate mouse cake, cocktails and the setting!

   It was cool by the creek and the didn’t turn heaters on though they got a blanket for my wife. The food was great but slow to come out. It’s a long way from the kitchen to the creek and not only is it slow but food cools off. Coffee was luke warm.

   Arrived on time and waited 20 minutes. The reception hostess was rude, very unfriendly and had us wait another 15 minutes. She walked around and kept herself busy despite another party wanting and us waiting too. Food took 90 minutes to be served. Cappuccino machine broken, so we were served coffee with some foam floating on top of it… lukewarm. Was an underwhelming experience and despite being an outdoor dining experience, only a few tables had a heater.

   The staff is friendly but lacking the level the service one would expect from Forbes recommended property Wine selection is somewhat limited and extremely overpriced. The food is good but not phenomenal .

   Cress is a top of the top tier level dining experience! The menu is very creative and the food is delicious . My server Mac was awesome; he was efficient, excellent knowledge of the menu and had a relaxed friendly vibe while being professional. I started with an excellent vichyssoise followed by a perfectly done 16 oz prime ribeye topped with horseradish miso compound butter. My roasted root veggies were topped with a carrot top greens pesto - now how creative is that!!?? Thanks for an enjoyable evening Cress on Oak Creek! I’ll be back : )

   Halibut was over cooked, dry.. my friend had the chicken he said it was dry.. the other friend liked his pasta with ham and peas. It was very average..great location. The hostess wanted to put the party of three by the entrance, where the hostess podium would be in front of us when the entire restaurant was pretty empty. We requested another option before we sat down. It was a Sunday evening. I don’t think I would revisit for dinner, but could be charming outdoors for lunch.

    The view of the river was amazing. Sadly the tables next to it weren’t open, which I don’t understand since that’s the selling point. The inside of hotel was nicely decorated too. The service was good. The food however was horrible. I know it’s Sedona and food is pricier, but the my fried chicken for my breakfast was burnt (two other guests in other tables complained about same dish as well), the options were different from online and not too appealing, and it didn’t have any flavoring. I ate at other restaurants in Sedona that were lower price and had way better flavor and options. I would recommend to come see the river and leave, because the restaurant was not worth it at all.
